I hear a thing or two about the Daily Show/Colbert Report fandom on Fanficrants now and then. Just the idea of the real-person fandom squicks me enough, but the things that the fanpeople apparently do and write just make me cringe.

Quite personally, I have a problem with slash written about real people. I think slash should be restricted to fictionl characters - whether from movies, shows, books, whatever, animated or live action. I just don't think it's right to be using real people in stories like that, without their permission. Heck, I just have one huge thing against fiction involving real people anyways (unless it's like based off a true story and research is done and yaddayadda) It rises up a huge moral issue, really.

I mean, it's one thing to write about...say...JackxWill from PotC. It's a whole other thing to be writing about Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom being a couple. These are real people, with real feelings who are going to have real reactions to what you've written, if they ever see it.

And I do hope neither Jon or Stephen ever see the fanfiction written about them....or their wives...or children.

Yay! Finally! The perfect thread for me!! Ugh, who would want to write slash fics of two real people in the first place? Slash fics should really stick to fictional characters....

I'm with the general notion of any fanfiction of real people being creepy. Unless it's a retelling of a true event with research, like Fushi said.

I've seen epic slash sagas about athletes in some of the general fanfic communities I frequent. Celebrity smut too. I doubt any bands can get by without having some sort of creepy porn written about them, paired either with each other, or some hollow 'original character', usually a groupie of some sorts, only she's way better than all the other girls!

Though I haven't seen it (thank god) I have heard tell that there is mpreg slash about hockey players.


Though nothing beats that Anne Frank x Goku romance fic, complete with Super Saiyan Hitler as the antagonist.

Btw, here's a personal rant of mine: one night, me and a friend - both of us Care Bear crazy - decide to look up Care Bear fanfiction on ff.net, because Care Bear fanfiction happens to be the most @#$%ed up, crack fanfiction out there. We didn't read any of them, only laughed (or complained XP) at the summaries and skimmed one or two.
One thing we found constistant was there were alot of GrumpyxSwiftheart fics.
Each of them calling swiftheart a girl.
WTF, Swiftheart is NOT a girl! O_o We even looked it up on wiki to be sure and he IS a boy! For god sakes if you want to write Care Bears yaoi that's okay, JUST DON'T GO CHANGE A CHARACTER'S GENDER TO TRY AND 'JUSTIFY' YOURSELF! >:

Haha, I actually don't have any ToS stuff at all. 8D; I actually have bad luck finding pictures of any pairing. I remember when I was into Jounouchi x Kaiba from Yuugiou, it was sometimes really difficult to find anything good. =/ So I had actually never bothered looking for ToS stuff before because of my bad luck. XD (and partially because of my laziness XDD)

Hey, how do we know if, let's say Roy never had a homo thought or two? He never comes out and says "I'M NOT GAY!" He just displays a love of mini-skirts and chicks. That doesn't always translate to not-gay. He can easily be bisexual and like women more.
In fact, I believe the only line out of Roy (in the anime) that can support him not being bi/gay is "What good is admiration from other men."
But it's also possible he could just be using his skirt chasing antics to cover up his homosexuality. Most militaries aren't very fond of homosexuals ya know, so the fact that he is one may ruin his military dreams. It says in the manga that he uses the skirt chasing to draw attention away from his real objectives right? So why can't he also be using it to cover up his sexual orientation? (many gay men in real life do the EXACT same thing, they even go so far as getting married to women and have children. Just go ask my aunt; her previous husband turned out to be gay. O_o)

I'm only using Roy as an example, cause he's a very easy one to use (at least I find). Really, a writer can dig up anything from the series to use as evidence or justification for the pairing they wrote about.
And with conditions like the ones for Roy above, this makes some pairings more interesting and more of a challenge to write. (and I dunno about you, but I love challenges. Nothing cures writer's block better)

Oh, me, over here! It actually took me a while to get into Loveless, because of the drastic age difference, but it finally one me over. I just read Volume 6 not too long ago. DRAMA!
I'm actually working on cell type art of Zero. I'll give you a glimpse. I'm not done with any of the shading or highlighting, ( I haven't started it yet) and I might change some of the colors around, but it's turning out okay.

The only thing I can think of is joining Livejournal. They have a couple of groups called Dirty Girl Social Club and Yaoi Share. All of their scans are online, but they are divided up into smaller posts. These clubs are mostly friend locked, so you have to join the group to see the scans. I'll pm you if you want a crash course in Livejournal. That's really all I can think of for online reads.
I have a problem finding good pics of them too. But *giggle* I'd be more than happy to send you the HiroxShuichi Remix. Now the remixes are yaoi dj's, they're really graphic, but it is Hiro and Shuichi boinking. I also have one with K x Yuji(hiro's brother) x Hiro x Shuichi. Now that one is freaking incredible!
