and armstrong...is just armstrong

anyway, I can't wait until tomorrow *coughrawcough*

and the translation (got from here...)

August 27th:
Episode 46: "Flesh Forging" (Human Transmutation)
Airs: Saturday 6:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M., Japan Standard Time
Ed, who opted to fight with the Homunculi, visits Izumi's orgins in order to obtain Wrath's weakness. Meanwhile, left behind, Al goes some where in order to understand how to use the Philosopher's Stone: It is Shou Tucker's hiding place.

I LOVE MILITARY DRESS UNIFORM HATS.

The series seems to be tending toward Roy/Riza. Last week's episode, with the handkerchief, and this weeks, with Roy's face in regard to Riza's glasses...Pardon me; I think I'll go fangirl.
Haroken
THose hats are PIMP.
wolfi1412
hey!! those hats aren't PIMPs! they're cool I think...
Chibi Viki
yeah, I like Roy and Armstrong with their hats (and I think the anime is trying to promote them since they've released official cosplace pieces of military hats:

hehe, kidding...

but, I'm actually afraid for Roy. Pride could easily kill him to silence him. But why do I have a feeling that the anime is going to make Bradley look like "a good guy with no choice but to be a bad guy"?

question: since Ed had or will obtain weaknesses for sloth, wrath and lust... what about envy and gluttony?
ZetaStriker
But why do I have a feeling that the anime is going to make Bradley look like "a good guy with no choice but to be a bad guy"?

If anything, I get the feeling Bradley might become one of the real villains of the anime. Dante is at least human in her reasoning, Bradley just seems to be excessively cold and calculating. Even Envy, who is probably the cruelest of all the Homunculus, shows more personality than Bradley.

question: since Ed had or will obtain weaknesses for sloth, wrath and lust... what about envy and gluttony?

I don't see any way he could, unless Lust ends up telling him. Dante sure isn't going to give that bit of info up, and Hohenhein, if he even knows, is... eh... 'indisposed' right now.
wolfi1412
Yay! Hooray for Lust!! love Anime's Lust! we can rely on Lust or if Hohemheim managed to escape!
ZetaStriker
I get the feeling Lust's fate will be directly tied to Gluttony's. Whether she betrays the other Homunculus or not, those two have been together through so much of the series that when one goes down it wont take long for the other to follow.

There doesn't seem to be any loophole to be exploited for Envy and Pride though. Gluttony might have showed Lust where his remains are, but I seriously doubt she knows anything about Envy's. As for Pride, he doesn't even have any remains.

Oh, and is anyone else expecting Envy to come back and fight the Elrics as Hughes? It looked like that's who's form he was in in the current ending...
Chibi Viki
hey zetastriker! long time no see! biggrin.gif

anyway, it'll be to envy's advantage if he/she does. but I don't think the Erlrics will be affected that much because... well, because of Sloth.
Virtue
I think Gluttony will follow Lust no matter what she does. He acts like a child and I think he kind of looks up to her.

All in all it will DEFENITLY be a great episode!
ZetaStriker
hey zetastriker! long time no see!

Yeah, for a while the site was loading incredibly slow on my computer. Eventually I got sick of it and stopped coming here. Seems to be working now though, so, here I am!

I think Gluttony will follow Lust no matter what she does. He acts like a child and I think he kind of looks up to her.

At the same time though, he's very submissive to both Pride and Dante. He may eventually help her, but he wont follow along right away.

Of course, this is assuming that Lust even betrays the Homunculus. There could be other reasons for her being near Ed and not attacking. Still, I have to admit the chances of her defecting are very high.

Preview for FMA 47:

http://mbs.jp/hagaren/bb/47kain.asx

At the end of the trailer you see Riza with Glasses... just an information for the fangirls around here... oh, and Eds arm is transmuted into a cannon ^^

Watching RAW now, will post my impressions later.
RolfKaese
*push*

again a wonderful episode...
Envy is back, and we get to see his unhuman strenght... with one punch, i think he could smack off the head of a human lol, its extreme O_O

lust switched sides.... EdxLust coming soon? ^^
anyway, lust kills off wrath, so he died the first time ^^

edo-kun looses his hand, because wrath rips it off, but as i said, lust helps edo and escapes with him.
shou tucker used al to "revive" nina, but at the end sloth comes to the place and shows al that a part of his armor is missing, so it means Als body will "rot" away because of using the p.stone just like hohenheim and dante do...

cant wait for a sub x_X
Master Fwiffo
Arggh! Tantelizing hints with no real info!

Come on, where has Evny been? Did Tucker die trying to ressurect Nina? Did he actualy ressurect Nina? Is Riza really wearing glasses now?

