The yellow version would be my all-time favourite. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu are my favourite Pokemon, so that's one of the reasons why I liked yellow. Truthfully though, I like all the classic versions equally.
I liked Gold (and Silver) too, but nothing beats the original.
*sighs* I want Fire Red and/or Leaf Green...

I have to say I like yellow because I like pikachu following you around; the one I play most would be ruby though.

I can't hold it in any longer. I'll tone it down though so I hopefully don't deeply affend anyone.
To me Pokemon is boring as hell I picked the last option on the poll. I use to play them but they just kept dishing out the same thing with a few new features. Colliseum was the only good variation.

I think I liked Crystal the best. It had the cute little animations at the start of all the battles, a playable female character (
finally), and lots of nice little bonuses not included in Gold/Silver. (I personally prefer Silver Version to Gold because I think the illustrations look nicer, and I prefer Lugia, but that's just my opinion, I suppose.

) I haven't had a chance to see what Ruby/Sapphire are like.

Stadium 2 was fun, but it's a little too battle-oriented for me...although a number of th mini-games were awsome...
Ahaha, I'm still a Pocket Monster fan...

Don't care? Why, I'm sure all the Pokémon you've had in the past would be hurt by that.

How nice of you to bring up Pokemon green a game we Americans did not get.
Lately they are rehashing old titles and giving them new names like the two pokemon games that came out last year same old REd and Blue just new graphics.
HOpefully the pokemon game slated to come out this year is a actual new game and not a Remake of Yellow, Silver, or any of the others.
My favorite Pokemon game was Yellow cause it actually felt intwined with that of the t.v. show with the Pikachu following you and you gaining Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur simular to the way Ash gained them.

To me, Gold was the best, mainly because you had such a wide selection of old Pokemon and new Pokemon, that you could make the best team ever(I still haven't found anyone that can beat mine). Ruby and Saphire were graphically really good, but when I first played it, there were all these new Pokemon and I had no idea which ones were strong, or even what they were.
My team on Gold, btw, is: Tyranitar, Lapras, Dragonite, Typholosion, Espeon, and Raikou, all in the high 80s.
Raised most of them from eggs, and caught Raikou with my master ball, cuz I got too fed up with chasing it.
All the games i have are:
Red
Yellow
Pinball
Stadium
Gold
Silver
Also, was the old old pokemon show actually from Japan, not like the new shitty shows?

I have to go with the first two generations for the memories they bring back to me.
Red and Blue specifically for the memories, and Gold and Silver for their awesomeness in the first place. Gold and Silver just has so much variety, and I think it beats out today's generation of Pokemon for sure.

What a heartless thing to do...........

Out of the choices I've been given, I'd say that Crystal was the best. There are so many things that crystal has the the others could learn from. But out of them all, I'd say that Emerald is my favorite (362 species! Yay! I'm getting so far

)
BTW, I heard that the new ones that are coming out (Daimond and Pearl) are not only going to be for Nintendo DS but for GBA too. I hope so, I not only have no DS, but I loike the GB, 'tradition' we'll call it.

Yeah. I sort of know what you mean. But I'm really mad that the DS can't play any of the original Game Boy games D= So I have to play my old GB Pokemon games on GBA, and I'm not used to having no built-in light. >.<
My favorite Pokemon game that follows the original concept (Red, Blue, etc.) would be FireRed. I love the original Pokemon, and so I fell in love with that game. But besides that one, the one that is included as an option in the poll would be Sapphire. The contests and the idea of PokeBlocks are really neat.

Emerald for the awesome graphics and longer gameplay

GSC era for sure. Can't pick a single game. Crystal had added stuff, but Gold and Silver had Cloning.
Diamond and Pearl might unseat them. Maybe.
Little Washu: Diamond and Pearl are DS games. There are no GBA versions. They have touchscreen based content.
These really should have been grouped like so:
Red/Blue
Yellow
Gold/Silver
Crystal
Ruby/Sapphire
Were Emerald and Fire Red/Leaf Green out when this was posted?
