As for the manga itself: Its amazing that this arc has lasted so long and yet is still so exciting. Ichigo's power is absolutely insane. When will we find out what he really is?? There surely is some backstory our favorite strawhat merchant is keeping from us

It's normal I didn't read naruto for a month , I got bored so what the heck might aswell. Although it's kinda of boring right now although the new Naruto is still cool. I can't remember but did Manga7 catch up and what happened to Bleach world weren't they attached to Naruto Fan?

I'm actually 2 or three chapters behind because of school work, so maybe I'll wait awhile and have a big juicy read.

(A reason why I like the FMA manga so much is because the once a month release supplies a long enjoyable chapter each time...not just 17 pages with a few words here and there )

Yes I know I love directmanga although there severs are packed now. I've read so much manga from that website I feel like an expert. I just remember getting interested in bleach because Naruto fan kept on promoting it so that was a good thing. It's getting harder and harder to not read the new bleach manga it's just waiting for me *drool*

It seems that we have all the chapters up to 162 now (dances with glee) I had quite an enjoyable read last night (157-162)

[spoiler]I'm very curious; Where do you get the idea that Ichigo has an uncle who is/was a Shinigami? If you're referring to Zangetsu, then you're looking too much into the translation. Ichigo wasn't calling Zangetsu a blood relative, but rather, more like an "old man," and not literally his "uncle." The translation was misleading. Not to mention, Zanpaku swords aren't Shinigami themselves, but a means of manifesting a Shinigami's spiritual power. The spirits that we see (so far only Zangetsu and Zabimaru) are the hearts of the swords themselves.

Also, Kaien's wife was indeed killed. We see Kaien beholding her corpse, sparking the idea of revenge, where we later found out that the Hollow had chomped her in half and didn't finish the rest of her. She's quite dead.

I've personally chalked it up to reincarnation, but I don't want to believe it because of how corny and cliche the idea is. I'm sure Kubo-sensei has a better idea in mind.[/spoiler]

Definetely in agreement with Kagebu here....I think we need to wait a bit longer to find out why Ichigo is so bloody powerful

Based on comments made on the past, 'Straw-hat" guy and Byakuya obviously know something. I have a feeling that Ichigo is going to be the "legendary....(something or other)" Maybe a prophecy about a guy like him showing up every X number of years

Its fairly simple, Byakuya is a proud bastard and an asshole. He probably never even liked it when Rukia came into his family in the first place.

But then what's with that shrine in his house? It seems like a deceased family member that looks just like Rukia (or is it a picture of Rukia?) If so, then there's got to be something else going on maybe.

I would think so, he repeated what he said that time too, that it would be troublesome if he died. (He said other, slightly creepy things too. But I can't remember what)
I knew something was up when that mask kept randomly showing up on Ichigo despite the fact he kept getting rid of it. (Creepy!)

Yes I finally got off Bleach Diet and I'm dying for more. So Ichigo is a hollow 0_0 well half hollow? I wanna know what's going on with Soifon and why Yoruich helped Urahara escape. Why was he captured in the first place. Does anyone know the chapter where we see that girl who looks a lot like Rukia I missed it 0_0.

Translated chapter 167 of the manga is out. And well...the Ichigo/Byakuga fight is over...well who do you think won?

I think this war between Soul Society and Ichigo is kind of stupid actually. While they are fighting and injuring each other, the Hollows are waiting in the wings getting ready to strike probably when they will be most vulnerable. They should be fighting together.

I really love Bleach! I've read only 3 volumes by now, but my friend promised to give me the others...
I think this manga is simply great! The mangaka's drawing style is really cool, it's really unusual and simply great!

I think the fight between the soul society and Ichigo is also part of an even bigger problem that we have yet to understand. (and perhaps the greater political turmoil within the soul society is meant to weaken the whole structure against hollows/insurgent shinigami/ etc)

As the end of this chapter showed, something bigger is still going on. Something is suspicious about the 1st and 3rd captains, the 5th captain Aizen Sousuke's death is still unexplained, and then there was that slaughter we just saw at the end of this chapter.
Furthermore we still don't know why/who was thirsting for Rukia's death so badly and why (people did admit that it was odd that they wanted her dead so quickly desperately)

I'm guessing that Rukia, Ichigo, and even a large chunk of the captains are pawns in someone's larger plan...sure everyone suspects Ichimaru Gin....but who knows?
I'm hoping that now that the big Ichigo/Byakuya battle is over they'll be moving into these more complex issues. (looking forward to it)

I read 167 I'm now wondering what's going on with Hitsugaya now that we got to see a glimpse on what's going on with him.

(God, i love kubo tite. plot twist!) but anyway, now would be a really good time for hitsugaya to come in and rescue his soulmate, hinamori...9__9[/spoiler]

I'm reading the Shonen Jump version released in America. Now I'm hooked. The sword Ichigo has is great. I'm thinking of redesigning a sword I sketched based on it.

For some reason, this remined me of Shaman King. Meh, who cares...

I realize that most manga publishers (especially Shonen Jump) tend to butcher good manga with horrible translation. Most of the ones I read are alright. 'Course, I can't read any Japanese characters, so I can't say if they're any accurate...

they call ichigo "strawberry" every now and then. 'nuff said.

[spoiler]damn it aizen, i hate you. i expected unohana-taichou to show up because i don't think kubo tite will kill of hitsugaya and hinamori, and if unohana-taichou sticks them in her manta ray thing's stomach, they'll probably heal a little and not die. unohana's also gotten very little screentime (paneltime?) so far.....as has tousen-taichou. so aizen got tousen-taichou to follow him with methods of convincing other than his hypnosis? but doesn't tousen have that peaceful worldview though and dislikes fighting and stuff? i expect someone, hopefully renji, will open his eyes (figuratively) and let him realize that he's probably being misled by aizen-no-longer-taichou. on another note, the sleeveless shinigami uniform is very sexy.[/spoiler]

How many volumes? Viz has only released 5. ;_; Don't tell me it's ungodly long like Naruto...
