The pain would be from birthing *shudders at pain* and the anger would be at having pain (i.e. Father of child is #1 scapgoat! *laughs wickedly*) and the upset would be her worrying (EVERY mom does it) that the child will be healthy and the birth a sucsess.

She'd probly just break his human arm, dismantle is automail arm (from anger) and his automail leg (to keep him from running away.) and then be wrenched! oooh the ideas are flowing.

i've only read vol.1,2 of the manga so i did'nt know that...no fair .anyway in the anime Edward just dosen't seem like that kind of guy and besides even if he was he and al are always busy trying to find the Philosopher's Stone so Edward could'nt just like the poor neko Alphonse wanted.

Me tool..... the manga at least is starting to do something. I'm rather sad at what the anime couldn't accomplish though. It is just so sad to me that Ed and Winry could not be together as fate takes them apart. In Chinese, they can be described as not having 缘分 The closest translation I can think of is "destiny", though it means something more special, relating to relationships.

I live in the US too, yet I've seen all of the anime, am fully updated on the manga, and have read the movie spoilers. You can get your hands on the manga from this very site if you click "manga" on the navagation menu to the left. It'll take you here:

Since 99% of your posts are about how hott you think Rose is, I don't know if this manga will be interesting enough to you since she's in it very briefly (which is something I thank the heavens for).

LilyChangFMA: Your correct that Ed isn't the dating type. He's also not "smooth cat" type either (think Mustang on his Miniskirt rampage ).
But he is the type that does what is nessesary first. Once he fixes Al, What will his quest be? He'll have little reason to stay with the Dogs (Military Brat with Privalige to say it!) and really one goal...Start Life over one last time.

Xiaku: Al and Winry? I can't picture that if I tried. To me Al should be with either Maria Ross, Schesca, or (No yelling) Gracia. Winry should be with either Ed, Havok, Fuery (Schesca Fuery!), or dude with short purple hair. I'll go find his pic.
Also I once entertained Winry and Scar, but Rose and Scar fit better.

I totally think they will! If you recall in the manga:
Ch. 36-hotel scene, Ed blushed when Winry took his hand
Ch. 47-Ed hugs Winry and gives her his cloak
Ch. 48-Ed's speach, and Al happily teasing him about it...(there are hints that Al supports Ed/Win), plus the whole Winry realizing she's fallen for Ed thing...
Ch. 49-Ed is at first reluctant about taking the gun from Riza, but then remembers that he promised Winry he wouldn't die after Riza said it'd help keep him alive, and takes it.
Multiple times-Ed goes psycho whenever someone mentions them having a romantic relationship, a typical thing for a spazzy boy with a crush to do, and Winry always looking at Ed's back and getting sad

I can only see Winry with Ed or Al. I hate the RoyxWinry couple.

I'm totally for EdWin - my favourite couple besides CloudxTifa (FFVII) right now and I would love to push it until BONES bring out a sequel to their FMA series & movie ^ ^ However, having considered a bit more about their situation and Winry in particular, I came up with a different view in the last few days.

(Note, my view on this is only applicable to the anime and NOT the manga)

Winry deserves someone else: She deserves someone who cares about her and is not reluctant to show it; she deserves someone who understands her feelings and is not too self-absorbed to not notice; she deserves someone who's sensitive to her needs and yet can be strong for both of them. Bottom line: she deserves someone other than Ed..... someone more like Al (but obviously not him... just someone whose disposition is similar to Al's). So, I agree with the person whom I had quoted. (I'm not saying that deserves someone better than Ed, because that's not how it should mean)

His type of Romanic guys like to NOT shower a girl with gifts or treats but show her her own true beauty with out words.

The trick to them is getting them to blab on feelings by letting them know that your there, wether they like it or not.

The origonal Reincarnation story I read (I write fics in this form!) was of a guy who had amnesia and still recognized the woman he loved from 100 years before!
Ed's only complete with Winry and Winry is only complete with Ed. Nothing to it!

Reincarnation is a book this guy wrote (I'll edit with his name when I find it)
about people who were reincarnated and the things they learned the second time around.
He lived durring wwII, he was a pilot who before and after woret his storys.
First one was writtin because of a woman he met who was a nurse.
He belived they loved each other long ago and had returned to find each other again.
Thus 90% of his storys were of lost love.

Not many ppl noticed, but in chapter 49, when Riza offers her gun, Ed first refuses because of what he had said to Winry about shooting Scar, but takes it when he hears Riza say it'll keep him alive. It reminds him that he said he promised Winry he wouldn't die. It's not much of a hint, I know, but I still think it's kawaii

It was a little confusing. But I also agree. (Mostly because im too stubborn to be told otherwise Xp)

English version : Ed can love, he just can't speak about it.
He also is afraid that if he DOES make his move, he will lose her forever,
Which would equal his second biggest crash ever. (First was almost killing Al.)

His age is important to the factor of his troubles with girls.
16 year old males have no clue what they truly and deeply need,
only what looks best and has most appeal.
Girls by 16 years of age have a decent idea of what they want for the future.
Example:
At 16 Winry knows she wants someone who will always be close and comfort her when it's needed. This is obvius.
Ed at 16 "wants" to stay with Winry but his conflick is will he lose a part of himself or her even if he moves towards it.
Ed at 26, Al's all human and whatnot, he would probly be all over marrying Winry for the right reasons, He just doesn't have that now.
Yes as the older sibling he's poised on Al's returning human, but he feels if he does offer himself to Winry, he'll only push her away more.

I know people way too well. Stupid psycology for 8 years!
