Full Metal Guitarist
I've been looking so hard for one, but the only site that I found with it magically disappeared and now I can't remember much of it. I know it's mostly barre chords, but then again that site didnt have the solo.

If any of you guys have a link to a page of one, I'd appreciate it. Or if you already know the notes by heart just say something like:

Verse: (insert notes)

Chorus: (insert notes)

And so on.
Squirrel of Doom
Man that would be super kick ass to find. If you want hardcore guitar music go to Judas Priest.com. Glenn Hughes and K.K. Downing are some of the best guitarists in the world.

Hey, I was wondering if there is any flute sheet music of Brothers,

I don't think there's any.. sad.gif What I suggest is to get the piano sheet music and play the main melody. It'll still sound great =)
The New Fullmetal Alchemist
Wow, thanks for the scans, ForWile! you rock! Question: what does "requiem" sound like? where's it from, even? also, does anyone know a good way for someone in the states to get their hands on the character song file things? Any word on a us release so we don't have to go through the whole hassle of ordering it from overseas? Just curious! Thanks you guys! Gosh, I love the music from FMA! I have my band teacher hooked on it! (the music that is, still can't get her to watch the show! haha! laugh.gif)
Vitari the Music Alchemist
Hi! Anyone knows a place where I could get Kessenai Tsumi's Midi?
The New Fullmetal Alchemist
Aaaaargh! Where are you people finding all of these names?! Requiem, Last Meeting... is this all on the third OST? Because that's the only one I don't have... unless the track listings on the first two were translated somewhat incorrectly... argh! Please let me know where you people find all of these! Thanks!
Krystal Serenity

Hi, just thought I'd toss these out here. I did a piano transcription of Kodoku, the piano version of Bratja that plays during the flashback in Episode 38
when Ed goes to find Al at the river
:
http://lotusford49.tripod.com/kodoku.pdf

Also, I was looking around for copies of the sheet music of Chopin's Etude Op. 10 No. 3,
the piece that plays twice in the final episode, once as the original piano solo at the gate, and then a version arranged for orchestra in the Munich scenes
(Wakare no Kyoku on the OSTs). Anyway, I found these two copies:
http://www.free-scores.com/download-sheet-music.php?pdf=1483
http://www.sheetmusicarchive.net/dlpage_ne...position_id=579
It's the same music, they're just typeset a bit differently with different lines on different hands.
The New Fullmetal Alchemist
Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for "Georgeousness?" It's on the second OST - I think it's number 26 - no idea what it's called in Japanese... any help would be appreciated! Also, does anyone know if full band scores of Oshima-san's arrangements have been published like Yoko Kanno did for 6 of the Cowboy Bebop songs? Thanks! smile.gif

Does anyone know where I can find the song "Kiro" for piano? I'm trying to write it down by ear, but it's not working...
The New Fullmetal Alchemist
Ichigo's is a great place for FMA music... as far as the flute goes, I play it - just play the top line on piano music... you know, I get the feeling that a lot of people in this thread don't actually bother to read otehr posts before posting themselves... questions may already be answered, you know! Anyway, with the exception of what's in the official piano book, the composer, Michiru Oshima (sp? I don't have her name in front of me right now...), hasn't released any of the other songs (score-wise, that is) for whatever reasons - I think this topic is going to have to be sheet music put together by fans - so what do you say, people? Let's all turn over a new leaf by helping our fellow FMA-fan musicians, and reading previous posts! smile.gif

I'd love the piano score to "brothers"...
apparantly there's a Fullmetal Alchemist Piano Solo book. does anyone know if it has the "brothers" song in it? More important still... is there anywhere to get it!?

hey! i had the exact same problem, but after hours and hours of searching, i found it! there are a lot of piano arrangements for Bratja (XD i can play one!) and they're in josh's sheet music. i'm not sure about the sight, but if you google in "josh's anime sheet music master list" there should be an fma section, and there are some arrangements there.

Does anyone know where to get guitar "sheet music" for the openings. Not tabs, sheet music.I'm just learning guitar and I dont know a lot of chords so sheet music would help a lot. If nothing else I want the music for rewrite.

Does anyone have a sheet for "Link" by L~Arc~En~Ciel? I've been listening to it for sometime now and it's only now that I've thought of wanting to play it in the piano.

BTW, the "violin" like part in "Link", is that simulated by guitars or real violins, just pre-recorded. When I watched a video of L~Arc~En~Ciel performing "Link", there were no violins or whatever instrument that can play that without alteration. The live version sounds weird though.

