hate to point out plot holes in this manga, but there is two and one common plot hole that everybody misunderstood

when Raito kills the fake L, Linder L. Tailor. "L" is a initial and i don't think it's valid in the death note

If Last name and first name is enough for death note then it doesn't matter

the exact reason i start this plot hole thing... there was originally 5 guys (excluding Chief Yagami, L and Watari) who were willing to stand up to Kira/Raito. One walked out when he heard they are going to meet L, that makes 4; then another well... dead, killed by Misa, that makes 3. but there's this other guy... he just... kinda... vanished, i mean ... the last time i have seen him is in page 14 (or chapter 14, whatever you call it), and he never appears again.. now it turns out there's 2. The mysterious man is named "Mogi"...

its been mentioned before, but not sure if it's in this forum but i will say it anyways: one of the rules written in the manga is that you can't write a person's name wrong 4 times or the death note will be rendered useless, but he wrote the name of 2nd guy he killed 7 times.

He got it right the first time if you read the jap manga, so all those other names doesn't matter because it's working once the name is on the note

well that's all, page 37 is especially awesome with 4 colored pages including jump cover, and a fanservice for LxRaito fans. I am sure doujinshi based on this plot will spread like wild fire

oh that's because he only heard his name but he needs to write it down in Kanji (characters), there ate many ways to write that guy's name in kanji so he had to guess, so fortunate enough, he guessed right the first time so his death note is still valid

i don't support shounen-ai, but i have to admit it's really funny when you make jokes about it .my friend and i drew lots of jokes about LxRaito (if that means that L loves Raito but Raito doesn't) on msn.

Another thing, this is a small point compared to those above, but they keep talking about the FBI helping out in Japan. That's totally wrong isn't it? The FBI works and investigates mostly in the US. It's the CIA that does the foreign investigations.

I prefer LxRaito! because L can love Raito in a creepy way!
anyways... Thievesvinegar, you have a point here. But since Raito kills US criminals too, after L announces that Kira is in Japan, FBI would come to Japan to investigate... but on the other hand, it's L who sent the FBIs... unless he is also working for the US and... come to think of it he kinda works for the whole world, and since US is the most powerful, L would most likely to send them to do the hardest work...

Mogi, the last i heard of him was on chapter 21, when the police chief was talking to this superior, saying how mogi is the other "L" that approached the othere family.

oh i just realised, that guy is doing under cover tailing Raito and peple around Raito, he appeared in Page 31 twice, i thought the author forgot about him or something

page 37 was great. didn't expect another kira. poor misa and raito, i never knew a shinigami could erase memories.

I'm not too sure about this, but do you guys notice a difference in L? Compare the L in the beginning before his face was reveled and the current one...i dont remember him so stooped.

maybe it was just to let him have a good impression. the current L is really funny though. the way he pciks up fones and cups. or maybe like L said in Page 32, there's a team of L

LxRaito... which is better than RaitoxL because L is the BIGGEST SEME ever!!! L is the coolest character ever. Raito is sexy. And the only available pairing is Raito and L because they are practically no other characters (other than Misa, but come on, if you think Raito and Misa are together you are on crack).

It's the other way around for me. RaitoxL Forever~ Cuz, Raito's bad-ass. And L's a cute lil' monkey.

Everyone read chapter 34 (or am i behind I can't tell, I don't use IRC)? What is Raito's scheme now, he will probably forfeit the death note, but has probably left behind markers guiding him to the location where he burired it. But the main problem is how will he make sure Kira keeps killing while he's locked up (maybe he will convince Ryuuku to do it for him ). Thoughts anyone?
