I don't want to see Hughes in the movie unless it's part of "flash-back" scenes. I guess I'll wait for it to come out and find out what his role is before I even look at the movie and taint my eyes

I'd been looking at LJ not too long ago and saw this earlier. Here's what I think:

I don't like that pic of Al and Winry. Al looks adorable, but it makes me think something's going to be going on with those two. She's 18 and he's 12. I love both characters, just not together.

Roy and Riza are looking okay for the moment, but they don't look like they've progressed all that much.

Good to see Hughes, but that Nazi talk in the thread has me on edge a little. History Schmistory. You never know until you know with this movie.

PuhLEASE don't let there be any EdRose, but from the looks of things...

I hope we see the alters for ALL of the characters in the movie. Well, we've got a little under two months now before we can get some spoilers.

I don't know, but I think it's possible that the Hughes in the 3rd pic might be the Hughes in OUR world.
He don't really look like the Hughes I'm used to. He's........well..........I don't know..........
And I think that's also possible that the Rose in the 6th pic might be the Rose in OUR world.
But well, that's just my own guess

the lady in the poofy outfit in the first picture isn't alter!riza, right? i'm kind of hoping alter!riza will be more feminine, with the hair down and everything (if she's shown at all in the movie), showing the sides of herself that amestris!riza usually hides.

We don't know that it has only been 2 years on the "art" side, we only know for sure it is on "our" side.

Upon closer inspection, that Gypsy girl doesn't really look all that much like Rose so she may NOT be her alter. A lot of people in the thread were thinking what I was thinking about that. I hope we're right. We won't know until we know though.

And that blonde doesn't look like alter Riza quite so much now.

The girl in the blond.. perhaps Riza is her alter but she dosen't excatly look like her.

Hmm you know Al dresses up like Ed but you can tell he's not Ed in the third pic.

It looks like Alter!Riza is named... "Detrine Ekhart", and Alter!Rose is "Noa".

On another note; Didja see that Dragon by Ed? We're gonna be having Trogdor!Envy in the movie. Yussssssss!

I don't think that gypsy girl is alter Rose, nor the "Riza". I mean, look at alter Hughes, Al and Gracia, they look almost EXACTLY the same as the alchemy world

At least, I hope that woman isn't Riza. *shudders*

They probably changed Rose’s appearance (i.e. eyes and the pink hair) because Ishabal and Lior don’t really exist as races in our world. Obviously Loir has become Gypsies, and maybe Ishbalites have too. In order to accommodate this, the characters from these races will now have to look like they come from our world’s equivalents. Because of this the red eyes of the Ishbal people are probably brown, and all other colorations not found naturally in our world would be changed. I’ve also always assumed Rose dyed her hair pink, since only the front part isn’t brown…

I’m more concerned with the possibility of Al/Winry in the movie. As much as I love both of them as characters, I don’t really like them together. Especially now that AL is 12 and Winry is 18. That’s one heck of an age difference if you ask me! Maybe is the age-gap was a little bit smaller I'd consider it, or if Al was a bit older (since really, six years is not that big of a deal, my parents are seven years apart) but I just can't see a 12-year-old and an 18-year-old working out together romanticly.

I always assumed she dyed it as well. It's not the eye color or hair color change that make me think the gypsy doesn't look like Rose. The eye shape looks somewhat off. They aren't as large as Rose's. It's a flatter curve for the top of the eye.

And you hit the nail on the head with AlWinry. My parents are 6 years apart so it's not that I'm that bothered by it. It's just that when you're as young as they are, it makes more of a difference. If Al were 20 and Winry were 26, I wouldn't have any problem at all(only for age though because I'll always prefer to see it as EdWin). I sort of got the thinking though and it may be possibe that through Al trying so hard to be like Ed his romantic feelings could be affected as well. And because he seems so much like Ed, Winry can't help herself. Maybe through that moment it will be revealed that it's really Ed she wants? That could explain the AlWin because this seems out of the blue for me.

Erm how is that pic an indication of any x+x? It looks like an given to the magazine so they use it for one of their pages does it really matter anyway if we speculate who knows what'll happen really but what I do know is I need to see this!

In the pic of Al and Winry, what's with the look on Winry's face? I'm just curious cuz he looks happy (ya know, he's smiling. BTW, He looks just soo good! Handsome!) and she looks...I don't know, unhappy. Any thoughts?

Al is supposedly going to have a love scene in the movie. Who else could he have it with but her? Seeing them together in that pic just brings about the speculation that it may just be Winry.

Wow this all looks great, its good to know Hughes is in the movie. And whats with Al and Winry? Not sure if thats Rose or not in the pic, it kinda looks like her, but then again there are things that dont look like her. I hope thats not alter Riza either. And god, whats with all the Ed/Rose hate? I think they make a cute couple.

Well, the Al and Winry picture...I don't think something is going on between them...I mean Al is 12 years and Winry 17 or 18 years old
But just because two person are in the same picture it doesn't have to mean that they are a couple But something's maybe going on between Roy and Riza

Roy and Riza look wonderful as usual.
Al is 13 according to the movies webpage, and I don't think 5-6 years of age difference is such a big deal. ==; , though I like EdWin slightly more than AlWin.

When you're that young, it's much more of a big deal than when you're 20 and with a 25 or 26 year old. The level of maturity is just so different at those stages. I'm 20 now and if I were lusting after some 14-15 year old, I'd be concerned with myself (but even 14-15 is better than 12-13). I guess it's down to 5 weeks until we all know for sure what they're going to do. Alls I know is Winry is none too happy that Al has gone off defying her wishes.

This is the last time I will say this to calm everyone down. In scans like that, it never actually happens in the anime. They just put two random pictures together to convey a meaning. There is not going to be alxwin because they are apart for most of the movie, al goes off with Roy I think, and Winry, Rose and Wrath get involved in something else.

In that japanese near that picture which i can read some of, the reason why Winry is upset is because Al is going of to journey again, just like his stupid brother. Basically she is watching Al make the same mistakes Ed did, and she can't do anything about it because Al has lost all his memories. There will be no alxwin in the movie, not because I am a hater, but because the japanese aren't that ridiculous they would pair a 18 year old girl with a 12 year old boy, when FMA isn't even a romance. They are probably trying to avoid romance (but you just can't help it sometimes) and they would have more plausible pairings... that's my say.

Oh and about this whole edxrose thing. NO. From what we know so far, that girl called NOA is not ALTER ROSE! I repeat NOT! She is a totally different character, and Ed is merely probably going to help her escape from the wrath of the Thule society, because they are after her (she can apparently use magic, Thule members would want that) If there is any romance or chemistry between them, it will only be hints, and it will depend on the viewer's oppinion as to what their feelings toward eachother are

So calm down everyone, it's okay! If the movie comes out and all this bad stuff happens, then we can bash it.

From pictures I have seen, the whole Hughes familly may be in it. There is definately an Alter Maes, and from info it tells that he likes to hang about with the lodging houselady, which looks like Gracia hughes.
