spent my sunday at an animal shelter, well, it's more of a dog shelter and it was actually uplifting. There was this one dog, long-legged, mostly white with auburn who was just so shy. If you put your hand out, she'll jerk back and hide behind the bench. So finally after about two hours staying in there, getting to know the two other dogs that were in the enclosure, one would jump all over you and the other was very lonely, the shy one finally came out. She only let me pet her once, but she was unexpectedly soft. I dont know what her previous ownerrs did to her, butt it was heartwarming when she finally came out with the other two around me.

I agree that we should have a thread that just the oldies (i.e. those of us before CN) can talk in. that way we have some relief from the influx of newbies who speak chat speak and poorly at that.

Exactly! I don't understand those girls at all! And I hate the mall near my house. Sure, it's convenient and about a 10-minute walk away, but about 95% of the stores there are clothing stores.
And their bookstore is TINY.
I HATE THAT. A MALL ISN'T A MALL WITHOUT A BIG BOOKSTORE I CAN GET LOST IN. That's what I think anyway. This is why I get so much homework done at the mall. There is NOTHING there that interests me.

Haha! Most amusing thing I've heard all day!

Yes, I DO do my homework at the mall. My mandatory readings, at any rate. In the evening, when the food court's all calm and quiet, I sit there and read. And if I'm hungry, I buy food.

Only occasionally though, since I'm a Scrooge. It's nice there and I get things done because I don't have my computer and the forums distracting me.
