This will be the new thread for the scanlation of omakes and covers. If you have been to the old thread, you would realise how hectic things were, with the scanlations here and there. Therefore, this new thread will act as a the contents page for the achieve of omakes and covers that are now hosted at Photobucket instead. No more digging through posts!

The scans providers and translators will be noted beside the link, giving the credit where it is due. If I have left anyone out, please notify me. It is not intentional, but there are just so many things to do. I will just leave credit field of the scanlations that I have done blank, as it would be extremely redundant to type my name over and over. Enjoy!

Well, it is relatively short for a novel. Furthermore, since it was mostly text, not much editing was required.

I'm now working on the interwiew at the back of vol. 8, so additions are coming soon.

Shirokage: ah, I did download the chinese scans of Perfect Guide book 1... just that quite some editing is required if you ARE interested in editing that (personally, I believe it will take at least 2 months just to get it translated... and some of the info are quite straight forward, they are not needed to be translated)

I also have the actual copy of PGB 2... I can scan in some of the funny parts too if you are interested in editing (I hate editing... and I am not willing to spend 2~3 hours just to scan in the whole book ^^; )

After half a month of silence, I have the first page from the Perfect Guide scanlated. I know one page sound measly (I think it is too...) but it takes quite a bit of time to edit. Plus I still have to deal with homework, so sorry about the slow progress.

Another question: what is the official name for Ed and Al's hometown. In the scanlations that I've read they are written as Liesenburgh, Resembool, Risembul, or Rizenbul. So what's the real deal? I need the name for the map.

The map is page 6 and 7, so they aren't on the first page yet. Now that I got the official names, I can probably get them done tomorrow.

Picky note:
Mind you that the transcriptions from PG2 might be wrong (or at least, diferent than the manga. And I'd rather trust the manga). I say it because 'Ling Yao' (stated as such in the manga, in romaji) was transcripted differently (don't remember exactly... at least the 'g' was missing).

Maybe I should check on the PS2 game instead?

'Ling' was what the Amestris police wrote on his tag, 'Lin' is the proper spelling. You can say that it can be their natural mistake since Amestris and Xing actually have different languages (remember how Lin tried to skive off paying the meal in Rush Valley "Me no speakee this country's language"). It is just like how the Americans/British make weird spellings when they first tried to 'romanise' the Chinese surnames as well as Japanese names.

'Lin Yao' is the official name as this is also printed in Volume 11 in the character introduction page (you know, the 2 pages at the front where the character portraits and names are shown).
