Hey, I'm new, but I love EdXWin. I read all the chapters and 48 has to be my favorite one! At first, I was a fair believer, but now, that is half-cannon, the moment I read that, I kept screaming so loud, that my mom had to shut me up. (literally)

My favorites parts were when in Chapter 47 (where the spark starts to really fly) is when Ed says "Pathetic...I made her cry again." Not to mention, the upset look.

All the moments had me so happy.

When King Bradly a.ka. Wrath, was in the room conversing with Winry before Ed and Al came in, and as he passed Ed, he said something of, "She's a nice, honest girl. Treat her well". Wow. Is like everybody knew in some way. How he caught that conclusion, I would never now. (probably that eye...)

And of course, the train station scene. From the moment when they started saying goodbye, to when Winry declared what she felt. "I...might have fallen for him, a long time ago." Or something like that.

And the Scar action. The whole moment was sweet. Especially when Ed blocked her from Scar like that. (and he gave her the jacket)

Hope I didn't spoil anything, cause, everyone was talking about it. ;

Lol! I think all the EdxWin fan screams... Now we are left to wonder what's going to happen next... if anything does. At least their next meeting will be something to look forward... I just wonder if Winry is going to take this as the quiet sort of love where she respects him more and merely doesn't do much to act upon it. Or where she will want to reach out with him and be with him? Maybe we can expect a confession... but I do doubt it somewhoe *Sigh*

Any predictions peeps on what will happen next between them next time the meet?

I predict... cold... hard... depressing... nothingness... winry may somehow reveal her secret and Ed may start to realise she has feelings, but I don't think anyhting will be done about it. What do you all think?

I think that once Ed and Winry realize how they feel about each other, there's a chance of them having a small moment. But it's NOT going to change into some all out mushy love story. While I like couples, I like the action too. But yeah, just a small moment would work for me! Seriously though, if Hellsing of ALL mangas can have TWO kissing scenes (and there's a possibility of more), then I don't see why FMA can't have at LEAST one (though I'd love to see two, one for EdWin and the other for Royai).

Hellsing probably DEFINES shonen action manga/anime. The central character is this insanely powerful vampire named Alucard (try spelling it backwards ). Also, it has this girl with basketball boobs and wears this miniskirt (she's a vampire too). It contains sooooo much graphic violence and action that there's more of that going on than actual dialogue. It rocks though! The anime does too! Alucard is hott, but not pretty hott. He's very scruffy and gritty, but he has his fangirl admirers (including myself).

And I hope Winry doesn't change into a damsel in distress as well. She's such a strong young and intelligent young woman though, that I think she could get herself out of a thing or two if Arakawa wanted it (hoping she does because she has a lot of brave and admireable ladies in the manga).

Don't worry. I think from Arakawa-sensei, and the way she places the manga, we won't be getting such a drastic character change. I mean, she has proven herself to know what to do before, and also she won't all of a sudden be making a love story. It just won't be like her. I'm thinking just by proving of EdXWinry for all the readers to get it, and to satisfy us as right, it's fine. No need to go overboard. Though, I do expect a few things from the future, at least. Not big, but something small that will give us a better view of the future after the manga ends. Same with RoyXRiza.

I don't know if it's love, but it certainly is a comfort level. I have a guy friend that dresses while we're in the same room together. I GUESS we're just friends, but others think we'll probably end up dating. We're in that "comfortable but akward" stage according to them.

Yeah, if we get a tiny scene I will be satisfied... I just doubt anything will go on apart from the usualy hints we get. Ed won't admit it that's for sure, and I really can't see Winry confessing either...

But Edo wears some kind of black spandex undies under those boxers. Or at least in the official anime pics I've seen. And Sheska also walked in on him when he was in his boxers and that didn't seem to bother him much(anime). I kinda feel bad for Al though, he actually wants a girl but Edo doesn't even think about it.

I also hope for a little scene. Better than nothing, I'd say. And I feel a bit stupid for this quote, but "Actions speak louder than words". If we do not get a confession, which I don't doubt at all, there's probably the action that can spell it for us. Hug, head on shoulder, etc. For EdXWin, we need this, because their actions is where we get most of the hints, whether it be facial expressions or movements of the body. Or at least in my view.

Yes, Ed shows his boxers in front of Winry, and by the looks of it, it means nothing to them. No, nervousness or any of that sort. Extreme comfort level. Still, I had never seen a guy in his boxers prancing around inside my house.

