I suppose I could agree! Although my ultimate favourites don't happen to be those... almost all that I've/read seen are at the top... and I have yet to see/read shonen-ai/yaoi manga/anime that I wouldn't like.

He's my only favourite (seme) character that I want to see uke. I somehow grew to adore him despite his annoying jerk attitude.. but he has it, so that's it.

Oh yes, I'm open-minded about many, but still there are a couple of pairings I just don't like (OrphenxMajik) and others just generally squick me out (YamixKaiba ). I won't stoop so low as to flame the fans of those pairings for their preferences though. ^^

Yes, Heero. I guess some people consider him a bad guy... But good guy nonetheless. *shrug* Actually the Gundam Pilots should all be considered bad guys because they go against Oz... but then Oz should also be considered bad guys because they're at War with the Colonies... Gundam Wing's just one of those series where you really need to pay attention to get the gist of things. Kids might not get what's going on at all. ;; One of the reasons I love this series. It really makes you think despite the pretty boy fanservice. XD

Um, well everybody on te Net says the series isn't that good. But like I always say, people aren't you. I've seen many bad recs of Master of Mosquiton but I love it myself. ^^v In any case, the OAV of Candidate for Goddess is kinda... tiny. It explains what Goddess and their pilots are all about, but it focuses mainly on Ernest and Garaeas' relationship. Which isn't all that bad, actually. Just... when you think it really begins, it's already over. T__T And Ernest...

But I'd advice you to first download the OAV and see if you like what's going on in there, before you think about buying the series.

Orphen and Majik are characters from a magical shoujo/shonen series called Sorecrous Stabber Orphen. Maybe you've heard of it? *__* It's one of my favorite anime to date: sorcerors, dragons, magic and super-awesome characters - what more do you want? It's one of the anime I've actually completed, I got every DVD avilable of the first series. XD Now I'm waiting for the chance to get my hands on the second series as well~

Well, that's the thing about Gundam Wing. It isn't all about the different Wars that's going on between the Colonies and the Earth. It also focuses on relationships between characters, most not romantic in the least. Guess you're better off calling it comeraderie then. ^^ What? You see yourself as a "kid" because you don't understand? Believe me, I don't think there's anyone who would fully understand Gundam Wing after watching it the first time ever. Not even the ones who are so called experts when it comes to such anime. It took me some time as well... that and the OAV sheds more light about the entire Gundam mission. My advice would be (if you're intent on fully understanding the goings-on about GW) to see the OAV right after the series.

The plot... well, the plot was actually of a romantic nature. Hard to swallow maybe, but it's true! It was all about this 'love triangle' - better to say 'Tug-of-War' between Iason, Riki and Guy... which eventually led to a terrible loss. T__T I cried as well after I came over the initial shock at the end... I never would have suspected it to end that way... Yes, I'm glad the emotions were there at the end too. This whole movie has been marked down as my favorite yaoi anime ever because of that. Not even FAKE comes close to it.

Kilie's intentions were basically getting higher up in the social standards. Since he was a Mongrel, he wanted a better life. And what better way then to influence a Blondie to aquire such a position?

[spoiler]I was talking about that scene whee Kilie betrayed Bison (that group of Mongrels where Riki's the leader of?). When Riki attempts to help out his friends, Kilie is there to restrain him... XD That scrawny little boy, holding Riki back just like that! It made me realize Kilie could be capable of seme-ing over Riki...[/spoiler]

Um, let's see... (This is going to be one heck of a post, if it isn't one already ^^;;) First of all: social standards. You've got the Blondies who are the big shots on the entire planet. They can do anything they want, when they want and how they want it. (Take it whatever way you want there XD)

The Pets are people who get trained to be a Blondie's slave. Although they are slaves, they still have it better than most people, since the Blondies take care of their every needs.

Furniture are the people who work for the Blondies and keep the Pets in line. They generally take care of the Pets and their Masters (Blondies) wishes. Furniture are usually Mongrels, picked up from the Slums to work as a Furniture. They get castrated... >_>

Then you've got the Mongrels, which are the lowest of the low. They live in the Slums and just see how they survive in the world. The Blondies don't [want to] have anything to do with them and vice versa. Well, Mongrels would of course do anything to get higher up in the ranks, unless you're as stubborn and prideful as Riki.

