i love playing duel sympathy....its a pretty good game.

I enjoyed the game even though it is pretty short. Oh, and thanks for the videos on how to get the last two alchemy books!!! I've been trying to find out for a while now.

Is the game worth it?? I have money and I want to buy a DS game, should I buy this one??

Ok, the Japanese version kinda worth my money since I am a Kugimii-fan (Al's voice actress)... and I can hear Al talk during the menu and yell during the gameplay... I am not gonna spend a cent on the English version personally, but I will download it later since people says the gameplay is slightly different for the English version.

My two cents: Don't get this game as your first DS game, since it will probably bore you out in a week (once you got everything unlocked, cough)... Game play is pretty dull (check out the youtube videos I made few post above)... They didn't really utilize the touch screen that well other than the part where you need to do transmutations to get to the next stage... but I guess as a FMA fan, you should buy it =P

I'm going through the character modes and want to know if anyone has put up the walkthrough how to beat Pride as Edward as he keeps beating me!

Check earlier in this thread. Strategies for Pride have already been given alogn with videos. I reccomend AA Battery's method.

My video for that part done w/ Alphonse, and a crappier version with Roy (but Roy has complete walkthrough)... I think Ed/Al/Izumi are pretty much the same, while Roy/Armstrong/Scar are slightly different (harder to use imo).

I downloaded the FMA game in english and played it through twice - Story Normal Mode and Character Hard Mode (with Al) - and would like to confirm that other than some trivial things they took out/altered, game play is identical. To the people who were saying Pride doesn't jump, what were you talking about?

It was quite a nice NDS side-scrolling beat'em up, but IMHO too short and too reptitive. The fights are good and dynamic and story mode is nice summary of anime. Character mode is nice too (Pride battle!) but only for the first time - the rest is just copypasta. Some of the minigmaes were annoying (running away from the giant stone ball) but some weren't bad (transmutation circles). And it was cool that you could use everyone's alchemy, but the most powerful techs only if they belong to your character. Also, Kibley's and Marcoh's spellbooks were nice too,

Has ANYONE ever passed Dante on the HARD level???? Please, tell me if you have! It's taking me AGES and I have to give the game back to my friend in 2 weeks!

Dante is easy. I don't even remember if there are any significant difference between her easy and hard level other than the length of the level...

All you have to do is to dodge her attack until she completely runs out of strength/stone. Don't bother attacking her. There is no trick to this... just memorize her attack pattern and dodge her attacks accordingly.

But I've done that!! :) Maybe I just have problems. I've memorized her attacks, but I need help against the big Chimera thing because it keeps killing me everytime.

Um, just run away from it and use your alchemy attack on it? That big chimera is just like any other big chimera you have encountered in the game though...

I guess. it just kills me though.

^ Maybe it's because you're nervous about facing the last boss, my suggestion is to use Ed or Al's cannon on it and once that's run out beat it up with fists.

Yeah... I don't think I was nervous about it.

But I got it done! Finally. It was easy with Marcoh's book :)
