I have posted this as a topic elsewhere, but will highlight this here too since so many of you use this topic. If you want to ask any questions about the following please ask in the appropriate topic and not in this thread.

b. within Fullmetal Alchemist discussion. Please do not bring up any spoilers in General Discussion (Open Chat, General Music/Video/Game), General Anime, General Manga or Spam Central.
c. Before the spoiler, mention which spoiler it is. So if you were discussing something that happens in Episode 64, put (Episode 64) before the spoiler.

2. You can post images or fanart but only via a link. Please also make sure you warn people the image will contain spoilers. As above, please restrict this to Fullmetal Alchemist topics only. The same applies for Fanfiction, if it contains spoilers you must link only. If only later chapters will contain spoilers, you only need to link them.

3. You can discuss 108/63-64 in the Brotherhood Movie Speculation thread. Do not post discussion about the movie outside of this thread though.

4. You can use images from Chapter 108 and Episodes 63 and 64 in your signature and avatar as long as they are not direct spoilers. If you are unsure what would be a direct spoiler, please check with one of the Moderators before you upload them.

These rules are still keeping in mind that the final episode has not been shown by Funimation yet. Since some fans only see the Funimation version we do not want to spoil anything for them.

We would like your input though if you have any thoughts. As stated these rules will alter but follow them from today onward.

Hi, this my first post, tho i've been lurking in this forum since march it's kinda sad that i haven't had chance to join the festivities here during brotherhood since my account isn't validating. thanks to Tombow for fixing it btw .i actually enjoy reading everyone's post here after watching an episode, it really adds to the excitement

btw, i was looking at jacksparrow's picture compilations last monday and i still had'nt finished looking all of it, but wow! all pictures are amazing! I just wonder what sites did those come from?
tho i know some of them are from deviantart since i'm a full time deviant last May and haven't opened my account since start of our classes, but i wonder where the doujinshi came from? my favorite is the one about the school with masuda-san(mustang?) .Though the story have diff. setting, the moment between roy and riza there are as subtle and as sweet as the one in manga. Very cute and funny when riza said "it almost feel motherly" at the last panel

baquira--Hi! So nice of you to join us! A lot of the doujinshi are from Japanese artists with their own sites, such as Chocolate Queen, and were translated (usually by Tombow, but we've had others, like Nagareboshi), and for my purposes, I'm using the ones that have been scanlated if at all possible.

Since you are on deviantArt (and I'm unlikely to produce anything worth putting up there, let alone get an account within the next couple weeks), if you recognize any of the art from either the photobucket or anything I may post in my album here (though I'm trying to keep the "artist unknown"s there to a minimum), would you please let me know who they are by giving me the picture number listed and the artist's name on deviantArt, so that I can contact them for permission? (All of this is assuming that you have the time and the inclination to do so, as well. Don't worry if it doesn't happen!)

And now...

YAY! We can (very carefully and following the rules set forth to the letter) post 108 spoilers! I'm not going to, because I have nothing to say about them at the moment, but seeing the new rules is pretty cool! Thanks, Chiyo, for the info!

And trust me, you're not the only one who finds Roy hot. As much as I try not to develop crushes on or even just attractions to fictional characters, Roy is very good-looking! Most of Arakawa's main characters are, partially because they're so well-drawn, but Roy really is quite pleasing to look at. (Episode 64) When he doesn't have that mustache, anyway. *shudders*

I totally forgot: Roy's also a great person, too. But being hot doesn't hurt.

I looove those pictures, thanks for coloring the Roy tachi one, Michiyo! I am, as I said, totally lost, though, and don't know what the "Don't forget FMA" thing is. Is it just this picture being released, or something bigger? Sorry for having a n00b moment.

And one more random question, that the "remember FMA" thing reminded me of. Does anyone have a link to that video (I believe GanGan or someone made) about Roy just around the time he went psycho, advertising for the roy vs. Envy volume?? The one with music and manga clips? Does anyone have a link to that, or has it been removed??

In RoyAi news, I got my DVD recently and almost died all over again when I saw the scene where Bradley turns to Roy after he tried to use Selim against him and he bluntly said something like, "She can be used to get to you," where in the manga he said, "You should be worrying about yourself," which is a little less straightforward but still gets to the point. I wasn't sure if there were any other translations of the manga page I didn't know about, or what other people thought of the difference, if it really was that big or if it just seems big to subtly-obsessed RoyAi fans.

Don't Forget FMA is a memorial project at Gangan Online, where fans can leave their messages to the characters of FMA. There will be 6 periods, and you can send your message to different group of characters in each period. The first was Roy and his team, the second was Ling, Lan Fan and Fu, and we're at the 3rd period now, with Olivier, Miles, Buccaneer, Kimblee and Scar. After a period is over, the fans' messages will be displayed on the site along with a drawing by Arakawa.