Now then... it's easy to see the differences between Pets, Blondies and Mongrels. Mongrels have dark hair (black, brown, auburn etc.), Pets usually have the colors in between (red, green, blue, purple etc.) and then you've got the Blondies (blond, silver, platinum etc.)

As for who's what:
- Katze was a Furniture, but Iason got rid of him when Katze tried to hack into the System.
- Riki is a Mongrel turned Pet.
- Raoul is a Blondie.
- Iason is a Blondie.
- Daryl is Iason's current Furniture (you only saw a shot of his head - blue background, skin, eyes and hair)
- Kilie got sold to a Mongrel as a Pet I guess. >_>
- Guy is a Mongrel.
- Bison in general is a Mongrel group.
- Jupiter is the Mother of all Blondies.

Um, you can always press on the pause button during the explanations at the beginning of the OAV. ;; They explain far better than me and you'd understand better I think. Also, I could give you more sites to better understand it if you're interested. ^^

I guess nobody could get away with dying their hair because all Blondies are manufactured and start out their life in Eos (I think that city was called Eos in any case). Also, I don't think Kilie wanted to be a Pet.

About who's loving who:

[spoiler]Riki did love Guy to a certain extent. They were a couple afterall, but I think Guy thought it went much deeper than what Riki thought it to be. @.@ As for Iason... it's obvious he really fell in love with him in the end. When he found out what Iason had done to Guy, he was shocked and said they couldn't leave Guy behind. Iason asked then if Guy meant that much to Riki. Remember Riki saying it wasn't like that and that he and Iason were repsonsible for what happened. That they were the ones that had led Guy to act the way he did. ^^ And Riki did come back to Iason in the end. They did love each other - truly love, I mean. And poor Guy...

He survived and bore the pain of his love's loss. T__T Like Katze, but I think his pain is much deeper, since he was the one who actually 'killed' both Riki and Iason in the end.[/spoiler]

But when he and Katze went out to find Guy and Iason you noticed he was walking with a limp? ;; At some point he's almost in too much pain to go on and almost gets caught under that piece of.. wall/roof/block/pillar thing if it wasn't for Iason's heroic act at the last minute. Nothing to be ashamed of, I always root for my own faves as well. Maybe that's why I always try to fave the main character - he/she gets most screen time obviously. Hmm, well usually Katze gets paired with Raoul, Iason (but then he'd be the uke ) or Daryl (which he can only 'dominate' with behavior, I guess ).

Converting it into .gif doesn't seem to work... I got the image transparent in the program, but when I save it, it's no longer transparent. It just seems as though it's faded...

yeah, it's suprising how high the gayness factor in a shonen series can be.
Guess it also has something to do with the lack of proper female characters. (And the great bonds between the male characters) etc... I don't know why my brother has' realised that.. Okay he has...maybe that's why he's not a great anime fan? One Piece is one of the only few that has a very low gayness factor (jeez I'm using this like an everyday term) it has very few relationship possibilities too.. *sighs*.. but it's that kind of series. The only one my brother was able to comment "this at least hasn't got any gays" (Although then I made up a few..)
Also shoujo serieses have great gayness factor.. That's pretty much everything. So shonen-ai fans have it good.

[spoiler] Hmm.. that's what I liked about te ending. That Riki seemed to really love Iason (he died with him.. that says a lot). Otherwise during the OVA it seemed like he hated him for what he did. It was kind of sad.. although it didn't seem to bother Iason... myabe he knew Riki's feelings?
I always thought that Riki considered Guy as just a friend.. but you can't always tell about those...[/spoiler]

yeah.. I don't really like Kilie. You can tell? he was kind of an annoying punk.. But I can't really blame him for wanting to climb higher. I think the whole society stinks.

I was really, really hoping that maybe maybe it might have a happy ending, but I knew that it was no use. Still I was satisfied enough. It didn't leave me such a bad feeling...
