<Merged "Pokemon, Talk about the games here!" thread with the following 6 posts. 04/26/07 ~Tombow>You can discuss anything you want about any of the Pokemon games here.

Right now, I'm not very far in my Diamond version; My Pokemon are all around level 8.

Yay! Your thread worked! I still haven't started Diamond yet. I'm occupied with Pearl, where I have 6 badges, a lv.47 Infernape (and some other strong Pokemon), and an egg that when it hatches and evolves will become a Lucario.

Little Washu- I wish I was as quick as you were... usually it takes months for me to finish a Pokemon game.
It's annoying when I get a new Pokemon game; my brother wants to play it too and he won't let me use his DS/GBA unless I let him play my game.

The good thing about me being faster than other people, I can answer their questions if they get stuck. Like the one I seem to have helped people with a lot:
"In leaf green/fire red, how do you get to the 4rth island?"
I've done that 4 times.

One of my friends beat Diamond in a day using only 2 Pokemon.
Been playing my Sapphire myself, will be getting Diamond soon.

Steel Heart Alchemist - Yeah, I know, I know, you went through the trouble of creating another Pokemon game thread, but...
I agree with
Popo's post on
Pokemon thread in General Anime forum, that this should go on the other Pokemon game thread in this forum.
I added the subtitle to include all Pokemon game discussions on that thread, so we can talk about this on that thread now. ^^
Hence, I'm merging this "
Pokemon, Talk about the games here!" thread with the preceding 6 posts to
Pokemon Games thread.
ETA: Thread merged. ^^

Pokemon Yellow

Pokemon LeafGreen
Pokemon FireRed? <---I don't remember the name XD
I have more, I just don't know where they are >.<
Of all those I like Pikachu version, but sadly the battery of the game die and it doesn't saves anything anymore T__T
I want to get the Pearl version....I don't know if this time I will be able to finish the game since I'm not a Pokefan anymore >> But I'm sure my brother will if I ever fail to .....

From what I've seen, Diamond/Pearl are really awesome (cameo from a GSC Gym leader + the use of the word "noob" FTW). Hopefully, I'll get Diamond (Pearl later and the eventual third when it comes out) this week. Of course, this will probably be after I send my DS in to get fixed but before I get it back. >.<

Crystal, Emerald, Mystery Dungeon, and a whole lot more.
Silver was my first game and that's when I lost my heart to the Pokemon games. ^^

My first Pokemon game was Blue. I was in first grade, and I was so bad at it that I didn't know how to enter/exit buildings. XD
My Starly and my Shinx just evolved in my Diamond game. (yay!)

Hmm can someone tell me which is better?
Diamond or Pearl?

Hanozo: The only difference is in which Pokemon are available.
Oh, and in recent happenings, I caught a shiny Zubat on my Sapphire!

Apr 30 2007, 05:05 PM
Oh ok thanks.
So far I only caught four shinys >.<
My friend has five, were having a competition to see who will get the most by the end of next week

This is my first Shiny in the advance gen. I've got a couple in GSC, IIRC (not counting the Red Gyrados).

I gotta say my fav wasn't a actually "version" of Pokemon it was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (I am playing Red Rescue). But I enjoyed good ol fashion Red Version alot aswell :3. Pokemon Diamond ain't half bad either.
PS: other than Shiny Gyarados the only shiny I've caught was a shiny Aron back in Ruby version. Than a friend of mine deleted the saved file x.o I'm still mad now. I've also seen a shiny Shroomish but I didn't have any pokeballs on me at the time to catch it ;C *goes emo since Breloom is one of her fav Pokemon*

The only shiny Pokemon I've ever caught was a shiny Numel in Sapphire version. Once, my friend's brother found a shiny Ditto. (but he didn't catch it)

I personally thought Pokemon Stadium was the coolest Pokemon game ever when I was in the fourth grade, and I still think so.

Only the old Pokemon games were fun, like Pokemon Blue and Red.
Now that is like over 500 pokemon, Pokemon isnt fun anymore.

Abtrusive Eulogy: Lawl, I've seen that already but it never fails to amuse me.

I like the new Pokemon, it just to bring more variety to the games.
And new Eevee evolutions always rock!

Well, Diamond and Pearl are quite awesome. I'm rather glad they made the distances between towns somewhat more realistic. Wish you could fight the Johto Gym Leader that appears instead of just get an HM from her. Oh well.
I think the Battle Tower got easier, too.
Anybody up for a WiFi battle, sometime?

I wish I had Pearl. Both games seem so awesome.

My favorite one is defenitly Diamond. It has plenty of legendaries, plenty of extras, and cool starters. (Turtwig lover!) The underground is cool and i love digging for goods. But i do hate those stupid spheres.......

Lately my favorite's been Pearl. People complain about too many legendaries, but hey, keep 'em coming, I say~! 'Sides, Giratina's the most awesome thing to happen to the game since Mewtwo.
But I always have a heart for the second generation, namely Crystal and Stadium 2. Those will ALWAYS be the best in the series. Sadly for me, though, I don't actually own Stadium 2...though I've made it a quest now to own it. :B

Pearl, Saphire, Red, and then of course Crystal. Crystal has always been my favorite, since it's done so much for me, even gave me one of my best friends.

My favorite is now Diamond. I love the new Pokemon and features, but the Secret Bases in the Underground are terrible. If they were like the ones in Ruby/Sapphire, they would be much better. D:
Little Washu
Oct 8 2007, 04:56 PM
^The secret bases get really good after you move all the rocks out and buy lots of stuff(TVs, refrigerators, couches, ect.)
Razzy
Oct 8 2007, 05:03 PM
I can't move the rocks, though. Where do I find people to play Capture The Flag with? I have to use the Wireless Connection, right?
Little Washu
Oct 8 2007, 05:23 PM
^Yeah, just find one person, and capture their flag at least 50 times, and then you can move all the rocks. It doesn't have to be the same person but that's how I did it.
Razzy
Oct 8 2007, 05:51 PM
*faints* 50 times? D:
Aw well, I can just spend all of my time digging for Treasures. (That's how I get my Moon Stones and Heart Scales.)
Is there some kind of Fossil Maniac or someone that can regenerate fossils in Pearl/Diamond? And a person who takes Red/Yellow/Blue Shards? I have so many Skull Fossils and Shards from Underground, I don't know what to do with them.
Little Washu
Oct 8 2007, 06:02 PM
For the fossils, just give them to this guy in the town with the coal mine. He's in a building to the North-West of town. I still don't know what to do with the shards, so I sell them for money

I chose Red, Blue, and Gold. I just dont think the newer game have the same feel as the older ones. Plus, I think thers way to many legendaries in the new games...whether you need one of those tickets or not.
Not to mention, Growlithe and Arcanine are in the older games
Fujihakama
Dec 1 2007, 11:20 PM
I can't believe they got rid of Arcanine in the Diamond version!
Why can't they just stick all the pokemon from one generation in one version??