Oh my gosh the new gaiden! I had forgotten about that for a moment. There are so many things I'd wish to see, but above all else, I'd like the same thing... either a story about Roy's future or Roy and Riza's past. Either would be perfect!

I think I'm a bit more intrigued by the future though... since I can fill in the blanks of what happened in their past with what info we've been given. But the future is completely open! I'd want to see a glimpse of what it's like.

GeMikanXIII--Great fanarts! (As to copying the poses--that's how you get good at doing it on your own: copying a reference over and over until the idea of how to create that type of pose becomes natural. At least, that's how it works with me.

) Riza looks pretty bad@$$ in that first picture, but also like she's struggling with something...? That might just be me. Moving right along... In "Ame No Hi Wa No Thank You", her expression makes me feel a bit bad for her--she's like, "Remind me why I stick with this guy, again?", and Roy looks like he's having fun, at least. (And maybe being obnoxious on purpose? The guy's gotta cut loose sometime!) "The Forbidden Dance" just made me happy. Personalities aside, they just look good together! "Connected" is cute! (Especially Roy rolling up his sleeves--for some reason, that just made my day. Go figure.

)

Also, you probably shouldn't link to Facebook, especially if it's yours. I have done the same thing, and was informed by the mods that it is a no-no for security reasons--your security. Perhaps you can put it in your post as an attachment and not a URL?

And I totally want a Royai gaiden, or at least some part of it that's Royai. I think it'd be fun to see them in either the past or the future--I really don't have a preference at the moment.

_Jelly--It's so... shiny! Mostly in the "Firefly" slang sense of the word ("pretty", "cool", or "awesome" if you haven't seen the show), but it also is just kinda shiny.

randomester--You're certainly within the rules as far as warning us goes, but the link doesn't like me, so I can't see it, anyway.

GeMikanXIII--I did notice the tattoo thing, but I wasn't going to mention it; I figured it was very much an on-purpose decision. Until proven otherwise, I shall assume that Riza somehow managed to apply enough cover-up that it wasn't a problem.

I'm sure that some alchemist *cough*Roy!*cough* could come up with something that would be able to withstand the situation. I'd better stop before I get off on that tangent, though.

randomester--I've seen that before! I think in the "Temporary Reflections for Royai fans" thread? That'd be just about the only place you could put it... Anyway, great job!

From what I get,it's about Riza is losing her earring and our gentleman colonel wants to buy a new one.It's epically cute and...Artist's style is sooo Arakawaish you know when you see it.

For "Parallel Love" firstly links are not working.

But anywyas I have RAWs thanks to LJ.There is a group in LJ who translated it and it's only waiting for edit now she'll share them after finished.

And the last;my new obsession "Hot Chocolate" by jellyjay.A must read if you like fanfictions.I've never ever read a pre-Royai ff as this cuteness.From what I see in reviewers jacksparrow is a reader of serie too

FirstMoon is totally right: I do follow "Hot Chocolate", and I freakin' love it! Partially because there are definite differences from the way I write Roy and Riza, but it's great writing in general. It is pretty fluffy at points, but, being a fan of young Royai fluff, I don't mind a bit.

Another recommendation from me that isn't my fanfic: The oneshot "Sweet Little Lies" by D. M. Evans (a fantastic writer since the dawn of time) is also awesome, though it takes place "post 108 so vague spoilers for all" in the notes before the story. (There's lots of reflection on past events, though.) It's mostly Roy-centric though we do get Royai moments, too.

Roy***--The first site was cute, but whatever language it's in, my computer can't process it, so I can't navigate the site very well.

(But the art in the front is cute! Poor Hayate, left outside to scratch at the door!) I had much better luck with the second site, and the art is beautiful. Thank you for sharing them!

I was inspired by a post I saw about Riza to write a sort of essay on just how complex she really is. Still working on it, don't know that it'll ever be any good, but if anyone wants to read it... PM me, I guess?

yup, cute fanarts! I like the style of the first one, it reminds me of my grandma's arts and handy crafts.

jacksparrow's essay, many wants to read it, you could share it us in the thread. : )

I hate it when people misunderstood riza or looks at her character superficially. She IS complex like a real person is. That makes her relatable and I think that's one of the reason why many people likes her.
Also, people admires a person who always had tough exterior, always good at what they are doing, but then, suddenly they see the person wasn't really different to others who has weakness and insecurities.
It is comforting whenever we prove nothing's perfect.

jacksparrow - I definitely want to read your essay!!! You have a great understanding of Riza, and you're a really good writer, so Im sure it'll be great (and I think I know exactly which post you're responding to, oddly enough...)
