What the?! You forgot survival horror! How dare you?! *pow*
So, yeah, survival horror (game like Silent Hill, for example) is a favorite. I also love rhythm (Dance Dance Revolution, Elite Beat Agents) and roleplaying games. <3 I love simulation games as well, although I haven't played them a lot lately.

I like fantasy and adventure role-play. Anything that lets me use magic and/or old-world weapons.
First-person shooters are my favourite when it comes to taking a spectator's role. They're okay for playing too, if they come with a good story-line. But I'm generally not very good at them...

I“m about the same as you, Menelvir. I prefer the most RPG games, specially the ones that have a great plot, wonderful characters and a good soundtrack. The only other kinds of game that I enjoy are platforms and adventure, since I suck in the other categories (except for some games now and then).

Mostly, I'm into RPGs. Games like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, that sort of thing :]
Adventure games and platformers rank well up there too. Okami = Love.
Actually, shooters aren't too bad either... but RPGs all the way.

Roleplaying/Fantasy takes the cake for me, really. I love adventure, battling different (and huge) creatures. And leveling up and choosing classes is really awesome when different classes integrate well into the game.
I love only certain games in racing (ie. the NFS series)
The only adventure games I really love would be the LoZ Series

I voted role playing for this poll. I love to curl up on the couch and just get lost in another world for hours.
What did everyone think of Dirge of Cerberus? It had the whole shooter and Final Fantasy 7 thing going. I bought the manual for it and the game, but didn't get very far because it just plays so much differently than FF7 did. I guess I had my heart set on a sequel.

Pretty much anything. As long as it entertains me, I dont care what category it falls into. I do have a passion for Mario Karts and Final Fantasy though.

RPGs are my favorite. I have a ridiculously huge video game library spanning all systems from Atari to Xbox 360 (except PS3, I don't want one), and about 75% of those are RPGs. Ahhhh, the hours spent leveling up and getting money for better equipment so I can level up some more....then pwn the final boss with my uberness!

Any game that's got a good free-roam in it. Like Assassin's Creed and Grant Theft Auto. If I can be an idiot and run around the city driving down the sidewalk or hopping along on roofs, I'm a happy little camper!
Any RPG or Adventure game suits me just fine.

RPG/Adventure/Action/Strategy/Simulation/Misc. I'm not really picky about games, I'll play most of them if I have the time. I bought my Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility 2 months ago and still haven't touched it because I have no time-GAH! I wanna play it, but I have other things that need to be done

Ahaha, I can see my tastes have widened over a couple months ^^

I do mostly mostly play RPGs, but I would honestly say that I prefer JRPGs (Final Fantasy, SMT, Star Ocean...etc) over WRPGs (Fallout, Fable, Elder Scrolls).
On the other hand, I'm a fan of all genres (yes even sports games, but I'm kinda picky - I prefer tennis, golf, soccer, and skateboarding/snowboarding games - though I make an exception for MLB The Show) so the libraries for all of my systems have a variety of games to choose from.

Adventures (mainly with fantasy, but really, it can be about anything if the story is just good!)
Platforming is also one of my favourite genres.. FPS and action just recently grew up on me. 83
Oh, and good old RPG is also on my list. Seems like I like pretty much everything. Sports is a big no-no though.
..I voted for Adventure, anyway. XD

Hm. Well I've always been a huge fan of RPGs, Fighters, and FPS's. But I think I'd have to say that Action/Adventure games are my favorites. Especially if they're really wide-ranged sort of sandbox games. They're usually so free and beautiful
