Well, it wouldn't be such a bad thing if it weren't for the fact that certain people don't like being accused of being the oposite sex.

Of course you can't tell the gender unless they have the words girl/boy/male/female, etc. Like ~FMAgurl~ for instance. I always take a wild guess at genders and they usually turn out right. Once I was wrong. A long time ago, I thought zarpia was a boy.... *sweatdrop* Sorry if I offended anyone.

Oh, I don't know. Some people are amazingly perceptive or just have a knack for pointing out genders.

The safest thing to do is to never assume the genders of anyone. Just pretend that everyone is fe/male or a hermaphrodite until you're absolutely sure.

I just remembered that there have been a couple of gender confusions with me. My sister Animie Gal listed me as her sister not knowing I was a boy. I'm sure other members have mistaken me as well. Is it really that hard to tell I'm a boy?

Hmm, I've been mistaken [multiple times at that] for a guy as well, even before I got the title of 'King of Shonen-ai'. I always thought I sounded and not mention acted too girly for people to mistake me, but apparently I thought wrong.

I think the avatar and signature is the number one factor when assuming a person's gender. The username a second.
