Saturn Star: No need to be angry! They certainly like each other in the manga! There's enough evidence with the chapter 47 now but I'll consider it really canon when they'll yell out their love at each other and when they'll kiss... Okay? And I don't except Arakawa-sensei to do any sort of romance right now and I think that, even if they hook up, it will certainly not last forever. Arakawa-sensei has much more imagination than that! And for the Ed/Alter!Rose thing, I didn't say they are in love only because they're holding hand on the pic, I just traduced the kanji wrong, so excuse me if I scared you with my bad japanese grammar.



It's off topic but I want to say Yaoi fans can dream, right? Anyway, all yaoi fanfics out there are about the anime so no need to point the all Ed/Roy thing when we're talking about the manga!

I love the pairing, but if they got married in the movie that'd just be... wrong. However, if Ed came back and Roy and Riza were engaged, or something, that'd actually be okay.

Hey in chapter 48 when winry's leaving, does anyone know what al meant when he said "Ah youth, Brother your like a teenager!" I never quite got what he meant by that.

Yeah it was pretty much Al teasing him. Some translated it as "the love of the youth" or something like that.

I pray they have something between Ed/Winry in the movie! I just saw the trailer last month with Ed fighting Envy as that green dragon, Al's new hairdo, (personationg Ed is he? Lol) Ed's new plastic hand slid over his automail, the other Al, Ed in his usual outfit....and yeah. They MUST have Winry in there at least! Funny how Winry now looks like Riza, (sp?) but Ed/Winry must be in HERE at least since they made their relationship dry in the anime.

Maybe their relationship is dry in the anime becuz they want people to look for the clues to figure it out themselves...or something. Or just becuz this anime they want more to be focused on the Philosopher's stone and Alchemy. I know I am wrong, don't tell me, but the manga is surely more obvious.

From all that's said and known, Ed/Winry are 99% together, only cuz the thing they need to do now to upgrade that percent is admit to themselves, BOTH of 'em, and confess to each other. There's no debate over whether they like each other or not. It's obvious they do. THEY DO. Nobody blushes around their brother or sister, or makes a big sheepish deal over nothing if they're just close in a "sibling"-way. So saying they are more brother and sister is out.

Yeah, that KANJI character didn’t mean like teenage hormones like the translators thought it did, it sort of meant passing that stage… in where Ed has fallen in love (Hard to explain). Something like that anyway.

Ok, my view:
Yes the less Shojo(girly-romance)& more Shonen(action-stuff boys like) anime style is a good idea,
But I would love to see something, just a bigger hint to a few couples (not saying who!).
Al (older human) and Ross would seem good to me. I don't think Al wants
to marry his mom, he's not that messed up(is he?). Mustang/Hawkeye
I can see but (Raised Military) the laws of all military are as follows:
No one can legaly date/fornicate/marry a Senior Officer with out one of them leaveing service or dealing with a court marshal and being forced from service. (If this didn't happen, you'd date for rank which is bad.)

I don't see Al/Winry working out. He was rejected once (Manga, brife mention in anime) and I dont think she realy conects with him that way (body or not.).
She knew Ed first (oldest, What year was Winry born?) and she works very close to him with the automail. She's like breathing on his neck and he's all got that look like thats his imagination time for "brain porno". (brain porno is imagined without physical use of stuff and what not. It is healthy and legal in all 5000 states.) Also in "Be thou for the people" Ed states that he wished Winry would think of his "human parts" more offten (or once in a while, one of the 2.)
They conect on a level that even if Al never became a soul in armor they'd never have.

I noticed that Roy "played" with Ed's head in the first few episodes when he goes on missions and stuff. I couldn't see them together from the anime but the pictures are just hot! I love Ed (not uber fan-person!) and Roy has black hair (turn ons: black hair, deep soul seeing eyes, ie ROY!) so its a double does of yummy in fan fics and fan art.
I love guy/guy, girl/girl, guy/girl, chimera/spoon, whatever have you pairings in fan fics. chimera/spoon? I need coffe.
Homunculus with homunculus? hm, not realy a big fan of this, but I can toy with the idea a bit *fan fic ideas brew* But i realy like Envy/Ed because they could fight while hooking up. Mmm... from all these manga/anime that I've read and seen, I think the Japanese people are big on childhood friends. Whenever you start a story and you have the typical "childhood friends" between a guy and girl, then 70% (or more) of the time, they'll go into a romantic relationship. That depends on the type of story, of course. Generally, this is also what I expect and if that doesn't happen, I usually feel about the outcome.

Oh man there's so much posts!!! @_@ Well this is what I think... the mangaka intended it to be EDWIN. Why? Think about it! Look at all the little clues and stuff. And just because it's shonen, it doesn't mean the characters will not fall in love. I know other shonen titles that have canon pairing (Rave, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, Bleach <-- Well it's implied. Oh common everyone knows there's something going on between RukiaXIchigo and IshidaXOrihime and MomoXHitsugaya. It' there. You don't even have to look hard)

One thing I do know is that I don't want ed and winry to go all googoogaga over each other. That would be jsut stupid. I would be satisfied if they just showed each other that they really care for each othr, no words needed. (I can't imagine ed saying anything)

Well, I agree with whoever said this, Ed will probably never say that he loves Winry, well, I have'nt read the manga, so I dont know.
Oh, and for those who have trouble finding the manga, go to an older barnes & noble, the older the plae, theres a better chance of them having it there. If you dont know any local barnes an noble, then go to a local borders. What confuses me the most at times is why dont comic book stores contain them at times?
... I dont have anything else to say, I think

Most comic stores don't carry them because there is small demand (in grants pass anyway) and they are small bedroom/meddum bathroom sized places. Plus i never have the money to buy them and (as i said before) they'd only have 1,3,4,7,9,10,12...ect. or 1,3,9, 22,...ect. the second is more likly.
Also, We don't have book sotres in my town and I have to walk everywhere!
Sucks more is the local liberary has mangas/graphic novales, but no FMA.