What?
riot
Hm, i think that gluttony might be the unborn child of lust when she was still human... and after the transformation she gave birth to gluttony... that could answer the question why gluttony looks so different from all the other homunculi and less human... but its just a guess without a proof smile.gif
RolfKaese
Come on, where has Evny been?
-Dunno.
Did Tucker die trying to ressurect Nina?
-No.
Did he actualy ressurect Nina?
-Looks like it.
Is Riza really wearing glasses now?
-perhaps, the scene faded out with riza wearing glasses at the hospital (which are actually Fury's glasses ^^)
Hellrasinbrasin
Now remember the current and final opening when you see the town through a decending elevator. Well IN THIS EPISODE WE LEARN THAT THE CITY IS REACHED THROUGH A HIDDEN ELEVATOR BEHIND A FAKE BOOK SHELF IN THE FUHRER'S OFFICE. In the add for the 47th Episode: "Homunculus Sealed" we see that Sloth is possibly dead why because Wrath is desperatly trying to hold onto a
a huge puddle of water that was once I assume to be sloth
. Well what about Lust I think she might lose her head. Then that leaves Wrath, Envy, Pride and Dante left to deal with but since the title is "Homunculus Sealed" maybe Wrath gets sealed I don't know, gonna have to wait and see the next episode to confirm that idea. If true, then only Pride, Envy and Dante would be left to contend with.
RolfKaese
really? well that part is always missing in my raw, but well i get the raw almost 30min after it aired in japan, so its okay tongue.gif

Gluttony is older than lust because Greed already met him by the past (that is what lust said to Greed).
The_Lazy_Alchemist
Hey, is it just me or did Roy and Armstrong get promotions? In that scene where Roy and Armstrong are talking to Pride, Pride used the words "Roy Mustang-Junshou(Or however you spell Brig. General in Japanese)" and "Alex Louis Armstrong-Chuuisa(or however you spell Lt. Colonel in japanese). Are they leaving to some war? That'd explain the sudden promotions.

And Envy's strength is cool...One punch and there's a semi-giant crater. I wonder why Archer came up before that commercial. He's like manga yoki. He just popped up.
RolfKaese
um... dunno why roy takes the glasses from fury... but its a gayish moment, roy pushes a half-blushed fury onto the bed and then takes his glasses.... *_*

Just watched the Raw.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

First off, this is my first time watching an FMA raw. I feel dirty not waiting for the sub ><

Anyway....

Nina iis the new Greed. She has to be. Maybe we won't see her as such until the movie in 05, but I will bet anything she is the new Greed.

I am now convinced Al will lose his current body by the end of the series. Wether he ends up dead, a human, or in a new suit of armor, Al will not have his current body at the end of the series.

I do not think Izumi will come back after this episode. Someting just tells me that.

And, MAJOR SPOILER FOR NEXT WEEK

Sloth doesn't appear to survive another episode.

Wow. I have no idea how they're going to wrap this up in just 6 more episodes.
Carnal Malefactor
One of the main strengths of this series is how you absolutely have no idea how it will end, Positive or negative, for each character.

Oh, and as to why Hawkeye was wearing Fury's glasses... It was just Mustang fooling around, trying to ease the tension, since he's going off to a northern campaign he may not make it back from. I think Hawkeye mentioned something about Fury having athlete's foot...? blink.gif

Anyone else find the part with Wrath jumping on the bed like a little kid a tad disturbing?

Oh yah, and Archer's still alive... how, I have no idea. He doesn't look too comfortable, though.

Oh, and Envy WAS created by Hohenheim.
odoridan
It seems like Dante created Greed and Pride (?)

Poor Gluttony. He's the only Homonculus whose origin is still unknown and he wasn't even in the episode.
Carnal Malefactor

eheheh... sorry...
Virtue
This was an odd episode. Why would you only send Sloth after Alphonse? He is the Philosiphers stone, for all we know if a homunculus touches him they go to the gate and are sucked into it @__@

The whole "there being a town under the furherers office" is weird. I know its under the whole city but wtf, they should have explained this earlier because just throwing in this random town under a town is just weird.

Also it looks like thanks to Tucker the P.Stone cannot be used for a while. Damn that weirdo...and Archer...come on. Just let him die @__@

You're a good man/woman.

IMO, it started degrading at around episode 15, picked up a bit 18-23, and took a major hit at 25 and has been going downhill steadily since.

(Am I the only one in the world that thinks Hughes' death was NOT handled well? It was EXTREMELY out of character, he would not stand there, he would not pause for a second, no matter what form Envy took. BUT WAIT, ENVY HAS MONSTER STRENGTH SO HE WOULDN'T NEED TO USE DECEIT LOLLLLL)

*cough*

You see... Envy is so strong like Rofl said, he could smack off someone's head with one punch... Especially when he's pissed off with that fella "aitsu"

So when he was punching up Ed without any restraints in the 5th Lab, (Lust was the one that restrained in then), why the hell wasn't Ed's head blown cleanly off?

laugh.gif Envy must have went into some ninja cave and underwent intensive strength training for those time he was missing or taking steroids.

