The notion of EdxWinry is cute, but I like the way its playing out similar to RoyxRiza...because there is so much drama going on, there really isn't time for romance. Therefore, the hints are there, but they aren't obvious.
That's what I like about the relationships in this series, the love is there but they make you look for it.

@Fresh_Coffee: I've read some of the Edward/Winry fanfictions on Fanfiction.net , but its only been a few. I have a hard time finding good E/W fanfictions .

I am also an Ed/Winry supporter but I like how the romance is more subtle (same with Riza and Roy). But even if they didn't get together I would still be okay with that. My favorite relationship is Ed and Al's love as brothers. Plus I love the brother's relationship with Pinako/Winry, the military, Izumi, etc. It is sweet how even though they don't have a real family or home they kind of still have an extended family looking out for them. And sorry if I kind of moved this a little off topic. But I do enjoy the Winry/Ed moments, especially the "tough love" Winry shows Ed.

I suppose it's a matter of what you're looking for and how you look at things. I've noticed pretty blatant hints but that might just be the fact that I'm pretty rabid about couplings once I make my mind about one. Wether or not Ed and Winry's relationship reaches fruition by the manga's end is questionable (Damn the Japanese and their brilliantly subtle relationships!) but the potential is there.

As for Al/Win, it's pretty obvious that he probably had a crush on her at one point. I don't see it developing past Winry seeing him as a younger brother. Never know though... She IS into 'heavy metal'.

I really don't think Ed would want to stay single for the rest of his days. His quest obviously takes priority over a lot of things including women, but once that's taken care of I could easily see him settling down and enjoying all the things he missed because of the constant travel. In the end I think all Ed really wants is to live his life the way he used to with Al.

Al definately has something for Winry... but Winry just treats him as younger brother.....

I don't think Winry would develope feelings for Al like she would Edward.

Let's see my official feeling on pairings in FMA. Well I'm all for the Win Ed pairing. I tend to think of the pair of them like a love/hate kinda thing. I can't imagine that the two of them would ever be lovey dovey, I can see them butting heads, I can see her pulling out the chainsaw every now and then. But that's just their characters. The pair of them like to be in charge of everything, so having them be in a relationship other than just friends is gonna be one hell of a growth spurt(pardon the pun) for old Ed and Win.

Now the Roy Riza pairing is pretty much stamped on every page, how anyone could miss it is beyond me. I think I understand why it is that they tend to keep this thing quiet. The biggest reason is that Roy is Riza's superior officer, bascially if they ever did get involved in the open they would both be up for a pair of court martials. Which I guess why he enjoys it so much, Roy strikes me as the kind of guy that doesn't go for the easy relationship(though he does enjoy them...). Riza also strikes me as the kind of woman, who does know that she's in love with him, but is also driven to see that he gets his dream. Which basically is my way of saying I'm all for the pairing, but I don't think it's gonna go any further until he has the power to pardon himself. In other words, when he becomes fuhrer(I can't for the life of me figure out how to spell that.).

As for the Win Al pairing, I'd really have to stretch my imagination on that one. I can see them as really good friends, but anything more than that would be on the far fetched realm of possiblity. Especially considering I don't think Al has ever hinted at the possibility of him liking her as more than a friend. To me it seems as if Al sees Win as a big sister or this cousin that comes over all the time. Anyways...I just don't see it happening.

All this being said, I'm fairly certain someone will disagree with me. As for the yaoi pairings...I have only one reaction to that. Ewww.... To me that is really stretching it. I think I shall stop here for now.

I just want some closure from the anime.. which I think we'll get in the manga.
