I agree Loveless is such a sweet anime. I'm reading the manga now ^^ I had hoped for a little more action though, like the kissing scene in my sig. That is just too cute! I love Soubi, he's just so mysterious. And I always like bishies with long hair, don't know why.

Loveless-wise, I really dislike Soubi X Ritsuka, actually, I just can't stand Soubi. First time I'm rejecting a yaoi pairing for a het one (or maybe I just really dislike canon...).

Ponderosa's art is gorgeous, indeed. Especially her Envy/Greed and Greed/Kimblee pics. XP

And these EnEd pics are from...'Shiny Drop', right? I like the art style even though I find Envy and Ed a tiny bit too skiny, so it's not the best in my opinion; Tsuina remains my favourite (even though this is always the cliché 'Envy randomly enters into Ed's apartment/hospital room and rapes him good' plot, with a side of Elricest).

I actually feel kinda sorry for him. If it's because he seems so emotionless: I think that is because they made him that way. They taught him to feel no pain, so I think they taught him to turn out his emotions, too. Even the physically strongest man on earth can be totally taken down by his emotions. And I loved that moment when Kio told Ritsuka bout how Soubi was before he met him. It's so sad. Soubi really cares for Ritsuka. At least that's how I think about him.

@Galor: Oh, I didn't get to see all the episodes yet. I'm at episode 5 actually, so I guess I don't really know much about Soubi yet. About why I can't stand him, well, maybe I went a bit far. I just slightly dislike him and he doesn't really catch my interest. Guess it's all about his attitude indeed...ah yes, and his way of saying unexpected things sometimes; it surprises me in an annoying way (like his 'I love you's', for example). So for the moment, I just fail to see the deepness in him.

And this doujin is indeed my favourite; It's called 'EER', as you can see, and 'Tsuina' is my fav doujin maker. But I don't have much doujins yet, and I feel like a gorgeous-looking Elricest Hei X Ed doujin that I saw on ebay could easily win the first place, but I couldn't buy it, unfortunatly. So here is the ebay page, for those who are curious.

I've heard there will be a second season for Loveless, but I'm not sure if that's true. I hope so though.

My mom doesn't allow me to buy anything from the internet, and to be honest, I don't really trust e-bay myself. And if I'd order something anyway, it better not be a yaoi doujinshi. She'll first get freaked out because I ordered something, and after that, she'll get freaked out because of what I ordered XD

I don't like Elricest, but I like EdxHei. I once read somewhere that Linus was a great Elricest doujinshi, with a good plot and great art and stuff. So I thought I should give it a try. The first thing I didn't like was that it was with Armor Al: I though it was really disgusting. And I didn't like the plot either. After that, I never tried it anymore. Just give me EdxRoy and I'm happy

It's not a surprise at all. Most lesbian erotica is created for straight men rather than genuine lesbians.

So then by the lighter note of romance and light erotica, we have yaoi and shonen ai, made by women for women. Many shonen ai authors even deliberately express that there is a difference between shonen ai and gay manga.

It makes sense that shonen ai is a girl's fantasy, rather than intentionally realisically homosexual. In the same way that romantic comedies are a fantasy, rather than playing out the way real romances do; boring and uneventful.

Loveless made me think... alot >.< But I'll admit, it's one of my favorites. I'm still kind of new to shounen-ai, but I'm learning to love it

FMAgurl, I actually don't think there is a continuation of Loveless. I don't think there is one that exists right now, but I've heard rumors. I thought the ending was good, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made a sequel.

I hope there will be a continuation. The ending didn't leave any questions, but I want to know about Ritsuka's future now. I can't stand open endings They'd have to think about a good plot though.

I've just seen the last episode of Gakuen Heaven. I think it was a fun anime ^^ But it didn't have any depths like Loveless has. I want to see more good shounen-ai anime. Anyone knows any good ones beside Loveless?

I think that as far as "deepness" goes, Loveless is the only one that I know of. There was another anime that I've only watched once, but I can't exactly recall the name. I think it was...Sukishyo, or something to that effect.

I also really enjoy Decendents of Darkness, but it has very little shounen-ai. It's more action/adventure, really.

But anyway, I'll go look up some other animes. I'm into plot-less things, so I'm probably not a good person to ask. I'll find something though.

Galor, The artwork of Yami no Matsuei is awesome, one of my favs. style wise. I think there are six volumes of Loveless. If I'm not mistaken, only three have been released in english so far.

As for Level-C......O.O I haven't seen the anime, but I have read the manga. And boy oh boy......risque. I don't think they blured out anything in the manga, I think they showed absolutely everything. It was by far the smutty-est thing I have ever read. XD I didn't even understand the plot. It was just two guys having sex many many times. I was very close to dying from a massive nose bleed in the middle of my calculus class.

I enjoy the stories of the soft shounen-ais, but I don't think there's ever enough action. Which makes me sad. Very much so. I think that my friend owns Level-C, I shall ask her if I can borrow it. I think what I enjoy most are doujinshis, of any anime/manga. Their usually more exciting than the actual series!

Yeah, I went to barnes and noble trying to find a good yaoi manga, but there wasn't really anything! Does anyone know any good ones? I already know about Gravitation, Loveless, Legal Drug (I just bought it!), and.....I think that's it......

I have heard that Legal Drug isn't really Shounen-Ai, just slashable. I get most of my shounen-ai from the Aarinfantasy forums, so I don't really know where to get it in real life....

But I do agree, Yami no Matsuei was a great series. Another one that I am currently enjoying is Mirage of Blaze. I have yet to see any real BL in it, but I can't get passed the tenth episode, because I can't find any good subbed ones (the ones I have are raw). However, I am assured by friends that it is shounen-ai.