Bunch of bullshit. All of a sudden, he's the strongest thing there is. Bah

Exactly my point. The anime has bitten off way more than it can chew, and this episode has given the damn thing so many plotholes it isn't even funny. FMA is quickly becoming yet another example of an anime that simply couldn't.

What makes you think he wasn't using restraint at that time? Lust just told him to stop hitting him. He was probably holding back because he was told not to kill Ed back then.

As for those who are accusing the series of having all these plot holes... point some out that are really important [no small potato crap like the one I mentioned for 11 & 12].

Yes, Fury is being left behind (I guess) because of mizumushi. The glasses are probably there just because Mustang is indulging some sort of megane-ko fetish--it's just a joke.

Nina does not appear to be back, actually--Tucker is just delusional--since Sloth says it has no soul. I don't think Nina could be the new Greed, since that's just an empty shell, like an Ayanami in a tank.

Archer is still alive, yes. I'm guessing they're going to make him into a chimera or something, since there's no reason to have him sticking around otherwise.

That doesn't answer my question.

What people have to realize is that this isn't some kiddie show like InuYasha that lays everything out in a neat little package for you. FMA respects the audience's intelligence and therefore leaves some things unanswered right up front, so you need to put the pieces together yourself. If you're mistaking that aspect of the series for plot holes, then I just don't know what to say.
Virtue
Plotholes? What ar eyou talking about @__@

If you used your head in the 5th Labratory Envy and the others were tyring to get Ed to create the Philosiphers stone. So, what use would he be if he had no head -__-

and as no bacon said this isnt an aniem for the peopel who like DBZ and Digimon, they actually make you use your head in FMA -__-

Uhmm... there was a thread on animesuki pointing out plotholes galore and several of them still remain unexplained, e.g. Al's blood seal's sudden vulnerability to water, the advanced special forces chimeras existing long before Tucker's primitive chimeras but the latter's are actually 'valued', Pride revealing his identity to Alphonse for no reason and not killing him, etc...

Also it seems like we're going to have a new opponent, the Mummy!!! (aka Frank Archer who miraculously survived an atomic bomb like transmutation laugh.gif While they are at it, they should throw in all the previous opponents of Ed & Al who are still possibly alive as well as throwing in all other characters for a Grand Melee.

Uhmm... there was a thread on animesuki pointing out plotholes galore and several of them still remain unexplained, e.g. Al's blood seal's sudden vulnerability to water,

Did he fall into water earlier in the series? I don't seem to remember that, but the possibility of the blood seal being washed away with water seems like a real one to me. There's a chance of a plothole here, but nothing major anyway.

the advanced special forces chimeras existing long before Tucker's primitive chimeras but the latter's are actually 'valued'

The people who valued Tucker's expirements weren't in on the creation of the special forces chimeras. You do realize it was a government secret, right? No plothole here...

Pride revealing his identity to Alphonse for no reason and not killing him, etc...

At that point the Homunculus had no reason to kill Al. As far as they knew, the Elric brothers may still have been needed to create the Philosopher's Stone. Besides, Al had no proof and therefore wouldn't be able to convince anyone who wasn't already a threat anyway.

Martyl, on the other hand, was a problem. Not only was she living proof of what really happened in Ishval, but her unveiling of that truth would also give her the evidence she'd need to expose Sloth. From there, dethroning Pride as well would only be a matter of time.

I don't really see the plothole here, there was more reasons not to kill Al then to do so.

Also it seems like we're going to have a new opponent, the Mummy!!! (aka Frank Archer who miraculously survived an atomic bomb like transmutation While they are at it, they should throw in all the previous opponents of Ed & Al who are still possibly alive as well as throwing in all other characters for a Grand Melee.

There were reports of soldiers only being wounded by the creation of the Philosopher's Stone, and Archer was on the outskirts of Lior when it happened. Think of it like standing near where a bomb went off; while the explosion wont hurt you, the shrapnel and shockwave will.

It's confusing with the Archer thing , I mean , it might be possible that he'll appear in the next episodes, but for what? with half face off he can't do anything , MAYBE he will be the bad guy on the FMA movie. I can't think of any way that Archer will be a star on the 6 eps left. but then again this is FMA anything could happen , I woudlnt be surprise if at the end Ed ends up loving Roy in a yaoi kinda way. Only because that's what people expect the least so it's most likely to happen.
