The brief history of finding this place: i accidentally fell in love with the Petshop of Horrors, and looked for it, realised it was licenced, nearly cried... looked more,found this site:) and i came over a line where it had been labeled shonen-ai. Could anyone tell me why please?

Hm. I started out with fanfiction. A lot of my friends lured me into the addicting world of YuGiOh slash. I'm still not "Hardcore". If anything, most yaoi fangirls annoy the flipping heck out of me.

The Passion By Lykomancer. PG is what she rated it, although I'd say that's a tad underrated.

Between Pluto and God, Chapter 1-Stands wonderfully on it's own as a genfic, and stays interesting through seven chapters. The Envy/Ed parts struck me as a bit hackneyed though. (Not rated... PG-13, I guess?)

I have to agree. Shota isn't for me. Innocent young boys...I'm not that perverted.

Let me clear my thoughts. I don't like shota perse in a sexualizing manner; Ie anorexic 8 year old looking Ed in yaoi doujin. Anshi's picture was rather cute, but it seemed like it was pushing it, what with the little jailbait track shorts and all. I'm not against hand-holding and all that good stuff, for example, say, Fletcher and Alphonse. I find that pair to be cute in the same way I find Yahiko and Tsubame (Boy and girl of about that age) from Rurouni Kenshin to be cute. I enjoy the concept of them holding hands, giving flowers, first kiss, and projections of them growing up, getting married and having a litter of little Yahikos and Tsubames. And while that wouldn't be all that accomplishable with Fletch and Al... well, you get the idea. </more pointlessness>

And yeah, the Ed pic- Hmmm. Rainy's right; he needs muscle there. He looks all soft and... pushy. But it's a beautifully drawn picture!

On Scar/Al (Yes, I'm going to be writing too much. Don'cha just love my rantings? ) I suppose I can see the squick going on, as Alphonse is tres innocent, and consequently, the idea of him being in a relationship with anyone might come off as conceptually perverted. There is the age difference thing, for which I have seen far worse canon pairings, and far *far* worse fandom pairings. (Like... I don't even want to talk about it. *Sniff* Creepy fandom...) It seems most people have no gripes about Roy/Ed, which is a greater age difference than Scar/Al (Assuming we can tell Scar's approximate age. I can't see him as older than 24, considering he was pretty young when he got 'the arm') Roy/Ed is 16-30, which makes a 14 year difference, and Scar and Al, are 15-22 (That's how I assume it anyway) which is half that much; 7 years. Furthermore, albiet cute and innocent as he is, Al strikes me as someone with more natural maturity and wisdom than his older brother. He also seems to have had crushes on far older women (Clara, Martel... does Winry count?), and I don't doubt that he would seek a relationship with someone older by which to let himself grow/be guided.
Plus, Scar and Al can't have much more than warm fuzzy emotional connections to each other, unless someone has found out a way by which posessed suits of armor can copulate, and if they have, I really don't want to hear about it.

And that is what I think about Scar and Alphonse together. Feel free to yell at me, hate me, or throw rocks at me now.

As for Al and Scar, I guess I always picture the young Al whenever I see AlxScar. Maybe if I picture the teen Al, I can see it better.

it's called that because a lot of people like shonen-ai so someone made a topic and they talk/post pics/fanfic that involve shonen-ai/yaoi which mean: Shōnen-ai (少年愛 from 少年 shōnen young man + 愛 ai love) refers to anime or manga that deals with love between young men, especially of the bishōnen variety. In its infancy, the genre originally dealt with very strong but non-sexual relationships between young men. Nowadays, it has come to refer to romantic male-male relationships.
