I beat it in 9 hours cause I hasted my time at the end training from lvl 32 to lvl 35.
I beat the game twice in 19 hrs.
I got 4 kitties the first run, and teh other 3 the second.

Let's just hope that the 3rd installment is longer, and possibly not so 'linear' in storyline. I liked the plot explaining about the whole ancient civilization that died in one night though. And the whole cat thing...too hillarious. But I can't believe I missed some playing it a 2nd time. o.O; Or was that supposed to happen? Ah well, I'll get them all. Now...I just need to play the 1st game. I couldn't get it since they were sold out at one point and FMA2 was the only one left and the last copy in Target at that.
Yeah, it was quite short (i've played twice... only twice and finished the game.... cooler yeah, but even shorter than the first 
) maybe the 3rd have some sidequest and things like that... (you know, the cats are cute and all but... i don't have the morale to play a second time only to search for cats ¬¬u).

the best thing about the third game is that, you don't have to play the whole game again to obtain all the cats (unless you missed the cat on the last chapter... then yes, you have to play the game all over again to get that cat because you can't use the map again after you beat the final boss)
It has a mapping system that allows you to go back to previous chapters just to play it over again (except that there is no bosses) to collect items or to level up.
ShiroiKazeru: I suggest that, for every chapter, right before you fight the boss, you walk back just to go look for cats. Some cats (namely chapter 1 - Lior, 3 - Scar, 4 - Resembool, 5 - umm the one with Riza, if I remember correctly) only appears the second time you access the area.

I'm in Siam-Sid, i could have beat it all in one day but i'm a profectionist and i wont settle for a lesser rank than A.... soo..... i have Redone the fight with scar three times before i got my A and then i had a bit of trouble with the Horn golem until i put Al on one of the ShotGun Cannons.

Finally beat it today, took me two days in about three sittings (between working).
I only got 3 cats! And I had no Idea about Hyate! Never read anything up on it till now, So this is cool. It gives me all the more reason to go back and play it again!
I still haven't finished the first one. I can't seem to blow up the frog looking Chimera boss from the inside with those dang bombs. Last time I played it and got far on that game was when I was running a 103 temp fever. Perhaps I'll have to wait around for the flu again before I manage to beat that boss?

I love the music in the cut seen where ed and al destroy the stone. , I had to level up alot just to beat crowleys second form. took me 4 days. but lvl 36 did the trick. but I just love that armlet of perception.

my brother gained a few levels, then he got scar to break the box in front of the cow and he used it. (that cow is so adorable!)
armstrong, you just have to wing it without alchemy.

Scar just takes time..... and armstrong requires Combo's between Al and Ed like pinball
yeah. oh you know when you are in lior, you can find another cat? you have to beat the game first and start playing it over.
Scar is pretty easy if you good at countering and same for armstrong.

Well first he defeats him twice and then when he keeps coming back, the third time as some weird monster, he goes off to find the crimson stone while Mustang, Hawkeye, and Armstrong hold off Crowley. He destroys the stone which was the only thing keeping Crowley alive and so he dies.[/spoiler]

If you beat Scar you get Sunglassas they activate accu-strikes.If you beat Armstrong you get something that protects you from being stuned.
I thought this game was really good, despite X-Play's bad reviews (but when are their reviews ever any good). I kinda wanted an option with the USA version to have the Japanese voices (as i dont really care for the american actors). This game had a good plot, i liked how it went in and out of the anime plot. Definately had its humor in it (the scene where they think that Edward is trying to woo Maes' 2 y/o daughter, CLASSIC!). The cell shading couldve been a bit smoother, and the game couldve been a bit longer. But other than that, i gotta give this game an 9/10.
Ill probably end up playing the New Game Plus tonight... Gotta find all them crystals.

I can't beat the weird creature that appears outside of the secluded house. Anyone have any tips as to how to beat it?
Well, it's easy to beat any boss in the game, but what's difficult is to get an A-rank. You should use a sword to fight the creature. When you have a rage attack saved up, go transmute one of those cannon/shotgun things on the sides, and lure the creature right in front of it. Then, use your rage attack to stun it. Then, climb on the cannon/shotgun thing and keep shooting the creature, which would get you a high combo. Keep doing that whenever you have a rage attack, because it also takes away quite a lot of its health, too. The equipment I liked most in the level was the level-2 bombs, I think you can transmute them from the little balls that the creature shoots out. So, transmute some of those, and throw them at the creature at point-blank. When it's going for one of those fire attacks, run away and keep hitting the dodge button. When it's doing that laser thing, run behind it and slash it with your sword. If you need anymore help, I can play that level again to remember how I did it.
Anyone managed to get the crystal at Underspire, Second Descent? I simply find it impossible. Anyone got any tips?

Your level gets reset, but besides your items, you also get keep your skills too, so you can still use swords, hammmer, etc. and transmute higher level weapons. At level 99, you can transmute level 2 flash bombs, which can kill every enemy on screen, including bosses (Yay!).
There was a coment earlier about Winry and Sophie being able to upgrade weapons. Anyone know if this is true and how/where you get them to do that?

It's true. You only need to talk to them with your items.
Wow, there's a lot of stuff I missed. I just got a PS2 last week and I got the Crimson Elixer 5 days ago, and I got Broken Angel three days ago. I beat Crimson Elixer in three days. I suppose I'll go back and get all the puppies and kitties, because Broken Angel really sucks.

Well I thought she was pretty easy to beat. First off don't let your HP get too low. Keep healing yourself. And as for Al...don't heal him. Just wait till he dies and bring him back. It's much easier and you save the items for yourself.
And dodge alot! And using some stone walls is pretty helpful.
Also when she goes in the center...get away! Cause she'll do this pretty powerful attack that can easily kill you.
Don't keep attack her like you're on a roll. Attack her and then run a bit and repeat. Because if you attack her over and over again she'll do this attack where she take you into the air.