Al has to get a girl sometime. Whether it be now or we might never see it, he is getting one. He won't stay single forever.

Now, about this thing of Ed and Winry thinking of each other as bro and sis and other topics discussed. I haven't had much of a chance to get my word in and stuff, so don't mind that it's behind. I want to express opinion too.

1. They are not really related. They grew up together and the bond they make while growing is what makes them like brother and sister.

That is the real meaning of it. They are more like childhood friends with that definition. If they cross that line of caring, loving, and protecting like your related and platonic, is nothing bad. It kind of represents incest, but it is not incest in its most nor is it true. Thus, there is nothing wrong.

They don't share families and bloodline.

Besides, if that does happen, they didn't really think of each other as bro and sis deep down in the first place IMO.

Think of each other as brother/sister broken in the manga, by Winry. All we need is Ed's point of view and we're good to go.

I'm not saying that it's total BS, it does have its point, but it's not to take seriously, and I can tolerate this one, cause it does make a sense. This could place many arguments and is hard to think about. Thing is, they are not related. As long as that remains true, nothing could happen. And same thing for AlXWinry fans. If they think this of Ed, why not Al too? Yet, they think is right. Which comes to another thing.

2. Personality.
They keep saying that Al is kind, and has a good personality, and show he cares, has reasoning, and yada, yada, yada, yada. Which shows, that he is capable of settling down with Winry or a girl. OH! But no, not Ed, because he doesn't think of it, is a lone wolf, travels too much, has too many goals, and because of this and many more, we cannot see him with a girl. This goes to his fans, who are mostly female, and I do not know why doesn't that fit them too, unles your a cross dresser.

First of all, Ed is human. HUMAN. Not only that, he's a MAN or BOY or whatever you want to call it, with HORMONES. He will be attracted to the opposite gender and you saw it, for those who paired him up with someone else for their reasons. And no, yaoi don't count.

The only goals he has is to get his and Al's body back and track the philosopher stone. What then? When he accomplishes his goal, what is he is going to do? SETTLE DOWN. The only reason he's traveling is for that specific reason, and his lone wolf attitude is not exactly true. He doesn't want to put anyone else in danger, not to mention, that he can't trust anyone, not even the military, with the activities going on around him. People even say that to him.

Once all this is over, wouldn't he want to start a family and live peacefully? Or to only watch his brother living that life only, and he's is in God knows where, while Al is happy, and raising his children.

That's unfair, and terrible, terrible reasoning.

3. Fangirls- Don't want to go there. I love Ed and all, but.... Unless you get animated or through some weird seizure Ed comes to life, you won't be touching him except in your imaginations and fanfics. So, it's better to let them dream.

If there are things I missed, I don't even want to know. Cause other than #1, everything else is crap. I know people will disagree and I'm gonna get flames, but whatever. Just don't judge me by this.

hm...to be honest, I'm not that big of a supporter of EdXWinry. They're friends, not lovers. I mean, if there's a decent fanfiction out there with them in it, sure I'll read but c'mon. If you look at Ed in the series, he's much too independent for anyone right now. And with all this other military, save the world crap he has to deal with, he just doesn't have time. I don't like the thought of him being alone forever ^^; Everyone needs someone right? But now, for Ed, would tie him down. However, it might change in the movie, since it's 2 years later and he has matured some. We can only hope.

I think people are forgetting that this is about the MANGA. The story in the manga becomes unrelated to the anime. And like it or not, it's fluttered with a LOT more EdWin canon stuff that's been building as the chapters go on (or this thread wouldn't be 26 pages) . Their relationship has a different feel in the manga than the anime to me.

And as I've said before, if Kim and Ron from Kim Possible can hook up, then EdWin can just as easily happen (or at least something hinting at feelings being there) so that "can't date childhood friends" arguement is null and void. Heck, I dated a childhood friend and I didn't find anything at all strange about it.

That was so kawaii! Also in chapter 47 it had EdxWin moments too. There's nothing wrong with dating a childhood friend. In my opinion the best couple relationships start out as friendships.

Everyone who likes Ed with Roy, or wants ed to themselves will have to get over the fact that it is more plausible than any thing else. Before you had an upper hand because there wasn't strong hard evidence (although anyone with eyes could see they thought of eachother a little more than friends)

But now that we have a confession, it's still not canon. Help us!
