I agree with Kirara. I'm guessing that Al E.'s and Al H.'s voices are going to be very similar, but that voice for a 17 year old!? Insanity!

That would seem to be the most reasonable explanation, seeing as we don't even know if Al H. has a brother, much less one in a situation that would wind up with him saying something like that. Probably they are trying to mess with our heads. Or its symbolism. Or they just figured we'd figure it out.

And yeah, even Al's voice would have to change a little bit by that point...

You have all missed a vitally important point back a few pages... When you talked about Alphonse making the armour move to pretend it's himself. HE LOST EVERY MEMORY OF EVERYTHING AFTER THE NIGHT THEY TRIED TO REVIVE THEIR MOTHER. Meaning, he shouldn't remember waking up in the armour in the first place... Hence, the armour should mean nothing to him.

Don't know if this has already been pointed out, I skipped ahead a bit just when I saw that part.

The people around Al could've told him you know...

Also, if Al didn't know anything, then how'd he know to "cosplay" as his brother? I mean, according to the trailer, you're looking at Al knowing how Ed dressed and acted, right down to the clapping alchemy. I'm sure someone filled him in at one time or another. After all, he went from Winry being about his age to being 4 years older, I know that would get me confused.

Izumi Sensei most likely filled Al in on what happened during the past four years (although she herself doesn't know EVERY detail)... I mean, Al DID go to re-train with her at teh end of teh series... ;;;

I am currently in Japan and have visited Universal Studios Japan (located in Osaka) today. I thought it might be a good idea to tell people (if you don't know already) that there is a special "Tour Preview" of the movie, which I attended. They show you many different clips narrarated to tell the story so far in the anime. The "tour" part was walking aroung looking at these little sets to look like an alchemists table or an office of the renkinjutsushi. They even had such cool stuff as the white glove with the red alchemists seal on the back and the pocketwatch you recive when you become a national alchemist! It was truly amazing... too bad they didn't allow cameras. They were STRICT, believe me, I tried. They also showed a cool movie thing at the end, the Japanese was way too advanced for me to know, but I believe it was a tiny sequence that set up the movie. Then the real preview rolled right along the screen. That was it. No merchandise shop, no nothing. Not even a lousy pic. If any developments occure, I'll be sure to post.

alphonse returned to his 10 year old body after ed tried to bring his entire body with him.alphonse also had no memories of him being in the armor so that is out of the question. because he didn't know that his brother was in the military their would be no way he would learn of his brothers tales from anyone one in the state(let alone know anyone) izumi would not likely tell al about the military part because she despises the military and would not want al to be a dog of the state.
as for the transmustaion circle on his hands think about it. he lost all memories of the gate and he saw izumie use the ability hundreds of time. but what i can't understand is why he doesn't just tatoo the arays on his hands like kimblee did.
also if you look at the image i posted below(i'll get to it in a second) al's clothing is not that similer to his brother. his shirt is botton up and eds was zipped. his pants are slacks as eds were either black thight jeans or lether. and his shoes are more on the dress up then eds who were battle or action boots. for those that said he was in the militray or that he was a state alchemist is wrong(look at the design)he has no silver watch.

for those that are wondering why ed is playing around with his arm need to know this. you have to understand that this is the 1920s for god sack. ams just don't run for ever. it is most likely that ed was in a battle in which his arm was ripped of so he need to charge his arm up via pulling the motor in order to re attach the lower base of his arm and that would cause the fake skin to melt.

for those who are wondering about the people in the military. roy has been bumbed down to corpral and his now been dispatch somewhere in th norrth while riza stays in centrel. armstrong is also said to have left the military and was opening a shop up in his hometown.

also i must show my dispointment in the site for not showing in new images from newtype magazine..

Ok i'm just throwing all this out there, just theories and things i noticed. When Dante & Hohenheim have the discussion of their past, notice how the person Dante uses to place Hohenheims soul in looks like Hans. Leaving me to believe that our world is the past of their world. Hohenheim is probably trying to find a way to return to his when things unfold to him meeting dante and all that.

it also appears that Al Elric knows somewhat of what happened in the series because he tells Winry he will find his brother. And he might have subconcieous memories, explaining his outfit.

Everithin is about Edo an Al, i love them but when we'll see more about the military?? where is R&R??? we don't know very much about that

Heres what I think Al is posing as ed because there needs to be a full metal. And he animates the armor...In order to do so he gives up his arm. Since he cant do circleless transmutation he relies on the gloves. Ed is still in the other world and sumhow he's going to cross back.

WOW. I must say this looks great.
I think the guy at the end clapping his hands and touching the armour Al looks more like the Hagaren world Ed to me. And when Al H. Says "I knew Big Brother was out there somewhere" That could well be Hagaren Al inside Al H. If you remember Ed had a counterpart which he was placed into the first time he crossed the gate. Maybe they go across the gate numerous times in the film? I want to know how the Thule Society (see Last episode Epilogue) and Nazi Party are going to fit in though, apparently Hitler had an interest in a place called Shambhala, I can't remember the details exactly but I remember seeing it somewhere. Ah, well thanks for the trailer, I cant wait to see the film now

Probably because one of my favorite actresses is playing him. Or so I'm pretty sure. I have a video of an interview of the people who are playing them, and Sawaii Miyuu, I'm pretty damn sure, is playing Al. Actually, at first I was like "...Wow, what the hell is this." but then I figured, since they do that all the time in anime with boys' voices (BEFORE the anime in question is dubbed), that hey.. it was pretty cool.

As for everything else, like the debate going on in here over what is what. I suggest we all simply sit back and wait for it to come out at all, watch it, and find out for ourselves. Let's not waste our precious brain cells on trying to figure out stuff ahead of time. Leave the answers to the movie.

Ok, 1st off Ed is not dead. I'm pretty sure he almost died, but he's not dead right now. [Have you even seen the end of the show?] and 2nd, i know what pic you're talking about. I think it should be true =.= coz I heard him saying 'Kono sekai wa mamoru' or something like that, 'kono sekai' would mean this world, and 'mamoru' would mean protect ...

although, that's just what I think... (now I wish someone who really knows Jap is here..)
