I'd read back for the pages I missed, but I'm lazy.
I made sandstuff today!
I made a sand narwhal, and a sand mermaid, then I swam a bit, and gave Mathias a few piggyback rides. Still managed to avoid sunburn, luckily. My poor sister always burns. I wonder why... she often protects herself moreso than I do.
You know how you're drawing something, and then suddenly you decide the best way to add a finishing touch would be to watercolor it, but it's on drawing paper, so watercolors just make the paper crinkle? Probably not... but I've felt that frustration...
I started off with pencil, then completed the lines with charcoal, and I intended to do the sparse color in oil pastel, until I realized I don't have any brown pastels for some reason. So, I went for an odd self made watercolor brown mix, then I decided to watercolor the background as well, then I redid some outlines with ink pen, and charcoaled them up again. And the paper wrinkled, darn it all! ;_;
It still turned out decently enough to be my show-off item of the day, but it looks much better when the light of the scanner isn't exxagurating the way the paper warped. Read Or Die, Bizzatch!
(No really... "Read or Die"
