Ummm, this is kinda silly question, but... what happened to our "Welcome" greeting posts to another
What no Bacon that we posted on early Thursday (5/11) morning on "Newcomers" thread?? They seem to have all disappeared.
(And, just for my curiousity, did the person get banned, or got warning for using that name?? 'cause I don't see his/her "Hi I'm new" post anymore, too!!

)
But, anyway, the greetings we posted for him/her are not there anymore, but... we didn't do anything wrong by posting our greetings to him/her, right??
I mean, we slightly joked, and added some comments about his/her ID, but I thought we kept it more or less in line with our greetings...

I have this problem too and I was like you until someone rescued me *wipes tear*
Firstly do you have a photobucket album? if not, you can create an account
hereSecond, you upload the images.
Don't miss out the image which you want it to be your siggie!Third, under "Edit Signature", insert the URL of the image that you want (it is located directly under that image).. Then proceed to update your siggie..
And, there you are ^^
I have a dumb question now, does anyone see the "warning" thing under my avvy? I wonder what it is.. It seems like something bad to me..

No one but the Mods can see other peoples warings. Click the number and it should bring up the reason for the warning.
It serves no pupose other than to le the mods know who is being dumb, spammy or a berk so other mods know who to keep an eye on. I fyou behave I think it can be lowered.

I don't know if this is the place for this, but this has always been irking me, and now that the people on Lj reacted also, I feel like I should ask; The arts and avatars in the gallery are not credited, and can therefore be considered stolen (and that is pretty ironic for a site where there's a topic against art thievery), so I was wondering if mesures could be taken (plus, people said that they emailed bryantq but that he had always been ignoring this matter).

It'll take a lot of effort to go through the galleries to see which things are credited vs not credited.
Who knows it, it might not be credited, but has been posted several times before on other sites etc.
Perhaps you can restrict new submissions to credited works only or remove pieces of art upon request. There's a total of 7000+ images in the gallery. I feel sorry if anyone has to through them for this.
To go back and look through the entire gallery is a wasted effort in my opinion. The mods have better things to do (with their real lives) then spend time appeasing some uppity art communities' "high" standards.

The art and avatars used to be :\ unfortunately with the gallary collapse and restore, this is the only method in which we are able to restore the gallery. (Importing the images by one user at bulk).
However, users can feel free to send the moderators a request for the images to be tagged by the artists. Thats what the gallery mods are there for

. It is however not feasible for us to go through the images and try to determine the author (especially if one isnt plainly signed).

Look at the first post on this page or whatever thread you're interested in ... on the upper right hand corner of the topmost post there should be a drop down menu labelled : Options ?
Select "Track this topic" and choose the type of updates you want.(it'll end up taking you to My Controls)
you can probably automatically enable this to track every thread you post in too.

When you go to add a post, check the option that says "Enable email notification of replies?" under 'Post Options' (it's available under Fast Reply, too). Then, if you no longer wish to receive those spammy little e-mails every single time someone adds a post, you can "unsubscribe" to threads/topics in a section of your Control Panel.
EDIT: Meh,

Off-topic: Does Fast Reply work for you? It takes me to the main fma page.
edit: nm, I have to enable scripting for this page for it to work.
I used to utilize 'fast reply' a lot in an older versioin of IPB, and it didn't require me to enable scripting. Oh well.

clear your dns cache
start menu -> run
in the run box, type: 'cmd' and hit enter
this should bring up a big black box ( a command prompt)
in there type:
"ipconfig /flushdns"
you should get a message that says:

Your rank will rise by every 100 posts. I remeber someone telling me about it. Though mods claim that quality is the one that you need when you post, most of the users are more affectionate to the people who have 200 posts or more.

Rank doesn't increase linearly....for example i haven't changed rank since post 500~
And in truth, post count means nothing.
If you haven't learned the rules by 200 posts, be sure to know that people will still b*tch at you for it.
