I love this pairing. Sorry, but I do. And why do I like it? a) I never, ever go for pointless smut and I've found fics that are both incredibly in-character, draw themes from the series, and seem canon. I think part of the appeal of yaoi is that you can choose between which guy to identify with, instead of HAVING to identify with a female. Plus it's interesting because of the fact it's forbidden socially in the first place. *shrugs* There's all this secrecy and stuff characters have to go through that you wouldn't find in Royai traditionally (gender, them being in the military, age to name a few).

My poor mother caught me reading this once, and insisted on reading it outloud with me. She actually kinda liked it *phew* but now she thinks Fullmetal Alchemist is entirely about yaoi... whoops.

Anyways, this author has written a whole bunch of other fanfics too, each very long and with different well-developed themes, but it's all EdxRoy! <3 *pause for fangirl moment* They are all rated PG-13, but she would never put in a sex scene. (She's linked them though for those who would dared - and I have dared!)
