^^ Final Fantasy X2

I should smite you where you stand. X-2 was a total discrace to the name final fantasy. dry.gif
IT WAS GODAWFUL mad.gif
The story line just sucked and there was no real point in makeing a sequal to FFX(which was a totally great game besides FFVII). The ending you got at the end of FFX was one of the best. There was no need to "sugar-coat it" via X-2 and cont. the story.

Hehe you get mad they like FFX2 the best then go and say FFVII's one of the greatest when it's overrated by one billion too many people. I wish it had been half as good as FFVI =P
Alchemist-Mage
I'm sorry, but I gotta say VII. Squall has some serious style, you've gotta admit that much.
Asakura Yoh
I like 7 since it has a good story line and I like the plot

So did you like when Aeris died too?! O.O
Lost Mercenary
I cried when she died. *sniff* But her death was essential for the plot and character developments. Especially Cloud.

You see later in Advent Children how much he blames himslef for her death. So sad...
Smoke Alchemist
Her death was unnecessaary and so was her character, but that is just my opinion. He seemed more closer to Tifa or am I just remembering it differently? O.o

I've seen people do this one million too many times...Squall's on FFVIII not FFVII...

lol too bad Cloud was the only one with much of any character development, and most of it was with Tifa in the lifestream

Nope you got it right ^^
Lost Mercenary
Just sounds like a Cloti fans biased opinion to me but I don't wanna start a flame war. Your opinion is your opinion. I just don't agree.

I think Aeris was one of the most important characters in 7. Without her Holy may have never been summoned (which as i write this remember was pretty useless in the first place). But evidence suggests it was Aeris' will that gathered the Lifestream to defeat Meteor.

yeah I know, I'm not referring to the ending. Tifa was with Cloud in the lifestream so he could recollect himself and sort out the confusion the mako had brought into his life. That was in disc two...
Dark Alchemist1
Even though I am a boy I like Final Fantasy 12 the best becuse you can choose from a variaty of different moves for the characters.

That's 11. 12 isn't even out yet.

I was making an observation of how important Aeris is to the story. I agree Tifa is important too. But niether is more important than the other.

2 things why I like about Final Fantasy ten 1)It was my very first FF game I ever play.2)The aeons are way cool.
Darklight
I guess i would say FFX is my favourite just beacuse of the way it's looks and how you can change your party while your fighting. But I just didn't like that fact that they sort of cut down on the summons. I know there where quite a few but if not FFX it would be FF8 no doubt.
Riza Mustang
well... i voted for FFVII even though both FFVII and FFX are great. Too bad i dont' have a PS2 so i never got around in playing the whole FFX game except at my cousins house
Lost Mercenary
X's final boss was the worst excuse for a boss ever!!!!! FFX-2 is not even worty of the title FF. All it is is frackin Charlies Angels!!!!

FFIX is my second fave. It came close to topping FFVII as my fave one.

Good! some one else that agrees with me about X-2. I dare say i shall kill anyone that thinks otherwise mad.gif
DonnaDelDrago
I started playing FFVII last week and I really like it. I can understand now why so many of you like it best. But FFIX was the first FF game I played so it will always be my favorite.
haplo
this is a hard one its eith ffV11 or ffX
will have to go with ffV11 first one that i played
Dreakon
Final Fantasy VII was the first Final Fantasy that I really played, got far in and enjoyed. It'll probably always be my favorite but other then that I have only played VIII, X and XI. At the time, I really liked X, the graphics were so crisp and it felt so new (kind of like how XII will feel when it's finally out). My favorites probably are:

1) VII
2) X
3) VIII
4) XI (damn monthly fee, keeping me from really playing it)

Haven't played many of them, but really enjoyed the ones I did. smile.gif

kenderoth
ff 10
siner
i like FF7 for 2 reasons 1) it was the first FF game i played 2) the gameplay was cool and so was cloud cool.gif
Lost Mercenary
Is anyone else skeptical about what FF XII will be like? I sure as hell am.

For starters there's no love interest (as was made known when first plot details were anounced) and the battle system is no longer turn based like it was in all the other games.

