Hmm...about the comic...it`s funny, i guess. This may seem a bit silly, it`s just that it seems like Roy is admiring the Gundam girl which agrivates (sp?) me because I don`t... really... like... Gundam SEED. 
I agree with you Fullmetal Fangirl about the chibi thing. Chibis are great, really, it`s just that I was hoping for a more serious OVA.

And, about OVA thingy, I think the Chibi one is only one of the 3 short stories, and the main event is the "Homuncli vs Military Alchemists" movie, which, unless you were in Japan last summer and had seen it at the Universal Studio Japn theme park in Japan, then all new to us, with supposedly lots of Roy action scenes, and some Roy/Riza scenes, (with properly proportioned FMA characters) so I'm quite looking forward to it!!

That new FMA OVA is coming out on March 29 in Japan (region-2 DVD,) 3990 Japanese Yen.
It includes one main story, "7 Homuncli vs Millitary/Alchemists" thingy, plus 3 short independant pieces, one of which is Chibi anime, another one is live acton short story, and the third one is some stuff for kids, I guess.

My thought, exactly!!
My guess is that from the regular FMA characters they probably have only Al in the armor (with the voice actor of Al's Japanese voice as his voice,) interacting with strangers, or something??
I guess that way they can get away with showing Al in live action??? Still a bit strange, tho.

Only one of the stories is filled with chibi goodness.. The others are..not...chibi.

I'd already seen enough bad cosplays to be extremely afraid of seeing FMA live. If Riza was originally from a tv series played by actors, I don't think I would love like her as much. I'm only into manga and anime.

The children part, according to the fm_alchemist Livejournal community, is set in Tokyo 2005; Ed is a Grandfather, according to the narration by Romi Paku.

On French sites, there are rumours about the last OAV too, saying that the story would take place 16 years after the movie and not in 2005...

This may sound sorta morbid, but if part of the OVA gonna take place many years in the future I hope Roy and Riza died at a relatively young age so we don`t have to see them...old or something...
