It's like a main explication of the main story of it.

So, I really think that the writer will put a mention to it before the end of the serie. Also, this explain the reasons why the 5 opening put hints and why the fanservice of the PSgames of the serie did it too. FMA can't put those evidence in garbage. In the same time, I'm like the ones who can't wait to see how the writer will do the end of the story ! The wait is really hard !

@Winry Rockbell~ I think they are a rather cute pairing. I like the concept art of Ed as Pride.. it's been a long term dream of mine for BONES to randomly make an feature length animation and or 13 episode ova, for Bluebird's Illusion, just for giggles. Yes.. still keeping canon's intact, no fanyaoi, but taking in the ideas of the concepts of Ed working directly in Central> alternate endings> Pride.

Ummm... *sheepish* I know EdWin Day was a week ago, but...better late than never, right?? xD Disasterpiece, I sorta had you in mind when I made this EdWin Day tribute thingy. We both seem to like EdWin angst a lot, lol. xD

Oh, and to those of you who've read the latest spoilers...ED HAS HIS ARM BACK I KNEW HE'D GET IT BACK YESSSSS!! Now all he needs to do is get back his brother and his leg, and all WE have to do is HOPE AND PRAY THAT THOSE TWO BLOCKHEAD BROTHERS WON'T PULL AN ANIME1 ON US GAAAAHHHH How do you think this will affect EdWin? I'm feeling veeerrry hopeful about Ed fulfilling his promise to Winry.

BTW, does anyone else think it's awesome that Ed still has the scars from his automail surgery? I feel so proud of myself for including that in my fanfiction, and knowing that Arakawa did it too.

I think it's the perfect happy medium, in that he does have his arm back, symbolizing redemption, but the weight and the meaning of everything he's been through is still there in his scars. It's perfect. Just the way I'd hoped it would be.

About the new chapter, I'm glad that in a very indirect way Winry had her hand in there when Ed strugled to attack father with his arm. I knew that in chap 106 wouldn't be the end of his arm!! xD

^ She really is talented. But, she's one of those artists that really likes to portray the sexual tension aspect of Edward and Winry's relationship, where as I have always liked more innocent, "just two kids who are starting to fall in love" kind of side to it.

I just found a really wonderful EdWin artist, and all of her pictures capture the "two kids who are starting to fall in love" side of it really well, I think. I'm like you, Hagaren. I like to keep my pairings sweet, simple and relatively innocent.

and ed obviously loves her and she obviously loves him
but none of them would ever admit it to each other
so what happens in my fic is al brings them together with his one little devious ways
lol, I think that's what would end up happening, either that or winry would confess to love.

@ rosieechan - Aww, thanks! I'm happy you liked my ficlet! And WOW those are some awesome links! (They made me go on another faving spree, lol!) Those last two comics are just hilarious... xD And I've seen those AMVs before, but I never get tired of watching them 'cause they're so awesome. <3

@ Chiyo - EdWin's not going to die anytime soon. Not on my watch. It's too awesome for that!

Besides, (Warning! Series Final Spoiler ahead! --->) it's officially OFFICIALLY canon at last! We can't let the pairing die when we have so much to celebrate about it!

Ed x Winry - Fix You

The first time I heard this song, my mind immediately went to Ed and Winry and how un-typical their love story is. If there's one thing I adore about it, it's that it's more than teenage hormones and "hey, we're both good-looking! It MUST be Twoo Wuv! Let's randomly hook up!" And though some might see it as the usual cliche of best-friends-becoming-more, Arakawa's crafted it in such a thoughtful, refreshing way that the "cliche" label couldn't be farther from the truth. There's so many different facets to it. Yes, she throws wrenches at him and they bicker a lot, and he has to recite the periodic table to calm himself down when he thinks of her... xD And it's adorable and hilarious and deliciously awkward...but there's so much more underneath all that.

When he burns down the past in the name of making a future, she will salvage the memories worth keeping.

When he has no home and no light to pierce the darkness, she will give him hers.

When he won't listen to reason, she will knock some sense into him.

When he leaves, she will wait for his return.

When he stumbles, she will hold him steady.

When he breaks, she will fix it and forge it stronger.

When he refuses to cry, she will wash his pain in her own tears.

When he cannot love himself, she will.

And when he finally conquers the odds, she will be there to banish the last lingering shadow from his heart and whisper: "You're free."

(And when he offers her half his life, she will give him ALL of hers. And then they will get married and make beautiful EdWin babies and live happily ever after. CHAPTER 108 FTW) Not sure where all those drabbly sentences came from... O.o

^ Aw, omg, your AMV was stunning! The clips matched SO well, I love how you used a combination from all three...it fit in so perfectly. I also like where you added the quotes...heartbreaking D:

I agree! I love the fact that though you can categorize childhood-friends-to-romance into cliche, it's not necessarily true for EdWin. I love the fact that they are so realistic--that they can last a long time (aka forever) in a relationship because they know each other well. This is beautiful about EdWin--it's not your usual love at first sight story or even your usual childhood romance story. What makes EdWin so different from other childhood stories is that we can actually see how they grow up and how they understand each other-it's not your "Oh, like, he grew up into such a hottie!" story...they fell in love gradually NOT because of their looks, but by their interactions over time.

(EdWin will never die...we fans won't let it! X3)

That song always makes me cry! T_T No exception here... Thanks for putting the link on www.fullmetal-alchemist.com or I would have never found it!! (I don't usually watch that kind of AMV) I've never read a fan-fic of their's but I might just go for that one... I think this song is basically MADE for this couple. It screams out their relationship--tangled and always wanting more. I can't word it better than the song. XD

Every clip has a special meaning to each of its respective line...but I think only FMA fans would catch that, I hope. ^^'

Okay, let me try again...HEY. EDWIN FANS. WAKE. UP. *whacks everyone with pillows* Tell me what you think Ed and Winry's "theme song" is, and why! Or else I will wack you with pillows again!!

I think their theme song would either have to be "Fix You" by Coldplay, or "Pieces" by RED. The lyrics for both are pretty much EdWin in a nutshell, I think.

What do you guys think?
