Uh no. Havoc got stabbed through the center of his abodomen area, not chest. The claws enter at his stomach region and emerge at the middle region of his back. Provided she did not stab through his liver and spill the bile and toxins out, the most we can worry about him dying from is trauma and blood loss.

chances of Havoc dying is much bigger than Roy dying, coz it seems that for the homunculus, Havoc's not important at all..

hmmm... and havoc... that wasn't his chest. and, anyway, they have the guys from Xing! if you've read chap 32-33, you'll note that their alchemy is called pharmacy (at least that's how yebyosh translated it). their alchemy is more on medicine. I'm sure Ling or his 2 guardians would know how to perform pharmacy... they may even save havoc, so there's still hope! Plus, they're not tht far away, and the old man ninja is still missing.

what i don't get is what lust did... why did she show him her philosopher's stone? and what's the purpose of stabbing him in the end when she could've done so w/o exposing anything?

It is following one fact that was already stated in the manga. To paraphrase Greed, Envy is a "piece of sh*tty work"

Envy is really the weakest of the lot and his only use seems to be spywork (which Lust said he's not so great at it either) or sabotage, meaning he is good for espionage but plainly sucks at fighting

Gluttony is the better fighter but judging from how he *spoiler*had trouble with small agile Hayate *hooray for the pup* , he is powerful but slow and clumsy. So Ed or the Xings would handle him easily as long as they don't get caught in his grip. Al would be too slow to dodge and needs to hold him off by strength.

Actually the Xings had the constraints to not kill Ed and Al, they initially wanted to capture them. Lan Fan however was provoked by Ed (guess who loves Ling ).

Also the Xings clearly underestimated Ed and Al, as well as the fact that they have never seen 'clappy' Alchemy.

I'm willing to say that in a fight now, Ed and Al would fight to a draw against them or have a harder victory. Of course, we haven't seen Ling fight at all and in Eastern martial art stories, the lazy, seemingly useless bugger is always one of the toughest sob around.
