Oh, I thought she was being rational. I find it amusing that people get offended by the DaVici Code saying it makes false acusations about Jesus. It's in the fiction section for a reason ya' know!

Unless Dan Brown or the guys behind the DVC movie say it's all real, let's not get worked up about the DVC plot. Personally, I haven't seen it...for the reason that they made it R-18 where I live. Besides, a real Christian won't get worked up by something as simple as that. And yes, 'tis fiction. Nothin' but fiction.

Let's move on...

I don't have a specific movie which I hate, but I do hate movies in general which have too much blood and gore...some, to get the plot across, is fine, but you don't have to drench everything in the red stuff because it's too much. o_o Less is more.

I may have mentioned this one, but did anyone else see Wild Wild West? Gah that was awful.

The old one, or the new one?
I've seen them both and they do suck.

hrm...movies i hate...

well for one i hate gorey/scary movies. I don't see why people would pay to get scared and freaked out like that laugh.gif
i don't watch much movies ^^; but i know what i hate.
ed_drink_your_milk
I absolutely despise the movie Fluke. worst movie ever!!
Packy
^I respect your opinion, but how could you hate it? It was a sad movie, but sweet none the less ^^

Theres one I didnt understand why they even made it, and that was Scary Movie 3. The first 2 were funny, but the 3rd just... well, it sucked. The only part I found funny in it was one of the deleted scenes and the alien bit... The 4th one brought the series back though thankfully!

wow, you're the first person i've met whose actually seen that movie. and yes it's sad, but it was kind of overly sad, depressing, and i found it quite boring.
Fushi
I hate gorey, slasher flicks such as Hostel, where they don't even have that much of a plot, they're just senseless violence.

I don't watch movies often, however when I find one I hate I tend to forget about it because it doesn't deserve my thought. It's easier to remember ones I just don't like than ones I despise.

Example of a movie I dislike: Metropolis (the anime, Osamu Tezuka one) Just didn't like it. Don't hate it tho.

^Hostel disgusted me to no end >_<; According to bloody-disgusting they're making a Hostel 2 ohmy.gif

The one woth Will Smith is the newer one.

I thought Hostel was alright. It pulled punches at the wrong moments, though. The scene where
Kana gets her face mutilated by that bald dude
was over-the-top and gratuitous, but other times, it felt like it wasn't graphic enough. The plot was pretty cool, though. Kinda kept me up at night because it was actually a realistic kind of horror, and not just some chimerical bullshit.

Oh James Herbert, what a strange book for you to write. Really if you read the book its meant to be slightly disturbing, the film is cheesy.

Oh how I want to see Hostel
joanne45
Showgirls, Gigli and House of Wax....total crap.
And also the so-called teen horror flicks like I Know What You Did..., Scream, Urban Legend....ENOUGH....totally crap.
Chiyo
^Yes, but they are the older ones, that started the trend not took it over the top.
Nepharski
Saw the first four minutes of Borat on a YouTube special feature.

I want my four minutes back.
GREEDisGOOD
Napoleon Dynomite - THERE IS NO POINT. All of the characters act like they're retarded. The jokes that are supposed to be so funny just seem to me to be stupid (not stupid-funny but just stupid).
Shinobimelxi
Midnight Shamala's (or how ever you spell his last name) movies. They're not scary at all! Also, nepoleon dynamite, the weatherman, and any sucky horror film.
Lee_1995
The movies I hate can be described simply with one word "DRAMA" you know! Romance, smoochies, kissies it annoys me to death! That's why I prefer watching Poseidon to Titanic I wanna see the action! I don't wanna see or hear that mua sound!

Another type of movies I hate is the kiddie kind! I know you don't like them either! You know! People start making dolls move like Barbie,Bratz,My Scene it becomes cornier every minute! Well what would you expect from a kid like me who listens to punk rock all the time!

