today was a whooping 93 degrees >.< it seemed soooooo hot today. man. when i was on the tennis courts i was chugging water like crazy because it was so hot. funny how 93 seems hot, but last summer i was complaing about 100+ temperatures. its been a pretty cold summer this year i guess.

tomorrow, i start volunteering at the tech-museum in san jose from 12-4, so if any of you guys happen to drop by, ill be there. heh.

On sunday, my mom and I went into the city to do some garage saling and random ethnic market shopping. (Khuab Poob Thsiab, anyone? )

At one sale a landlord was having, he had some items from a former tenant who was an artist, and who had moved out without leaving a forwarding address, or paying his last two months' rent (Honestly, lazy artists ). There was a large file box with a bunch of paint in it, among other things, which I was able to buy for $7. ("All contents included, except for one divorce paper that was in there. I thre that away. I don't think you want it, do you?" XD) I took an inventory a few days ago. Here are the total contents.

-well today i volunteered at the tech museum for 4 hours, which was extremely entertaining. first, i practically sat in the imax theatre and watched the films, but i had to clean up after the watchers. when i got bored of that, i went outside and chilled with the tech staff. they showed me this cool robot they had, that you can control out of a coffee mug they had, it was realllllly funny. there was a mic where the lip of the the coffee mug was, so you could pretend to be drinking coffee when you spoke for the robot. that was pretty entertaining, we got a few strangers to give the robot a hug. haa. then i lifted all these drinks because the tech staff was lazy, and now my arms are sore. BUT, the guy rewarded us with starbucks and i got the new green tea frap, which is really really good. you should try it sometime.

-naru is winning in lunar's hottest girl in anime tournament. yah!

Mm, I don't think Naru is exceptionally beautiful. She isn'r exactly proportional, but most anime girls aren't. -jesus f***ing christ. i probably hate my dad more than any other person on this entire Earth. I get home from classes and volunteering at 8:30 tonight, with my last meal being lunch the day before. im so friggin hungry and i see theres some pho in the refridge. i take it out and instead of microwaving it like i usually do, i decide to cook it to make it taste better since im so hungry. my dad's on the couch watching TV, so im like, dad help me cook this. so, he goes in explains how to cook it, and then goes back to watching TV. After the broth boils i follow his instructions, but asked him to repeat one part since he was using pretty advanced vietnamese terms to describe the state of the noodles and such. my dad explains it again, except this time, he explains it differently. so im like, wait didn't you say do this and this, and he gets all pissy and goes WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU CANT EVEN MAKE PHO, GO EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT. so im like uh..all i needed was help to cook this since i've never done it before, you dont need to get so angry. then he totally just explodes are starts yelling about how useless i am. >.< well, i cook my pho my way, i ate it, and then my dad starts telling my mom how i cant do anything. and i'm thinking, omg, i asked you for help dad because i didn't know how to cook it. you seem more interested in your TV show than teaching me how to make food >.< its unbelievable what lack of patience and rationality my dad has. i would give up anything to live somewhere else right now. >.<

Of course, it also depends on who's point of view it is. Personally, I think arche should pick this one up. - I'm back. On MY laptop. On MY bed. In MY room. In mother's house. In my hometown... etc... (could go on for awhile)
- The flight was alright. There wasn't much interaction between me and the people next to me. But on the way to Detroit from Nagoya, I was next to a Japanese mother and her son. I got a look at her book while she was reading and found it interesting how Japanese gets put on to paper. The kid had two mangas, one of which was Naruto. Of course it was in Japanese, so I had no clue as to what was going on...
- Speaking of which, Naruto was being aired on local T.V. in the Phillipines. In the local language, of course. I could only pick up pieces here and there, but entertaining none the less.
- Hah, Bling gets back a little before I get back to America. Bling, where were you? I need some tips for Manila... (shoot, maybe you could have taken me off my relatives hands for a bit...)
- Watched a ton of anime while I was there. Some I found particularly interesting: Arjuna (strange. the kind that makes you think), Texhnolyze (a darker anime, post-apocaliptic(sp?) setting), and Midori Days (comedy romance. is most likely shounen, but the theme is somewhat shoujo...)<---For some reason I have a particular interest in this one.
- Something's up with AIM. I couldn't communicate with EKE-kun. I feel like I let her down, since she seemed excited to see me...
- I'll be getting my new glasses fixed tomorrow. And I'll receive a RAV4 in the next two days or so... RAV4 sucks, but it's better than nothing. (or a Geo-metro at that...)
- I'll be heading to South Carolina soon. And then Alaska. Hopefully I can find a place with free Wi-Fi...
- It's good to be back home...

-Almost took out a motorcyclist yesterday. He was turning and I was going straight and just as I passed the intersection the turns and shoots into my lane so I had to slam on my breaks to avoid making him road pizza. He was so startled he almost laid his bike down in front of me (thats motorcycle talk for fell off). He was on a nice bike too, looked like it was a Harley but more than likely it was a Harley wannabe.

People, if you are going to buy a motorcycle learn to ride it before you take it out on the road. Us motorists would rather you not Darwinize yourself in front of our cars.

-Damn I must be tired, I've had to fix three typos in the post already.

- I got AIM working last night. So I had a chat.
- As it turns out, my 10AM eye appointment was really 11:30AM. And that got re-scheduled to the 6th of August. So much for that morning rush.
- Speaking of which, I got up at 9:41AM. It seems like the jetlag is gonna get me this time.
- I need to get shampoo. I left mine back there cause I thought they needed it. But as it turns out, I didn't have another one here. Real smooth on my part.
- I also watched a number of good quality animes over there, including Samurai7 and the Vision of Escaflowne.
- They supposedly showed a movie on that channel called Cloud Eight or something. My aunt (the annoying one) had the genuis idea of picking me up earlier than I wanted, so I missed it.
- Father will be here at 2PM. Which means I'll be getting to leave the house today.
- Why is it that my father's side of the family seems more annoying than my mother's? They're all supposedly Catholic, but they just don't seem like it...

Soo... I woke up at about 3 am. It's not a totally uncommon thing to happen to people, but usually you fall asleep again. I couldn't get to sleep again, so I tossed and turned and tried to sleep for a few hours until I finally rolled out of bed at about six to brush my teeth because I couldn't stand my own morning breath any longer. Yuck.

I had those Kimchee noodles again today, even though I didn't like them before. I was hoping that the spicyness would numb up my sore throat (Which was probably a result of the bad sleeping night). It did, and scary thing of all scary things, I kinda liked them this time. Me liking spicy foods is like... whoa. I guess it's true that it's a tolerance issue.

[spoiler]Did Lucy die or not? The very last scene complicated the heck out of me... I mean, you assume she was killed by the soldiers because there are like a million bullets flying at her and you see her second horn break off... but later there is a figure at the gate of the inn and the music box stops playing and the grandfather clock that Nyuu had tried to fix starts working again... Does that mean that the old Lucy (represented by the Lilium music box) has decided not to kill... and the nice side of Lucy that loves Kouta will be the only/dominant one?[/spoiler]
