Yes, those boots... I think Ed's the only one that makes those things look good. And that antenna is both lethal as well as a convenient height-enhancer. ^__~ Bet he takes special care of that lock. Where would his height be without it, huh?

oo~h, do i see a AlxWinry thread starting? hehehe...

anyway, i like winryxed... they keep each other on their toes and their moments in the manga are just so... well, tender. especially when Ed came to comfort Winry after returning from Mrs. Hughes's house in chapter 34. It didn't feel platonic though. It was like both of them reaching to each other for comfort in their own small and silent ways.

winry understands Ed and Al more and her innocence and determination comforts them and grounds them back from whatever trauma they had just experienced. for short, she feels more "homey" in the manga than in the anime.

Yeah... Anime-Winry seems a bit pushy. The way she just busts into an episode or scene, when she wasn't even supposed to be there if you followed the manga. It seems odd to see her there. They try (EdxWinry) as you can see in the episode after following the Barry the Chopper episode. It just doesn't seem right.

yeah, i hate to admit it but Winry IS kinda pushy in the anime. she feels so out of place sometimes. And it feels like the people of Bones are just trying to squeeze her into the story. Arakawa-sensei didn't have to go to such lengths though. manga-winry's importance was effortless there compared to the anime-winry.

I agree that she definatly represents a sence of home and safty for both Al and Ed which quite frankly pisses me off a little bit. The women in this series fall into the most traditional of steriotypes. *grump* I mean there are groups of women now waiting at home and all of the men go off and have adventures. The girls JOB is to home for th boys. Though I will say I got a little teary eyed when I watched the episode where Winry flashed the light in the house for them to come home. *tear* I don't mind if SOME of the characters represent the more traditional female roles, but every single one seems to fall into that catagory.

Anyway, I think that is why so little has happened so far between Ed and Winry, because each of them are confused about their changing realtionship. It is not longer like they are siblinings anymore. They want something more but are afraid of wanting it and afraid of having it because after all it would change everything.

Okay those are my two cents. . .

well I think Al should get with Rose. Rose seems like a very traditional girl who needs someone strong to protect her and stuff... Al seems perfect because he's really sweet and everything... Ed was just harsh when he first met Rose and remeber that in real life, as much as we don't like prejudice, first immpressions are everything.

Ed and Winry do seem to have something going on in both anime and manga and I will say that I like the couple. Their relationship seems a bit more like siblings but I think in end Winry is the only girl that could really understand Ed and I KNOW that a lot of people say that Ed's on a different level than Winry and that she just doesn't understand him but the truth of the matter is... out of everyone else she understands him 'best' because if Winry is on a different level with Ed, would it really be fair to say that somebody who didn't know about his past would? That person male or female just wouldn't get the level of understanding that Winry has had for so long now... she knew his mother, she was there when he first did alchemy, she was there when his mother died and she was there when he tried to ressurect his mother, she was there to experience his emotions when he lost his brother's body... she knew he was killing himself over it that one night and no matter what, some things you just have to 'be' there for. In the anime it's not shown but in the manga she tells him to call before waltzing on down to Rizenbul to get his arm fixed or whatever and when he comes uninvited, she doesn't even complain about how she might have to do another customer's automail to make or something like that. He just says "make me a new arm" and she stayed up all night doing it. Out of all the other girls in this show, Winry would understand Ed and all the stuff he does the best.

What I personally think is that Ed and Winry should NOT get together because they look more like siblings to me. But heck, it's anime, so my guess is that eventually they're going to be together. Not in the end of the series, though... probably the movie?? (What's the movie gonna be about anyway? Is it possible the search for their original bodies will continue??)
