Aren't there already more evidence in the manga than the anime?

That's what I've noticed anyway... Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm a manga!EdxWin fan instead of anime!EdxWin fan?

So Yebyosh was the only translator to get that 'big back' meaning correct in Chp 44? He said it as "Ed's becoming more mature" or something...

My intepretation of "big back" is referring to a man who shoulders a lot responsibilities. So in a way, yes, it does mean Ed has matured.

In the case of ch. 44, Winry suddenly realized how much older Ed has become. (from the boy she knew to the man she now knows.) How did Yebyosh phrase it exactly? I didn't get a chance to read his translated version...

Or around the lines of that.....
I definately believe that there is evidence! (Too bad they can't animate this arc! It would have been soo cool!!!!!)

I am a hardcore EdWin fan. I am seriously obsessed with this pairing. And as much as I want them to end up together (which I really don't want them to end up. Why? It isn't really fun when people end up together because . . . all the fun goes away and I won't be able to support it anymore), I don't think they will end up together.

And I think they will end up together. As I have said before they may not show them getting together but the movie may have a aconclusion that shows Ed settled with Winry. But thats just my opinion. I'm not going to go into any evidence as I have already many times.

Why do I support Edward and Winry?

Well, I'm those type of person who hates to be in romantic relationships in real life, but likes to be obsessed with relationships in animes.

I tend to support the main male and female characters. But not all the time (like in Tales of Symphonia, I support Lloyd and Sheena, but I don't support Lloyd and Colette at all. Colette isn't really cool, IMO).

But it also depends on how much I like the characters. And I really like Winry a lot (I like shoujo-ai, dislike shonen-ai, and that's where I take a liking to Winry. I'm not bisexual/a lesbian though ).

And, well, yeah. O_o

The sad thing is, you don't grow out of it.

I think I only ever liked one overt relationship and that was Sakura and Li. Even in Tsubasa we know its there but not much has happened.

Well Shardy, looks like you got your wish. Some people have managed to string more then two words to explain why they like this pairing. Good to see I suppose, gives me faith that my language hasn't been completely battered and that there is clever people out there.

I think this should be merged with the original EdXwin.

The movie is about Ed trying to get home basically. There is obviously alot more to it than that.

I believe I'm going to have to review my Ed/Win. Not to change my mind of course, but now I have to take into account what occurs in the manga. There is so much for me to go on there.

Well, I support EdxArmony BECAUSE and here's the reason..... firstly, he has SOOOO much concern for her that he practically follows her around just to make sure she is safe. Secondly, he becomes a softy and actrally teaches her alchemy. Thirdly, he risks his LIFE to save her troughout the ENTIRE game. I mean seriously, he could of just left her alone and just tried to look for the professor himself. Fourthly, SHE was going to write WAY more than what was going to be said in that letter. In the end of that letter she said something like "I'd also like to say, oh it's getting too noisy in here i think I'll just stop here". oooooo damn she was probably going to say that she LOVES him. Fifthly, Roy said when he was giving te letter to Ed "Here, it's a LOVE letter from Armony". Sixthly, he cried soooo much for her after her death. Seventh, he STILL remembers her after her death that OTHER people remind him of her. 8th (don't know how to spell it), the entire time during the game it seems as if all the arguing was just "fun" and they were actrally flirting. Nineth, armony always calls his name first all the time. Tenth, she wanted Edward to protect her. Eleventh, I could think of more but my brain if fried like chicken. KFC! heh heh.

Right, this isn't to critasize what you are saying, but you have come into my Ed/Win world and must pay the price.

Firstly: Of course he would, he may not seem it but Ed is a caring person for those who need caring for.
Secondly: So does Izumi for Ed and Al....she doesn't love them in that aspect.
Thirdly: He risks his life to save Winry from Barry the Chopper when he could have just told the military what was going on.
Fourthly: That would mean she likes him, not necessarily vice-versa.
Fifthly: Roy teases Ed, they all do when it comes to Winry (manga).
Sixthly: Well thank God he cried, he has emotions doesn't he? He cried for Nina too, and I don't even want to think of his reaction if he lost someone closer.
Seventh: As tends to happen when you have lost someone.
Eight: Its not like his fighting with Winry is malicious, it could easily be seen as flirting.
Ninth: If you mean when she's calling for help she calls him first, so does Winry when she calls for them.
Tenth: Because you would turn down the opportunity to be looked after?

Sorry, I wasn't trying to argue to cause a fight, I am merely pointing out that this is and Ed/Win topic and shall keep it as such by fighting back peoples suggestions of other relationships. Please forgive me

I personally think Ed/Armony is cute, then again I'm biast to all redheads anyway (after all, I am one). XD Unfortunately, the most you can really get fanfic-wise is PWPs as they don't know each other very long. Is it possible for them to fall in love? Maybe...but Ed is too busy focusing on other issues, that he really doesn't have time to contemplate on such a complicated emotion. Now, there is no doubt that he cares for Armony, but as Chiyo said, Ed is a caring guy.

I'm not shooting your theory down or anything. Ed could love her, could not. It's all up to speculation. It's just that Ed is more likely to fall in love with Winry than with Armony.

These are all good evidence that Armony had a crush on Ed. They say nothing about what he felt.



These are all good examples of Ed's tendency to care about others. He showed the same tender care for Nina, and I think if she had lived to be older and shown talent for alchemy, he and Al would have taught her alchemy too. Ed remembers and feels sorrow for all the deaths he encounters. He even wept for Greed, and Greed was a cruel homonculus who kidnapped his brother. I can see him being an "older brother" to Armony, but it just doesn't seem like he was attracted to her, or even knew her long enough to truly love her. Real love takes time, and that's what Winry's got on her side.

Its not that people can't support these couples, its just easy to beat back most arguements. Sadly yes that does include Ed/Win...but dammit I will stick by this couple no matter what people may say.

I'm not obsessed that Ed and Win have to be a couple but it's a bit blatent they like each other more than friends that I want to actually see them as a couple

Right, here is my theory....

Before, they were discussing why Winry turned Ed down when they were little (notice how heartbroken he is ). She said its because he was small.

Now, as they are becoming adults, she notices he is growing. Once he is taller then her...she no longer has an excuse not to marry him.

I think they should get together, but without tragedy, their would be no story, So they'll probably never be together.

I think there is more evidence in the manga especially when Ed comforts her instead of just standing there like in the anime .
