i saw the 46th episode... and it is soo interesting how Lust's character develops. I knew from the beginning of the series that she is a very intelligent and matured person(and beautiful plus)

If you apply it to Ed and Al, then you wouldn't have to alter the explanation at all. Just change the goal to recovering their bodies.

Actually, it's not. Dante did promise to make them human after she got another Philosopher's Stone. Chances are she's just lying to them, but the fact is she did say she'd do it.

Actually it is only implied that Lust is dead. You do NOT see her fade away nor do you see Wrath striking a final blow. So it means that she could be alive.

dante sed she'd do it "if she feels like it" remember? ep 44?
lust probly wants to become human because she regained all her memory from her human past life. i mean if she suddenly remembers all the feelings that come with love, wouldn't she be in tremendous pain knowing that the man she loved died for her and she can't be with him in death? she'd want to become human so she can kill herself and see him on the other side as a human being.

about why homunculus wants to be human, it's because that's what they want since they were created.

The more you see of Lyla and her truth intentions, the less evil the homunculus seem.

Althought Envy and Wrath may seem to be exceptions, Envy's anger is mainly an abandoment issue, while Wrath is confused about his own existance.

Lyla is the real evil here it appears...

While most of the homunculus are following that pattern, the three that seem to be exceptions to the rule now are Pride, Envy and Gluttony. Pride because he's almost working with Dante rather than under her, and Gluttony because he doesn't think twice about eating innocent people.

I disagree with you about Envy because there is no justification for doing some of the things he's done. Whether he has motives or not, he hasn't thought twice about the people he's killed.

actually I agree about Envy's anger thing, he does have a really deep grudge to Hohemheim (his creator).

...so you're saying that because he dislikes his creator for abandoning him, he can go around killing people and still be considered a decent guy? It might be enough to make him a sympathetic antagonist, but don't even try to say that it justifies murder.

And before this goes any further I'd like to say I do like Envy, but he is most definitely evil.
