I voted for Rose. I didn´t really like her at the beginning because it was like she was blaming Ed for everything.
But I have to admit that she saved Ed in episode 41 and 42. But still...

I voted for Rose at first but I think I have to change my mind now.

I'm going with Rose, because.....although I see why they needed her in the anime to play whatever part she's playing at the end....it does get a bit annoying after a while. I agree that she's been through a lot, and I pity her for it....but as an overall character.....she got a bit annoying.
I love Winry, and she's awesome in both the anime and manga....but she does get a little annoying in the anime, though not as much as Rose.

I liked anime winry at first but then she started getting really annoying. I mean I know she is just worrying about ed and al (she has a right to, she's their best friend after all) but about the middle of the series she became this pointless character who wasnt supportive and was really whiny all the time. it was very annoying. Suprisingly though I love manga winry she's awesome! She's a much better character who's supportive and actually has a purpose! Anyways another character i found really annoying was roze. I understand that she's been through alot and all but seriously when they brought her back in the series the second time she seemed like this character who was only there so that you'd just feel bad for her. Well i think I'm done ranting now.

Sceska and Winry got somewhat annoying in the Anime (Both better in the Manga). Dante is...Dante. I don't like her, but she's not annoying either. If you want someone I REALLY dislike, though, it's Mae Chang (Manga exclusive).

mm... overall i liked them all. especially winry!!! how can someone hate a girl like her? she's sooo awesome, and makes me laugh.

Winry and Rose got annoying, I agree. But it's not Rose's or Winry's fault, it's the people who made the anime story's fault. 'Cuz they made them that way. In reality, in the manga, they're not like that at all. Well, Winry was annoying 'cuz you know, I hate this whole idea of maid-in-distress stories that always play back over and over. FullMetal was nothing like that, it's about everyone's struggles, and that's why I like it. But then Winry started to play the role of the maiden-in-distress. And then towards the end, Rose was like undoubtedly, obviously a maiden-in-distress and they obviously made it that Ed came all that way, came down there just to save Rose. And they obviously brought in the point that Ed loves her...so out there, so obvious, so boring. See how I overused "obvious", 'cuz there's no other way to describe this boring junk of maiden in distress.

I voted Hawkeye, but really it's a tie between her and Izumi. Why? Because I really want to like these characters more than I do, but then they go and do crazy stuff like shoot at puppies or commit horrendous child abuse which just keeps me at arms length from them. That annoys me.

The manga script is written by a woman, Hiromu Arakawa. The anime script is written by a man, Sho Aikawa. You can tell the differences just by looking at the way the female characters are portrayed. All the girls are stronger, more interesting, and more helpful in the manga than their anime counterparts. It's pretty sad.

I wouldn't call Rose fan service,all the girls and women (apart from Pinaco) are hot or cute but them again alot of the guys are apprently hamdsome...not that I'd notice ofcourse <_< ; >_>;

I really wavered with Lust, so I know what you mean. She never really got to me until they started explaining her past, ironically.
I think aside from Riza, Izumi, and possibly Trisha.. The girls all annoyed me at some point. But, then again, a lot of the characters annoyed me at some point for different reasons. I never disliked Riza and Izumi. Ever. So they're good in my book.
Noa and Rose got me a little annoyed. :/ They aren't strong characters like the other girls of FMA. And I mean physically and mentally strong, like standing up for themselves and stuff.
I don't really have a reason for not liking Winry, but her voice in the Japanese version made me want to rip my hair out. D:<

I voted Winry because even though she is very similar in the manga, it is annoying to to actually hear all the whining and crying! LOL, I know it sounds horrible but still, that's my opinion.
I don't think any of the females in FMA in particular annoyed me >_> Some had their moments, but for the most part, I like them all.
