Yep, it was based off a graphic novel. The Drama CD pretty much explains the goings-on between Iason and Riki's first Master-Pet training and a little about two characters you only see a couple of shots of in the OAV. Mimemia and Daryl. I posted a link to a site a while ago where the drama CD + online translation was available. But I irredicated that link due to hentai content. ;; I can always PM the link to anyone interested though. XD Just say the word and I'll get back to you all as soon as possible.

Iason and Riki's relaltionship really did remind me of a Lucius/James fic I read a couple of years ago. I think it was at astronomy tower and had a name similar to "The Finest Gold"
The whole theme of some sort of humiliating (forced) relationship somehow turning into one of actual affection is the similar thread between the two. It's rather like stockholm syndrome isn't it?

I found out yesterday that there is going to be a second series of KKM starting in April! And apparently all the previous characters (the main ones) are in it, so my dumb negative speculations were wrong! See Kase, you don't have to be afraid of bying the DVDs now, or avoiding the KKM thread!
Also I watched ep 29 yesterday and I felt good laughing again.. *sighs happily*. It wasn't so doomed after all..

What exactly is shounen-ai?

Definition of "Yaoi" and "Shonen-Ai"

"Yaoi" refers to guy x guy relationships of a sexual nature. Characters in yaoi settings need not have any interest in each other beyond that.

"Shonen-ai" (literally boy love) refers to an interest between two male characters of a romantic, spiritual, physical and/or sexual nature. So basically, if the characters involved are only having a sexual relationship, it's yaoi. If they love each other and don't have a sexual relationship, it's shonen-ai. If they love each other and have a sexual relationship, then, it's shonen-ai with yaoi in it (I guess). Hope that didn't confuse you more...

Well, shounen-ai actually mean two boys having a relationship, and yaoi is men. That's the japanese definition.

I guess the misconception came from the fact that most anime/manga involving anything physical between two males is usually labelled yaoi rather than shonen-ai.

Uh to the yaoi shonen-ai discussion.. I don't know.. I still think of yaoi as more explicit regardless of who's in it.. I belive that that's how it was.... but I can't say that I'm an expert or anything... All the definitions I've encountered have been that yaoi is more intimate(to put it blunty)
I don't know.. maybe usually relationships between men are more explicit that relationships between boys.

Just thought her to be a bit... annoying at times. But then she started to act all cool and I couldn't help it. I fell for her mad bombing charms.

Shonen & Shoujo: Hehe, I thought One Piece was mostly shonen-ai-less because of the character designs. ;; So bad of me to say it, but it's true. Yes, friendshipp is an important factor in shonen series, which fangirls usually interpret as love between two people. Or like to imagine. Oh, shoujo series would rank #2 in the gayness factor thingy, since boys are usually very scarce in those series. But then you almost always have the local gay guy featuring as a side-character. (Aburatsubo from Magic Users Club, Zoisite from Sailor Moon, Nuriko/Hotohori(bi) from Fushigi Yuugi, Satoshi from DNAngel etc) Of course, they never get their man. PSssh.

Ai no Kusabi: Well, men dominating the earth wouldn't be all that bad in my opinion. XDDD Hmm, yes, but remember that Blondies are manufactured. [spoiler]Yes, the love between them. I kept waiting for Riki to finally give in, since I knew he was feeling at least *something* for the Blondie. His pride just wouldn't let him admit it until the end. Not too late, but... it could've been said sooner. ;__;

I think Iason didn't know at first and only focused on making Riki his at the beginning. 0__0 The end gave me the impression Riki and Iason already had a steady relationship going then, but never really admitted it to one another. As in, they knew they shared a love between them but never said the words? Anyway, at the very end when Riki pleaded Iason to save Guy, Iason seemed betrayed. So sad, that look of his. So, I'm of the opinion, they loved each other, but never expressed it in words. ^___^

About Guy... Well, Riki and him did have a history of Pairing Partners. I think there was some kind of chemistry between them, which Guy interpreted as love... But Riki... Well, they seemed to consider each other more than just friends. It hurt Riki to admit what he had done during the time he had spent at Eos. And Guy's alienation of him afterwards. T~T[/spoiler] There are a lot of people who don't like and hate Kilie. I can't blame him for doing what he did either. It's just the way he did things... Kinda cool for someone like him. But still... Norris got shot in the back and got revived afterwards to suffer in prison!! Luke x Norris is my second fave pairing. [spoiler]No, I was too focused on the goings on to really pay attention to the awful foreshadowing. OK, once Guy went ahead and see to his little plan at getting Riki back from Iason I had this feeling something might happen that wouldn't be pretty. But for some reason I thought Guy would be the one to kick the bucket, not Iason and Riki...

I feel sad for Guy though, living with the consequences of his actions like that. -__-[/spoiler] Yes, poor Riki. Just goes to show how much Guy really clung tothe edge of insanity in my opinion. XP I wanted to say, just goes to show how much he would go through for Riki's freedom, but it wasn't all that painful for Guy now was it?

Yeah, Katze and Raoul. A few reasons for thispairing would be, Raoul and Katz both share a deep affection for Iason - who doesn't. Except for Guy and Kilie. So now that Iason's gone they hit it off. Yes, once your man dies you 'cheat' on him with the one who loved him too.

Then you've got the 'Pair off the last available guys with each other' thang. [spoiler]Kinda like Putting Zechs with Wufei because of Treize's demise. Yeah.[/spoiler] I like Katz better with Daryl though. Daryl's such a submissive person and I just can't see Katze as a uke as many people portray him when in a relationship with Raoul.
