Roy and Ed bonding

I finally made something long and detailed...

"Ow........" Roy massaged his cheek which was now tender thanks to Ed's punch.
"Hawkeye, tell Edward that his punishment for this is cleaning the toilets...."
"Yes, sir." The door squeaked loudly as Hawkeye opened it to leave, and then, she
closed it." Damn it... I was lucky he forgot to use his metal arm..." Roy had told Ed earlier, that Ed had destroyed a whole city and therefore, owed him $900,000,000 in cash.He was joking of course, but Ed didn't figure that.
He would've found out by now though... A few minutes passed and Hawkeye opened the door and came in. "What did he say?" Asked Roy. "He said 'Fuck you, bastard' and'I hate you'. He also said to stop joking around with him."Roy looked down a little bit.
He wasn't necessarily sad because he was used to it, but... "You know he hates you, right colonel?" Asked Riza. "...Well... I hate him too." Said Roy. There was a short silence in their room. "That must really hurt. Doesn't it?" "Yes..." Answered Roy.
It had always hurt. Each insult leaving a blunt dent in him. Even if they were just playing, it would always hurt. " If... you want... to talk with him ... he's in the library." Said Riza. Roy scooted out of his chair and walked down the door.Riza stayed in his room. " *sigh* "
Roy walked calmly down the spiral staircase heading to the library. "Hmmm...."
Where oh, where was Ed... He looked in the air alchemy section. Nope. Then, he went to the water alchemy section. No. He looked in the general alchemy section. Not there.He went to the porno section. Definitely, not there.
Finally, he found Ed sitting at a table in the plant alchemy section. "Hi Fullmetal." Ed looked up from his book."Yo bastard." There was a slight pause."You hate me...Don't you? ..." Roy looked a little concerned." I don't hate you Ed..." "You don't?" "No."
Roy put his hand on Ed's head. " You're like my little brother Ed. I can't hate you."
"Don't get mushy on me okay?" Ed smiled a little. "I love you, Ed." "Damn it, Roy! Don't hug me!"
"You're always so cranky... C'mon Ed, let's get some fresh air." "Ok, bastard." They walked to the front of the building and went out the doors.
It was beautiful outside. There was the sun, in the middle of the sky. It illuminated buildings, animals, fruits, and trees. Roy smiled at the beautiful scenery.
Ed did not. This reminded him of distorted, messed up experiments. It reminded him of... that day. Where everything... went wrong. That day when she died... When their bodies were taken to the other side... It was a beautiful day. Just like this one. Ed's eyes widened in horror. He ran into Roy's chest and cried there.
Roy was a little shocked but, he put his arm around Ed and stood there." *sob* "
"Now, now Ed..." Roy patted Ed's back. " *sniff*" "You're to young to be this old..."
" *cry* *sob* " " Oh Ed... *sigh* Why don't I get you some icecream, hmmm?"
" *cry*" "You are one depressed kid, aren't you?" " *sniff* Yes." "C'mon. Don't you
want a fudge bar?" "*sob* Yes..." "Stop crying Ed... Let's go."
Ed dried his tears and walked beside Roy. Roy put his arm around Ed's head in the symbolism that they were now friends.
Through the window in Roy's office, Riza watched them looking content. They were finally at peace.
Roy and Ed walked into the town, Roy's arm still around Ed's head. Ed stopped walking, and then Roy stopped. Roy looked at him curiously. "...Ed? ......"
Ed looked up at him. "...Thank you...... Big brother." Roy smiled. He wore an illuminated smile. Illuminated, as much as the sky.
The idea of Ed sobbing in such a way is amusing... and I cracked up at the image of Riza repeating Ed's words to Roy. Nice little fic. Good job!
