I see Ed/Winry more than Ed/Rose becuase they seem close in the anima, but plot development must be bette rin the manga. One day I shall buy it One day, but until then I will be here watching and waiting.

I think Dante just makes those comments about Ed and Rose to throw off Ed and to get into his head.

*shrugs* I don't see why Ed couldn't have been attracted to Rose. I love EdWin (heck, I'm writing the 100 Themes for it!), but in real life, people are often tempted in other directions or torn between two people, especially when they're not in an established relationship yet. I definitely believe Ed and Winry are a great match, but it's unrealistic to expect them to be as faithful as swans at this age. Give it a few years. XD

Hey I can actually see edwin together... well not as a romantic couple, but the type that would be there to support each other through friendship. well ed doesnt always express his feelings. But they both are comfortable around each other and are like... best friends XD That's the best kind of love.... companiate love. hehe.

Anyway i think the reason why ed doesn't want a girlfriend or want to be closer to winry (yet) is because of his bro. The thing i love about ed is that he puts his family first After he gets his bro out of that armor, he'll probably settle down a little.

I think that whether they get together or not, they are much better looking together and the idea of them is cuter than EdRose because of their personalities. Rose is just so...blah and boring. Ed could like Rose too I suppose, but he may not be thinking about Winry in that way because he hasn't allowed himself to quite yet. Winry's too pretty to go admirerless (if that's a word) for too long though I think.

I don't think they'll be a focal point in the movie though. He's going to be too busy trying to find his way back and once he's back, I just see things being the same way they are.

^^well, i guess peoples opinions are based off either the Anime or the Manga, so it depends how you look at it, really....

im not an EdWin fanatic, but i really like this pairing...^^ it's not as straight-forward like other pairings, and there's that uncertanty (i guess you could say) of whether they'll get together or not, which keeps the reader guessing....
as for me,(and going by the manga), i think it will be Ed/Win (as i've mentioned before) if not now, then eventually. However, for Ed, restoring Al is obviously top priority for him right now-(as well as restoring his own body), and Winry understands the importance of this, of course. (btw sorry if i sound repetitive from my previous post..)
reading the manga, it seems their bond/relationship is more than that of 'just friends'...(there's EdWin evidence in the manga quite abit), but i'm giving my opinion based on what i've seen/read in the manga...well, that's how i interpreted it......

...and this Ed/Rose thing, i can never see that happening-(but then again i haven't seen the Anime). coz you see, in the manga, Rose is only in like the first two (or three) chapters, and during this, there isn't even a hint at all of them showing any affection or whatever towards each other...and she hasn't showed up in the manga since (sorry to seem blunt, but that's how i see it) XP

I just watched the trailer again, how did I miss Ed with that girl.

That girl, who looks too much like the back of Rose for my heart to cope with.

I think if you really read the manga it hints very strongly that there are feelings between Ed and Winry (and I'm just looking at reality folks, fangirls stop lying to yourselves.) In the manga Ed constantly says about Winry.. 'Not pretty, not sexy, not even the most mildly attractive'. He says that when he’s mad at her. *Rolls eyes*. Isn’t that a hint. Also, someone once asked Ed if Winry was his girlfriend and Ed’s nose began to bleed. I admit he did say ‘I don’t want a girlfriend.’ But you could look at that as self denial. *Wiggles eyebrows* Nose bleed! Come on.

And just watching the manga progress it hints at it even more strongly that there are emotions there. Like Winry said at first she would never like anyone thats shorter than her.. but at like manga 44 or 45 (cant remember) Winry comments that Ed is maturing greatly (actually translated as ‘his back is getting bigger‘) and she realizing that he’s growing into a man. Her reaction to this seemed might suspicious.. I mean, unless the author is really trying to screw with our heads, they have put a lot of foreshadowing into it.

Ok with the anime series.

Now the series makes it pretty damn obvious that Winry likes Ed. Why? Well I'm not going to spoil it for people who haven’t seen the whole thing. But please don’t be idiot denial female or male who refuse to believe another girl could like Ed @_@. If she really was just thinking Ed was her ‘brother’ than trust me she wouldn’t blush all the time! I have never blushed with my guy friends.

