i feel so sad *cries* i can't hear all of those songs people keep saying kick ass. I have the album SMILE though, and waiting for Sam Goody to be nicer and give me awake.

i can listen to these songs for hours at a time:
Ready, Steady, Go!
Coming Closer
Feeling Fine
REVELATION

Laruku AWAKE Album

Laruku songs usually aren't that hard to find, with a few exceptions. There are torrents with their entire discogrphy, you know.
Chiyo
I am addicted to Link somewhat at the moment...but at least I've moved on from Lost Heaven.

Jojoushi, is probably my favourite on the Awake album.
Sleeping Forest
ah...laruku...
my favorite has to be dive to blue...
but i liked ready steady go, link, lost heaven, and forbidden lover...
ELRIC_LOVER

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean. People who have heard like 2 songs from them who say they love them are annoying. Laruku have tons of better songs than the Hagaren ones, anyway.

I agree as well. Personally, I don't like ReadySteady Go because of the Engrish in it...
Meh, I like Lover Boy and Blurry Eyes...

Like your Fate/stay sig Slashrose1010.

I know I'm a guy, but I absolutely love their works, and I think all their songs old and new are great, some better than others, but they're overall an excellent Japanese band and my personal favorite band of all time. Lies and Truth is a very well done song, and I like Snowdrop too. I love Hyde, and I look up to him. In some videos he looks like he's in the mafia (a friend told me this, and I had to agree), at least in some videos. and he looks so kick@$$. When there's dancing in videos that I feel are directed to the opposite sex, I'll just minimize it and continue to listen to it with just audio, and whevever there's another work done by them I have to hear it. Hyde has a great voice and I'm addicted To L'Arc~en~Ciel every day. Link is also a great song.
Roy-Riz-fan
L'Arc~en`ciel is also one of my favorite Japanese rock bands.Lost Heaven is my fave song.
Rogue37
Wow, my first post is about Laruku <strike> Yeay, I love Tet-chan und his band.
Hope they do something together in the next time (but I don't think so)

I do love the older things much more than the new albums, but anyway I love them,
no matter what they do. Some of my fav. Songs are good morning hide, Anata, Pieces,
heavens drive, shinshoku and ... well, I could go on like that. There are not many songs, that
I don't like <grin>

And by the way, you can be a Fan of Laruku even if you only know two songs, right? I mean
everyone has started somewhen, nope?
Kitty Alchemist
I love there song! the only song I know is:
Ready Steady Go
4th Avenue Cafe
Blue Drive (I thnk that what it call)
And there another one I don't know the name of it but i was good.

Yeah, but I still wouldn't really call myself a fan of a band if I only knew two songs. I have liked one song from bands and tried more and was very disappointed. Dang one-hit wonders. So you should really try Laruku thoroughly before really deciding if you like them or not, especially since their music is pretty diverse in style.
sweety_pie
the only song i no is READY, STEADY, GO i only listen to its the theme song 2 FMA

MeLRizA

Slashrose1010
You should listen to Tetsu69, then. It isn't as good as Laruku, imo, but they still have some pretty good songs.

Yeah, some of the 2005 remixes are pretty good. I actually like the remake they did of Heaven's Drive more than the original. Both are great songs, though.
Hoi san_
yeaah laruku !
my brother played their songs soo often
that i like their songs too

I like ready steady go, videoclip !!
that one when u see them as cartoon
walking up the podium..

dunno if anyone know what i mean hehe unsure.gif
Slashrose1010
Yeah, the music video for RSG. They are little chibis walking in line from one side of the screen and then they do the corny peace sign tongue.gif It is cute. Too bad you don't really see their faces that much in that video. Oh well, they didn't look especially hot in that vid anyway. They look better in Jojoushi.
Thievesvinegar
Bah. No charisma.
kahel16

L'arc~en~ciel is so cool!!!

i like their songs:

ready steady go
link
lost heaven
driver's high
seppun

La Femme Rigolotte
Of course I like L'arc-en-ciel! Hyde is so~! ::drools::

This band is second only to Gackt, who is also droolable. ::wants to watch Moonchild now::
Edamame
I love L'Arc en Ciel's music because it has a tendency to be quit unique. One minute Hyde can be singing a beautiful and heart-felt ballad while playing the piano and the next minute he can be screaming into a mircophone with his band-mates playing away on drums, bass and key-board. Their songs mix numerous styles and I think that their music is "an aquired taste"; you either love them or you hate them. Personally, I enjoy more of their older songs.