Both of these factors are essential to making a Final Fantasy a Final Fantasy, so XII is going into my don't get hopes up basket.
wolfy519
My favorite final fantasy game was probley number 7. It would of been 9 but all the damn animal people in the game kept the fun out of it dry.gif
The Sin Envy
I have to agree with you wolfy519, 9 did have to many animal people. 7 is my favorite FF game, but Squall is my favorite FF character, not Cloud, though Cloud is cool.
instantmirage
FF4 in GBA
PBalfredo
I am outraged -OUTRAGED!- that Final Fantasy I - VI is not on that list! Even as an "other" catagory. Final Fantasy did not begin at number seven.

As for my vote:

1. Final Fantasy VI
2. Chrono Trigger
3. Final Fantasy VII
Le Monkey
No Crystal Chronicals??
Wheres the love? v_v
that was a great game! ohmy.gif

I voted 7 from the list...
Souji
FFVIII (8) is my all time favorite of the FF series. Truth be told, 7 didn't intrigue me as much, neither did 10. 9 is my second favorite from the list up there^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Smoke Alchemist
lots of people love the FF 7. I chose FF 10 cause that game owned my soul for a great while LOL!
Bahamut Zero
I have to say that I have a special feeling about the final fantasy series. i'm also part of a FF online project that takes a lot of my time and energy, but i find worth the effort. My FF adventure started in 1999 with FF8, then i passed to all the other chapters nver to leave them smile.gif

Aeris will always be in my heart.
Nepharski
Final Fantasy IX. Definitely. The only smear to its name was Quina. In a perfect world. Quina would have instantly been assassinated and replaced by Auron, but what can you do?
kojirou
FFVII. Despite the primitive graphics and sounds, it's still able to hold its own against the more recent games due to its great storyline and gameplay.

Vincent Rocks!
FMA4ever
I really liked Final Fantasy 7, but the graphic's are bad. I heard that they were remaking FF7
Edamame
My favourites are FF7 and FF9. I love FF7 simply for the convoluted story-line that makes my head spin and for the incredible cast of characters. I believe that the game had one of the most in-depth and entertaining plots that made you question the characters' actions. The characters have always stuck with me for some reason. Perhaps they were much more developed than the characters in other games that I have played. Unfortunately there has been so much hype about that game and the franchise has milked it for all that it is worth.
I also loved FFIX; it was a refreshing break from the darker games like FFVII and FFVII. Although it was much more light-hearted I thought that the plot dealt with some great issues including life and death. I thought that the main character Zidan was great; he was loyal and self-sacraficing. I also loved enjoyed the Medieval-esque setting of the game.
Jaganshi
FF7.

Vincent owns my heart. <3

And yes, they are remaking the game. With new kickass graphics.

I can't wait! It's gonna be awesome! Do you know when it'll come out?

I'm not sure, but I'm kind of confused about the whole thing. Everywhere on the internet says that it's just a rumor......
.....
But I reserved a copy of it at my local gamer store.
.....
Strange.

I also heard that it's only a rumor. I think this 'rumor' was spawned by the release of a demo video from Square-Enix, showing the intro video of FF7, if it was made for PS3. (FF7 Technical Demo for PS3)

I have not heard any confirmation yet about the progreess of the game itself..
Memoria
i adore final fantasy! my favourite version is FFIX (9)!!! Vivi rules all =3
Packy
I prefer FFVII over any other FF game happy.gif I already have the spinoff, Dirge of Cerberus, on reserve... I'll also be getting FFXII on reserve along with the Warcraft expansion pack on monday happy.gif
RizaXRoy

Meitantei Conan
Final Fantasy VII

But i also Like Final Fantasy XII is a Good One too!
Fushi
I can tell you right now my favorite isn't VII =D

I actually don't have a favorite. I'm trying to get hold of all the older so I can decide (I played then when I was younger, but only briefly cause I rented them. V I've never gotten past the part where he gets off his chocobo tho because it always froze up right there DX stupid rental place) Because none of the new ones really...catch my eye. =/ I like the series.....as a whole.

Although I am fond of IX.
Innocent-malice
My favorite is VII. Though I havent played it in about a year thats really what got me into the series. For some reason I dont enjoy the new ones as much, I did like X but I dont like the battle system in XII so I never really play it.