Is it possible for Ed to like Rose? Well I have toyed with this one for awhile. If I relate it to my own experiences I think Ed does have the hots for Rose, but emotional connection I don’t think so. In the end I wouldn’t be surprised if Ed and Winry did fall for each other. Hey Ed's a kid, he can have a crush on Rose all he wants. But the series does put a lot of back bone into Winry. Well, a lot more backbone than they did with Rose at least.

In the movie will it actually happen?

I absolutely dread anime movies. I find anime creators often like to toy with our emotions, play with our heads. My personal opinion is they probably wont put Ed with anyone. I did notice a female character in the movie preview and who knows, maybe the creators do want to toy with our hearts and have Ed fall in love with someone new.. But I am still aiming at no one or they will hint towards Ed and Winry.

Winry will be in the movie.. And oh my gosh, SO WILL ED! So who knows.

Of course this is all observations and personal opinions. Please don’t hurt me.

One of my fave moments in the manga is when Ed is carrying Winry and he mutters that she is not the least bit attractive. Of course he would, there is a girl in a mini skirt with her legs wrapped round him (his arm supporting her is in a rather amusing angle as well).

*Sigh* Yea I have been reading more and more about the Rose look alike. Man.. I'm sorry. But I do strongly dislike Rose. Its mainly because of her lack of common sense.

More and more I grow doubts about the Winry And Ed paring when I see trailers and such. But then again.. Lets say Ed does 'fall' for a Rose in the new world. Do you really think Ed is going to stay in the new world if Al finds him a way home? Its very possible that Ed might become good friends with 'Rose' but Al is obviously desperately trying to get him back *crosses fingers* I hope that means something.

I hope Winry actually is in the movie (more than a little obligatory appearance, I mean.) They haven't mentioned or shown her once in any of the trailers or articles, that I know of. Winry's cute, I think she'd make a good match for Ed or Al. I just never got into the EdWin pairing that much. Guess I'm just more of a shounen-ai fangirl. On the whole, however, I can't really picture any particular romantic entanglement getting a lot of attention in the movie. I like to speculate about pairings as much as anyone else, but in practical terms, FMA just isn't that...well...shoujo-ish. A big romance would seem a little out of place. I could be wrong, though. The director did hint at something, but that could mean virtually anything at this point.

Oh yeah, on a sidenote, if there turns out to be something between Ed and Roze in the movie, I am seriously gonna cry. Damsel-in-distress type characters make me sick.

Finally people with sense. Then again, this girl may not be Rose (probably is but...). So for now I shall try not to work myself up and carry on with my Ed/Win evidence finding in the manga.

I know Ed and Winry are most likely made for each other but I haven't seen alot of evidence(bbesides the ones in the anime so far.) so I'm still looking.

I thought of an interesting twist (but I know it won't happen). They hinted that Al has some "love" scenes. I am not sure which Al they are talking about, but Since Al makes himself to look like Ed maybe Winry falls for Al. If and When Ed comes back it could be a really dicey situation for the three. I know that sounds like the making of a interesting fanfiction!

Manga No 7: ‘I’ll have to go to my mechanic’, notice he is only referring to Winry and not Pinako

Manga No 8: He’s specific with what Winry can do.

Manga No 9: I don’t even want to know why Winry feels she has to pull down her overalls to reveal her tube top before she sees Ed to throw something at him. Ultimately she has a beaming smile on her face

Yet she will do all she can to help him out, and he apologises for asking so much of her (what? Ed apologises?)

Aw bless the flirting that could also be seen as insulting one another.

Winry knows Ed, calling him a dummy and having a rather caring look on her face. She is content to watch him sleep.

In my mind, he couldn’t face saying goodbye to Winry so he wanted her to stay in bed. He gets that uncomfortable look on his face and can’t look at her when he waves goodbye. She is smiling again.

BTW: That is a big t-shirt. If it wasn’t for Ed’s height I’d say it was his. : P

Manga No 13: Again, he knows her well (he knows there will be a lot of screaming)