I really didn't like Shrek the 3rd...mellow.gif

Somehow, it didn't measure up to the first two.
~Kurenai~
I hated Eragon..I was totally expecting it to be like Lord Of the Rings or harry Potter..boy was I wrong..sleep.gif
That One Dude
^OMG It was the same for me. I read the book and I loved it, so I was expecting the movie to be awesome, but all I got in return for 1 and 1/2 years of waiting for the movie was that load of [censored]. It seriously pissed me off to see such an entertaining book turned into... THAT. I also hate little children's movies.
~Kurenai~
^ yah. I know. (even though I didn't read it..happy.gifwink.gif I mean reviews were saying stuff like "move over Harry Potter" stuff like that...jeez. Oh but that one dude with the hella cracked lips was funny. (do you know his name? the freak with the red hair and stuff..??)
That One Dude
Are you talking about the bad guy in the movie? It's Durza. And about the reviews, that happens almost ALL OF THE TIME these days. They say, 'the number one movie in america!' and then it's crap, and then another one comes out, and they say, 'the number one movie in america!' again, and as it turns out, it's crappier than the other one! Do they even watch the freakin' movies?!!
Bling_bling_Angel
Somehow, Pirates 3 didn't quite fly with me... mellow.gif I was kinda upset about that. There was just way too much going on for its own good.
Chiyo
Yea, Pirates 3 was a let down, as was Spidey 3...but I don't hate them as such.

Oh, watched Driven last night, that was painful crud.

I have to say that would have been a very dumb expectation. Its nothing like either of those movies.

I didn't really care for 1408.... that movie was deffinately a let down... all the hype and I was like feh....
joanne45

High School Musical - bleech!

~Kurenai~
This one is easy!

High School Musical

Oh, I also was really disappointed with Eragon. My expectations were too high. I didn't hate the movie, I was giggling at some parts making fun of it. Especially at the Trollz guy with red crazy hair and cracky lips.

sad.gif I really was disapointed with High School Musical. My friends had a huge party of the first showing of it, and it was really crappy. I however really did like the movie Eragon, in some parts. Some of the other parts were a little boring, though. dry.gif

angry.gif The one movie I really, REALLY hated was The Spiderwick Chronicles. mad.gif That movie was the biggest let-down of them all!!! I usually go with the movies that are based on books, but that was a really disapointment. It was so predictable that I could guess everything that was going to happen, and I didn't even read any of the books. UGH!!!! angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif

excl.gif I caution you, if you want to see that movie, go see another movie or read a book for all I care!!! excl.gif

The Epic Movie
Okay...that movie was just plain sick and wrong!

The Spiderwick Chronicles
Okay, I don't HATE it, but I was very very disappointed. They left out so much from the book, change a million things and...they just messed it up!

The Epic Movie

First of all, just 'Epic Movie'. No 'the'. Second, that's what they were aiming for, just like Date Movie and all the Scary Movies. Duh.

I absolutely hated 'The Inconvenient Truth: With Al Gore'. If I hadn't been forced to watch it, I'm sure I could have found another way to waste 2 hours. It was more documentary than movie. Oh! And 'Cars'. They really couldn't put Owen Wilson to good use in that move D:

I hate romance movies. wub.gif Drama movies I guess are alright. sleep.gif I just watched this new movie, and it was one of the most confusing, horrible, get out of my head movies!!! tongue.gif tongue.gif It's called The Quiet, and don't see it. angry.gif You'll be sorry if you do.

Electra.

That movie...blech. I mean, c'mon! Some sexy assassin who romps around in a skin-tight, crimson outfit? Geez, it was dumb. Along with Aeon Flux, which was just as...annoying. I remember watching the animated show of it on MTV as a kid. Hm.

2nd most-hated movie? Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me. Perhaps the most vulgar movie I'd seen in my childhood (saw it first when I was 5 yrs old). For some reason, I wanted to watch it again when I was 14. And turned it off mid-way; I just couldn't take it anymore, the stupidity and whatnot. Man! In terms of vulgarity, heh, it was worse than Juno!

^Reffering to moral values?

Yes, I'm positive. But I'm also LDS, though it doesn't make much of a difference: most people of that religion shun me for my own personal beliefs. Anyway...yeah...it just makes me uncomfortable, that's all. And I'd rather not be hearing it, especially when my younger brothers are present (whatever I watch/read, they feel they can as well).

In no order what-so-ever:

Pirates of the Caribbean 3: I love the original PotC and the second one was fairly good too. Yet, the third is horrible. There is no point, the characters have lost all of their charism, plot is everywhere and everything experienced in the first two movies is forgotten. I think the writers just watched a bunch of movies and wrote the script in one go because they though it wasn't the plot that interested people: it was the special effects. In an interview, Knightley said that "Every movie is bigger". Special effect are supposed to be there to support the actual story, not steal it. It's sad to watch the acotrs do their work because the script was so poor, I bet not even half of them knew what they were doing. At some points, there was some promise but then everything went to a wrong direction.

