OKAY. This thread has gotten WAY too quiet (especially considering the latest dose of EdWin goodness in Brotherhood), so I'm gonna throw some stuff at you guys and try to revive things.

We haven't seen hide nor hair of Winry for MONTHS in the manga, the latest cliffhanger is still bugging me and I can't stop thinking about how it all might end, so I've gotten started on a three-part EdWin fic to keep myself from going crazy. Any feedback or advice from the rest of you would be lovely, as I've never written ANYTHING for EdxWinry in my life and would like to know if I'm doing a decent job or not.

Yep, the title's Latin. Shiiiiny Latin... I've only got the first part finished, but hopefully I'll have the next one done soon. And finally...what did you think of the latest Brotherhood episode? I was grinning my face off, hugging myself and and suppressing fangirl squeals throughout a lot of it. (Ed bouncing off the walls was so funny...poor hormonal guy, totally in denial...) xD It feels SO GOOD to have all these awesome EdWin moment finally animated. (Even if the art does look a little weird sometimes.) I especially liked Ed and Winry arguing and growling at each other in the car, for some reason.

Though I thought the animation itself was off, I like how Ed froze because Winry was leaning so close to him and then exploded. If there is one thing Brotherhood has done it's embrace the EdxWin fans and fed us all the moments it can give. Hopefully, depending on how swiftly the next episode progresses, we'll have another moment when he puts his arm around her after she confronts Scar

I think FMA manga/brotherhood shipping fandom is the most peaceful I've ever encountered... no messy love triangles or harems or whatnot. EdWinry, RoyRiza, AlMei and LingRanFan ftw!

I agree. It's very refreshing too. It just goes to show you that you can have cannon pairings in shonen without it becoming a soap opera.

yes, I know, man sometimes its painful to be into a series like bleach and naruto because you encounter shippers and wars and man it can't be brutal than that. Most of the time, I avoid fandom mostly because of that. That's why I don't care for who's a couple or not in series like Bleach and Naruto(atleast one couple became canon) until the author made it a offical. FMA and DBZ(Goku/chich, Vegeta/bulma, Gohan/Videl and Krillin/18 having a kid or 2 can't get any more canon than that) is so much likeiable in that aspect. Spider-man fandom is now a pain to follow with the marriage dissolved by editorial control to bring back single peter parker with women problems(stupid idea, I follow Spider-girl whe the marriage stilled happened). Atleast Kenshin(praying that kenshin get the brotherhood treatment with the jinchuu arc animated) had the main characters become a couple and have a kid in the ending.

I must be a sad human being when I consider that winry bikini panel hot. I rather see a panel of Ed reaction to Winry and but the armstrong another panel. It seem that arkawa manga version of the pool scene is more revealing with Winry cleavage tahn the game if you compare.

I watched the opening today with my friend and when there was the scene with Al x Mei and Ed x Winry I said something like "Okay, it's evocative" and she simply answered "See, they ship it". But really, the moment that Ed turns around and see Winry standing there - it's simply amazing how much meaning is in it, like "you can always count on me, Ed". Love it!

I posted on the edwin livejuornal community how I found some marvel swimsuit issues(yes, they made that) and there some really nice shipping romantic artwork on some of marvel's favorite coules which I want to see this type of artwork dne on FMA couples.

I guess with the ponytail that gambit sports that both Rogue and Gambit are from the south which is a similar environment of Resembool. I think,or would at least something like this to happen:

Ed and Al (or at least Al) get their bodies back. They return home Winry congratulates Ed by hugging him and he hugs her back and they both say "I love you" to each other, that would be sweet . I would really like to see a kiss between them,but I doubt that would happen.

i know i'm sounding like a broken record, but I think the ending, assuming EdxWin happens, would be subtle and would be left to our imagination.

you know whats funny, I did actually imagine Ed and Al as Bill and Ted, and Hughes as Rufus or Roy. Man I love that movie, I love the 80s and 90s. I would so go back to that decade and take FMA with me. Arkawa would come up with Fullmetal 2 decades earlier. Prince of Dawn and Daughter of dusk would be for the famicom. Fullmetal would be animated in completely hand=drawned 80s animation. okay I'll stop there. oh yeah for some reason if I always imagine my edwin and royai perfect moments happening on the 80s and 90s out of nostaglia.
