The seven deadly sins are not actually stated in the bible (even the Catholic Bible), it was the work of the papacy in the middle ages.
Anyway, FMA feels more Dantean than it does explicity biblical--at least in my opinion.

Lust- being smothered in fire and brimestone
Gluttony- forced to eat snakes and rats

If we knew what was going to happen, there would be no suspence. a story without suspence loses depth and, thus, appreciation from fans. It becomes predictable. That makes me sad.

On the other hand(Five more fingers), if there where no suspence in FMA, My blood pressure might go down a bit... that would be a good thing in my case.

it's that guy from the hotel Winry stays at. he is minor enough of a character to suprise us, but has consistently stayed in existence even when arakawa-ushi-sensei could have taken him away and no one would have cared. Plus, he's bald. from pride's shadow, we can tell he lacks hair.

Pride did hint that he doesn't spend alot of time around humans, though. of course, i've only seen him helping winry. I bet he is only popping up for her. I never see him doing anything else.

He also acted suprised when Al fell apart, but he could have been just acting, as to get on winry's good side.

many detective manga such as "Detective Conan" and "Kindaichi", the authors draw the suspected cultpit with a blad head or sth like that so that we, the readers, can't guess who the cultpit is by the outline of the person...

I dont think it was the bible, I've got a feeling it was "dante's inferno", anyway it told of how the 7 deadly sins are punished in hell, so far the deaths of Lust and greed have matched with the punishments in the book (boiled and burnt).
