That would be the ideal treatment of these "flyers", hito. Unfortunately, bryantq is quite busy and probably shouldn't be bothered with trivial matters that can be fixed with a ban (though not an IP ban, as I do not have that power).

A NOTE TO EVERYONE REGARDING DOUBLE-POSTS:

ONLY PRESS "Reply" ONCE. If your computer is being slow, just wait for it to load. If something happens and it says "Cannot Find Server" or whatever, go back to that same thread, and check to see if your reply was made. More often than not, the system registers the reply. If not, just post again.

In the likely event that your computer/you screwed up and you made two identical posts, edit ONE of them only, and I will delete that ONE if I come upon it. To edit a member, click on their name and it will bring you to their profile. On the list of options to the right of their avatar should be "Edit Member" at the very bottom, and you just go from there.

Off-topic but it is too bad that I didn't get here much earlier. My friends are always being annoyed at me when I correct their grammar, and annoy 'em about doube-posting and such

Actually, I do see some people reading them every once in a while, and I'm pleasantly surprised.

The guide is too long to be read in one sitting. Maybe the mods could send to new members just a sentence daily a la fortune cookies.

too long?! its it equivalent of a page of text in a textbook, actually a bit less..... i feel that there should be supplements, like a FAQ on FMA itself. the guide is pretty minimal when compared to the crap that people try to pull daily...

Would that be less, more, or an equal amount of work when compared with n00b control of people who haven't read the guide?

Maybe you guys should have something that points out just the most basic points, like your rules on posting, cursing, quote spirals, sigs and pics in general. Something like that to send to people, I know those are the things I needed to know the most when I first came here.

If it's too long, they should be able to get the general gist of the forum's rules if they go there, and I clearly and specifically said "for those with shorter attention spans." If the n00b can't be bothered to read and comprehend, then maybe s/he shouldn't be so upset when people try to correct him/her.

If it didn't take me too long to write up, then it sure shouldn't take them that long to read it.

I read the Decorum a couple of times I don't think it's that long. Though I probably would not read it if I was just signing up.