The incredibles: Boring as hell. Talk about a movie whose trailer was better than the actual experience. I only watched it to the end because I had paid to see it and in the end I was half-asleep. I know it is supposed to be a parody but not even one scene made me laugh. The characters are unlikable and unrealistic, the plot was forgettable. I don't know why everyone loves this so much. They say it's the best Pixar movie but I can't see why.

Spirited Away: What is wrong with me? Why don't I understand movies that everyone like? This was boring. I know the basic plot is pretty simple: A girl moves to a town but on their way there, the parents go to a eat-all-you can restaurantish place ad turn to pigs (symbolism?), the girl meets a cute boy and walks to a weird dream land, gets a job, meets gross creatures and eats black balls that make her cry (symbolism much). That's all I remember of the movie. The art style made me nauseous but there was one music piece I liked but I can't remember how it sounded like. That's the lowest a movie can get!

Juno: Pointless, boring, the main character was annoying as hell, dialogue is supposed to be clever but made me cover my eyes in shame. The only good thing about this movie was the adoption family.

Harry Potter 3 and 6 ( let's just say every movie after the second one): I am a huge fan of HP series but the movies make no respect for the books. Third was concidered the best but I was disappointed: they altered so much! Six was my favourite book, and still is, but hte movie forgot the plot. This was all about romance, nothing else. Even Dumbledore was asking Harry about his relationship with Hermione! It was OOC! The movies should show more of the adult actors because the younger ones ( expect for Rupert Grint) don't have enough charism to keep the movie in order. Oh yeah, and they've given Ron a very minimal role. I just hope he is allowed to destroy the Horncox. I mean, they just can't mess that one up! I should probably say nothing or else they'll give the mission to Hermione.
Razzy
The Last Airbender was the absolute worst movie I've ever seen. Really, whenever I see a movie now, even a movie like The Human Centipede, it looks brilliant in comparison to The Last Airbender. The acting was horrible, the action was boring, the plot was rushed... it was honestly painful to watch. I wouldn't even watch this movie to make fun of it; that's how bad it is.

The Hangover. I know a lot of people love this movie, but I just didn't find it funny. It seemed very unoriginal, like anyone could have thought of it.

Cars was, in my opinion, Pixar's worst movie. I love Pixar, but this movie just... eh. I found it extremely predictable. Unlike everyone else, I, for some reason, didn't find Mater's personality very endearing.

Sleeping Beauty (Disney) was a movie I probably liked as a young kid. But when I watch it now, I can't stand it. I just want to smack Aurora. She's such a brat.
Maromi
*Walks into Movie Theater*

"Alright, I love "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and this is gonna be great!"

*walks out*

"The hell was that."

I heard Avatar the last airbender was rubbish but i havent sen it

i dont like HSM and anything with Zac Efron or Justin beiber Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww
Razzy
Adding to my list of hate... XD

I don't like The Happening, The Village, or Shutter Island... basically anything with a predictable plot twist (which people think are "OMG SO BRILLIANT", for some reason...).
For Shutter Island, I was honestly disappointed. I really thought they were tricking him. Towards the end, I was expecting a plot twist, but I was kind of hoping that this movie was above relying on a plot twist, which most people saw coming. But I was wrong. SHAME ON YOU, SHUTTER ISLAND... making me believe you were better than a cruddy plot twist. D: [/rant]

Also, Ponyo was not good, imo. I'm totally all about imagination and kids' movies and magic and stuff, but the only two words to describe that movie were cute and trippy. But not trippy in a good way. Like, in a really boring and confusing way. It was definitely a movie for little kids.

Tim Burton's remake of Alice in Wonderland was awful. I love Burton's films, but that was just garbage. It was like a horribly-written fanfic made into a movie. It was lacking so much... I dunno. It was just lacking something. He should start making original movie ideas again, not remakes.
A Pierrot's Aria
^I agree with you, Razzy! Alice in Wonderland, for me, was absolutely terrible! It was the first movie I had ever seen in 3D and I had to endure pains in my eyes just to watch that rubbish! I agree, it was like a fanfic turned into a movie. In some scenes it made it look like there were some kind of hidden feelings that the Mad Hatter and Alice had for each other; which is just disturbing! laugh.gif Sure, it looked pretty and had good effects and all of that, but I found it very boring and I couldn't wait for it to end. The only reason I didn't walk out was because I was with a friend.

I also just don't like "Gothic"-themed movies/books...so I didn't really like that whole aspect of it either...
jacksparrow589
I'm probably going to be smeared for this one, but "Gone With the Wind". Hated that movie. Scarlet just... ugh! Words do not describe how much I dislike her.
