I reallly dont mind the dub voices or sub, either way is fine with me as long as I can watch it.

I personaly prefer not to watch most dubbed versions of anime for there poor quality, but I will try every thing once. I have run into a few well-dubbed anime series' but most are abismal (a prime example of this was The Record of the Lodoss wars). Though the dubbed version of Fullmetal Alchemist was as a whole well done, I still think the Japanese voice actors where more fitting - especially in the case of Roy, Riza, Armstrong and Breda so far from what I've seen of the subbed version. Though I do like Ed and Al's better in the subbed version to a certain extent.

FMA is a hard series to dub, especially if the main character is a growing boy. I mean really, how many grown men can do a YOUNG boy's voice(a shrimpy boy at that) and still retain the spunk that Edo has? Which is why Paku-san was so fitting to do Edo. Since she is a woman her voice is generally much higher than that of a man so it is easier to do a young boy's voice(plus she has great acting skill). The problem with most English VAs is that they don't really try to tweak their voices to sound like a character so they end up sounding very bland(don't get me wrong though because there are still a lot of VAs who do have great variaties of voices). And when women/girls try to tweak their voices to sound like a character they end up sounding really annoying or stuck up. I'm not saying that female seiyuu's don't also do that because some of them do sound like annoying little girls, it really depends on the person. I find that seiyuus are more able to express the characters than their English counterparts. Also, the characters portrayed could also have an affect on the voices, Cowboy Bebop had a very western feel to everything and so the the VAs did a better job of the voices because it was probably easier for them to act those characters.

And yes, Chinese dubs are sucky, it's like they just read the script and thats it, and if they do try to put emotion in it it turns out very lame sounding.

(My hair didn't fit as anybody) but I will most likely be some random person taking your picture! And don't forget to be at the 06:30pm Full Metal Alchemist (Inbetween the Con. Do you know any body going as Ling, Lan Fan or Mai-chan? I think she would have been an adorable character to see. Like Elisa Hughes last year. Little Kids are so cute!

While I do believe that the article was talking about them working together before they split up, according to the original article itself (written in chinese) it didn't exactly use past tense (because chinese doesn't have actual "past tense" like english)

So then, there's always the possibility that it takes place AFTER they were split up. Maybe Riza was sent to the North to inform Roy that he was transferred back to Central?

I think that after seeing what's happening and reuniting with Al, Roy decides to drop on his rank and everything and go to the front lines, that's why Riza stays in central while roy's in the front lines, in the middle of everything to discover what's happening and meet Ed and etc.