I need some violin

check here: www.ichigos.com/

Go to "Sheet music in the menu to the left, pick your show or game (anime or [Japanese] videogame) in alphabetical order of course, and pick a song! They use Adobe acrobat & Quicktime, though.... cool.gif By the way! It has songgs for voice, piano, voilin & piano, and even some for a 4- string quartette. You just have to find them. Good luck! tongue.gif

There you go!

Does anyone know where I can get guitar and bass tabs for Melissa, Kesenai Tsumi, Tobira no mukou e and undo? I'm doing a medley, I have the piano part, but not the guitar and bass. Drums would be helpful too if you know where they are
The New Fullmetal Alchemist
Wow, it's been a while since I looked through this thread, but I think everyone needs some reminding...

1) Before you post, look to see if your question has already been asked/answered by someone else

2) For flute, etc. there is no special sheet music - just play the top line on the piano part! However, it is possible for someone to transcribe (or transpose, some people hear different terms), and pretty easily (this example is for treble cleff):

just get out a fingering chart for your instrument
know what key your instrument is in
look at the top line of the piano part
transcribe accordingly. For example, the top piano line (always a "C" instrument, techincally) to, say, the French Horn. If on a piece of piano/flute music you see a C written in the staff, that would be an F on the staff for the french horn - if a french horn were to play what a flute sees as a C, it would be a completely different note since it's in a different key. Here's a cool pic to help illustrate (b/c it's late and I like to explain w/ pics rather than words)

IPB Image

So, if going off of a flute/piano piece and you play the french horn, you take each note down by four positions chromatically... It's all really quite easy - have someone (music teacher, etc) help you if you're still not sure...

Here's more from the same site as the picture above: http://cnx.org/content/m10672/latest/

* Common Transposing Instruments
Clarinet is usually a Bb instrument. The most common clarinet sounds one whole step lower than written, so parts for it must be written one whole step higher than concert pitch. Like French horns, clarinets used to come in several different keys, and clarinets in A (with parts that are written a minor third higher) and other keys can still be found.

*Alto and Baritone Saxophone are Eb instruments. Parts for alto saxophone are transposed up a major sixth. Parts for bari sax are transposed up an octave plus a major sixth.

*Tenor and Soprano Saxophone are Bb instruments. Parts for soprano sax are written a step higher than they sound, and parts for tenor sax are transposed up an octave plus a whole step (a major ninth).

*English Horn is an F instrument. Parts for English horn are transposed up a perfect fifth.

*Trumpet and Cornet can be in B flat or C, depending on the individual instrument. B flat is the more common key for cornet. If you are writing for a particular player, you may want to find out if a C or B flat part is expected.

*French horn parts are usually written in F these days, up a perfect fifth. However, because of the instrument's history, older orchestral parts may be in any conceivable transposition, and may even change transpositions in the middle of a piece. Because of this, some horn players learn to transpose at sight.

*Alto flute is in G, written a fourth higher than it sounds.

* Tubas and euphoniums may also be transposing instruments. Some tuba and euphonium parts are written as bass clef C parts (sometimes even when the instrument played is nominally not a "C instrument"; see below for more about this). But in British-style brass bands, BBb and Eb tubas (called basses) are written in treble clef. The BBb is written two octaves and a major second higher than it sounds, and the Eb an octave and a major sixth higher than it sounds. in France (and in the case of parts printed in France), you find Bb euphoniums (calles basses or petites basses) written for in bass clef transposing by a major second, and bass tubas (called contrebasses) in Bb written for in bass clef transposing by a major ninth. If you are writing for a particular group or player, you may want to check to see what kind of instrument is available and what transposition the player is comfortable with.

Some transposing instruments do not change key, but play an octave higher or lower than written.

*Guitar parts are written one octave higher than they sound.

*Men's voices, when given a melody written in treble clef, will usually sing it one octave lower than written.

*String Bass parts are written one octave higher than they sound.

*Piccolo parts are written one octave lower than they sound.

*Contrabassoon parts are written one octave higher than they sound.

*Handbell and handchime parts are written one octave lower than they sound.

This is a little outdated, but I hope I can help you... Would it help if I told you the starting note is D, followed by F, E, F? The song is written in F major, which means that whenever you come across a B note, play the flat (unless otherwise stated).

Hope this helps.

By the way, I believe someone mentioned the title 'Kyoudai'. I think the transposer of that sheet music chose to name it thus because her score is for violin and piano. On the 3rd FMA OST, the second track entitled Kyoudai is the song 'Bratja' (from the 1st FMA OST) played by a violin, with accompaniment by a harp (feels like a harp to me anyway). This is the track she is transposing. It sounds beautiful. Any other bowed strings players out there, try it! The range is low enough for a viola to reach, and even a cello can be brave enough to attempt it. =)
Envy-chan
I play the cello, and I can't find any FMA sheet music for it. Does anyone know where I can find some?
