I haven't heard the Chinese version...I really doubt that many people on this forum have heard it at all...although I believe I would prefer the Japanese one because I'm more used to Japanese songs and I happen to like Akihito's vocals very much.

really? i rather like the eason chan version. kind of wish i had a full-length version and understood cantonese. perhaps a mandarin version will appear eventually....not sure whether i'd welcome that or be frightened.

and i don't know what the title is actually, but when i dLed the eason chan version, mine was titled "never die"....but looking at the chinese, i think your translation is closer to the original.