Some favourites: Jojoushi/ As If in a Dream/ Hoshizora/ Eien/Hitomi Ni Utsuru Mono

<Merged "L'arc~en~ciel, A funny little story/" thread with the following three posts here. 02/04/07 ~Tombow>

I've been an FMA fan ever since they started airing on Cartoon Network. Mind, I've never been a stay-up-until-midnight-on-a-Sunday type of guy, especially not in Middle School, so I never really got very into it. I mean, I considered myself a fan and bought four out of four of the mangas that were in stock the day I found them.

Last year I sat in front of my Laptop and watched eeeeverryyyy episode in about two weeks. And this is one of the two animes in which I actually wanted to find and download the music (which I did, but that's irrelevent).

My favourite songs of them all seemed to come from L'Arc~En~Ciel. So I ran up a Wikipedia search and found that they did some other animes as well. So, pretty famous, pretty talented, pretty cool.

I put it on my MP3 Player and thought that would be the end of it.

Some point in the few months before I moved to Florida, my girlfriend just had to show me this picture of this delicious asian guy she found on the internet. His name was Hyde.

"He is, indeed, delicious," I agreed, and then we went to the park or something. I don't remember.

Some point a week or so later, we were listening to my Mp3 player together. She had the gadget, of course, since she's a control freak like that. So we turned to 'Ready Steady Go'.

"Ohmygawd!" she exclaimed. "I know this song!"
"Really?" I replied, perplexed. "It's from an anime I watch."
"I dunno. I don't watch anime, silly," she said, and then I yelled at her because she doesn't watch anime. She cried and I slapped her.

So later in those few months we were at her house, and she was looking at some Hyde webpages or something. I was playing Halo with her little brother, and we were all discussing some random high school crap.

And then a L'Arc~En~Ciel song started playing.

"Oh!" my ladyfriend said. "He's in a band! I thought he was just a model!"
"Hold up!" I shouted. "That's no regular Japanese band, m'lady, that band is famous for ANIME THEME SONGS! YOu're an OTAKU!"

And there we have it. Hot normal teenage girl and ugly geeky teenage guy, brought together by fate and this talented, sexy young Japanese man.

Thank you, L'Arc~En~Ciel, for giving me a good chance to embarrass my girlfriend.

Discuss.

Also L'Arc~En~Ciel, because everyone loves it.
Kenji
L'Arc~En~Cie 's Ready Steady Go is my favourite opening...

but overall I like Tobira no Mukuo e by YeLLOW Generation...

Aha! So there are two L~Arc threads!! And here I thought I was going crazy... thanks, Tombow!

That's cool, The Dan!

It's quite funny, b/c every now and then I will hear someone drum out parts to Ready, Steady, Go or repeat the English parts, and I get all excited each and every time... And each and every time they really do know the song, but give me a freaked-out look when I ask them if they like FMA... I don't know how they all find that one song, but it sure ain't from the anime! laugh.gif

It's gotta be Hyde.

Hot asian guys hold some sort of godly power. D:

Hahahahaaa!!! laugh.gif One of the favorite past-times of a friend of mine is to find pics of random J-pop singers, and then ask us the burning question, "male... or female?"

It's so hard to tell sometimes.... But yeah, Hyde does have a certain charm, doesn't he?
al_conqueror

Here, here. I'm glad someone said it. I have this same problem with Hikaru Utada american fans as well (even tho I don't even like Utada tongue.gif)

I've known Laruku's stuff for years now. I can't say I'm a huge fan tho, I like them, but I only have so few songs (NEO UNIVERSE, Lover Boy, whatever I could find before), so until I hear a significantly bigger number of their songs, I can't call myself a big fan. =( I do love their style tho. =)

This just reminds me how I've been meaning to download more of their music lately. XP Ack, once my comp stops being stupid I'll have to go nuts. X3

I love L`Arc~En~Ciel! I have the CD SMILE :3 I love all of their songs (that I have heard so far)
Edamame
I went to a L'Arc en Ciel concert when I was abroad in Japan two years and it was a rather interesting experience. They are certainly eccentric to say the least, but I do like some of their ballads including Jojoushi. To bad they are disbanded now. I rather liked their last C.D. Awake. I bought a lot of their CDs in Japan and their earlier stuff sounds a heck of a lot happier than their latter songs.
DaisyX
I just got Smile, my first L'arc~en~ciel CD. I really like most of the songs. Revelation is my favorite...so with that in mind, can anyone recommend which other albums have more music like Revelation or that I might like? Thanks!
Artixte
I really like L'Arc~En~Ciel,I have to say my favortie song from them I've heard is called Jyoujyoushi!I just love it,but I really wish that I could buy their CDs.I tried looking, but couldn't find any in stores.Do you have to buy them from Japan?
BlackTigress
I really like their song Link. I also like Ready Steady Go and Lost Heaven, but Link is my favorite. Did they also do Rewrite, or was that someone else?
