I think Ed makes some of the funniest faces sometimes.

Then you should see the manga. There are many more and are stranger/funnier.

Yeah, I especialy like it when ppl call him short or mistake al as the full metal. HIs expression are awesomely funny.

I agree on that one, it's really hard to stop yourself from saying "cute" or even just to laugh. It always happens to me

I especially loved his expression on (spoiler) his ride to meet Izumi-sensai before the final showdown with Sloth, on the train (episode 45) when the soldiers thought he wasn't the man they're looking for, but they say he's a Midget too

It's always funny when they make fun of him though.

The manga is much better in this respect IMHO.
Ed with his dad, ed called short, ed scared of Izumi and countless other things too. ^^ and Al is so cute chibified.

And then of course he has his sad facial expressions....he makes me depressed when he looks like he is down. (down and out)

Are you sure its not the atmosphere of the anime that makes you sad? because whenever Ed is sad the atmosphere gets dark and more depressing

I love his expressions when he was transmuting stuff all around central in chapter 45! xD (both Ed and Al look funny there xDD) and especially when Winry has beaten him up again in that chatper! xDDDDD

Yeah the whole show does kind of make me teary-eyed.

I love Ed's expression when he's trying to be evil, like in the first chapter in the manga when he thinks of the "evil" plan. I reckon the things he say when people call him short and puny just adds to his expression. I love it when he dies of exasperation and turns into that ghosty thing.

Eds expressions are great in either manga or anime I think his expressions are funny when Mustang is insulting him at Central, or when Ed imitates him

Ed makes funny faces but Al's reactions are cute like when Alex Armstrong treated him like a child and his face and reaction was hilarious because no one treated him like a child before since he got the armour.

Al is very mature acting for his age:) ...he's really cool. I feel sorry for him though.

Ed has an absolutely rubber face. It's so much fun to watch him; all of his emotions come straight out, poor kid. He flails when he's irritated, grins like a slice of melon when he's happy, wilts when he's sad, and practically gives off smoke when he's angry. Even the few times you see him react to girls, he has a very specific and obvious expression (a kind of awed, slightly blushing "...oh!"). Neither he nor Al would be any great shakes at high-stakes poker. XD

yeah....I just love when ed's eyes look like he's about to kill someone for calling him short...that's so halarious.

I think his evil grin and angry faces come up most in the first volume of the manga, that's my favorite volume. Especially in the "Battle of the Train". I think that's the funniest one, when Ed woke up from his hhibernation just because someone called him shrimp.

I must agree with you all. Ed's chibi-angry faces are so adorable you just want to pick him up and huggle him. And Al's got some great faces too. I love his innocent 'i've never done anything wrong' face and the little exasperated face he makes with his armor when Ed flips out... like usual.

I must also say, as a prolific anime/manga viewer, Ed has some of the most animated facial expressions I have ever seen. A lot of manga-ka create awesome facial expressions for their various characters, but none have the depth of variety that attack Ed depending on his mood.

My favorite Ed face? When he's attacking Roy verbally. Or when he barked at Roy.... then i nearly fell out of my chair with laughter...

Me too! I think the biggest reason I fell for FMA is lil' Edo's facial expressions, cow-sensei has got a real knack for that. He's the MOST WONDERFUL FACIAL EXPRESSION MANGAKA EVER TO WALK THE EARTH! I nearly choked on the biscuit I was eating when I saw that box where Ed goes all ghostly-angry for the hijacker calling him shrimp.

My favorite, when he's fighting the guardian 48 and says "Who are you callin' to small to drink out of the toilet?!".... At least, that's what it sounded like to me and i nearly died drinking mountain dew when i heard that...

My favorite is when he's getting after the people of Liore for calling him short in the first episode and he's all like 'WHO'RE YOU CALLING A SHORTY?!?!?!?! CAN A SHORTY DO THIS?!?!?!?!' That was hilarious!

Ya in the battle of the train he kicks that one highjackers but because he was called a shrimp when he was sleeping then he asks al what just happened lol his face was funny and in one page of a book on a page that says chapter ( ok i forgot which chapter ) and it has ed looking surprised with a doughnut in his mouth ^^

Not only his own face looks funny, but also things that look like him. Like in episode 05 that strange speaker that came out of the door, and in ep 13 that stone that looked like him to distract the colonel.

It doesn't matter what it is, you'll always recognize Ed with one of his funny facial expressions.

The fact that even Al (and Barry ) can creaty expressions, is what I find funny most.

I have to admit that Izumi is sometimes good for a laugh, but most of the time, she gets on my nerves.

I loved when he's on the train. He hangs down and sticks his togue out at those men.When they look, he's not there anymore! The speaker one was awesome!

I think the first manga book has the most funniest expressions. I espeicially liked that time when they were running after making the door.... evil boy!!

(Oh and I LOOVE eds face when he breaks his automail and then goes to Winry... (espeicially in volume 8)

they have a thred about that and the have agreed that ed is 5 foot 2 in the end of the series im thinking about 5 foot 6 ( it is two years after the end of the series )
