Wow... I wish I could play the guitar (or any type of string instruments, for that matter). But it's just one of those instruments that I just can't play.

MJ, if you can play some kind of instrument (probably piano?), you can probably pick up a string instrument. I just recently learned guitar and after MONTHS of messing around with it, it's not as hard as it used to be anymore.

Yep, I can play the piano and the organ. I also have a bamboo flute lying somewhere at home, and I once played my mom's old clarina before the mouthpiece finally broke.
I tried playing the guitar once, and I was absolutely clueless on how to position my fingers. (sweatdrop) But you did said it took you months, so perhaps I should try again, as the last time I had a guitar in my hands, I only had it for an hour or so... Anyway, thanks for the encouragement! - my already not-that-great relationship with my dad is getting worse, now i think i might just go to the east coast for college...far, far away from california. as much as i love california. i'm only applying to two schools on the east coast though, cornell university and rhode island school of design. if i do get into RISD chances are i'll go there...

;;;- went out to meet my friend in manila... got screwed up because of messy text messaging... that will teach me to look at the time and date the message was sent and to wake up before reading it!
- the weather was aslo weird... it was hot and scorching in the morning, then it suddenly rained heavily in the afternoon, with the sun still shining! got really wet even with an umbrella... T_T
- new games out: Star Ocena 3; GS4 (jap); and Phantom... something (from Atlus). didn't buy any because... because... wasn't really up to playing them anyway.
- came home late, will meet my friend again tomorrow, but this time at her house which is closer to ours.

You should also try going to Greenhills... that's where my friends and I usually shop for anime stuff (and where I bought my FMA gashapons). it's not as glamorous as megamall and glorietta though, but it's our favorite place, nonetheless

Yep! I can't say it's a professional instrument though. And to be honest, it plays more like a recorder than a flute. But I do like the sound it produces - it's the closest to a real flute I can actually get (as my parents refuse to buy me the metal one...).
Nope, I've never tried the violin. And I don't think I can play it either - when it comes to string instruments, I'm absolutely clueless!

I spent my days as a bum working on fanfics, websites, and playing either the piano or my flute every hour of every day. yeah, same here... i'm driving my mom nuts just by being here and she's driving me nuts by constantly complaining at me not having any work. but unlike you, i am SO not musically inclined so i tend to work on my computer (pc, ps2, ahehehe) and art(fanart) skills more.

Ah, at that time I don't have a PSX, and I don't have any games for my PS2 yet, which had been brand new at that time. But yeah, I didn't do much in terms of art work back then.
