Gaaah!!! Me too! I really want to see this "eye signal" Riza apparently gives Roy and his further response to her wound. I bet it's fantastically epic!Royai. I also really want to see what happens in the rest of the chapter! Maybe Riza will have a heart wrenching response to Roy's disappearance. She's probably too exhausted to pull a chapter 39 sort of deal, but at the same time, I'm expecting some angst. What a terrible day for poor Roy and Riza (though so far, it's been pretty awesome for Royai fans....)

Yaaay picture time! Speaking of which, I remember babbling about making a picture as tribute to the preview scans... so I did. Unfortunately, I had horrible leg pain and cried my eyes out while trying to finish this, so the end result isn't what I had wanted... but I'll go back and fix it soon! Here it is:

Just saw the new episode. I have to agree with everyone on this....
ROY IS SO FLIPPIN' ADORABLE!!!
My god! What happened...? Not that I mind, but wow. When he was talking to Ed after he got out of the car... and Ed slammed the door on him and he flinched... gawd so cute! XD Can't stand it!! This shouldn't be... he's the cool strong manly taisa... hahaha aw I love him even more now.
It had to be the artwork in the episode, because Hawkeye was extremely cute in the beginning too, when she and Hayate were saying goodbye to Ed..

Ooh! Thanks for posting. I loved the last one, though I thought that it would be even better with scenes from chapter 100... It would fit so well.... I hope the maker will redo the video with scenes from 100 and possibly 101 IF THE RAW WOULD EVER COME OUT!!!! [/rant]

Irena--Thanks for sharing the awesome videos! I'd seen that skit and "She is the Sunglight", but not the other two... which I am now going to go favorite.
The "Every time" one creeped me out... should've watched that before "Falling for the First Time", which I thought was awesome. Both gave me fanfic ideas, too. Hmmmm...

I guess once the anime version of chapter 101 is out, you can make a good amv out of it. *grin*
I wonder which song is suitable. I feel like using 'seventh heaven' by kalafina. It's kind of slow and emotional imo.

I cannot wait to see this chapter animated now! Before the spoilers I was definitely afraid to see it, but now I'm trying to figure out how many weeks it might be until it airs.... It's going to be so epic!!!! But we won't see it for a long while yet.... Other moments will have to tide us over for now. But even then.... It's going to be awhile before our next Royai moment in Brotherhood isn't it? Shouldn't it be when Roy calls her? Or am I forgetting something?

Yeah, probability of a miracle happening twice in a row is quite low... but thanks to all of the ones who brought us preview pages so early on! It was a miracle I hadn't expected (and now I can - theoretically - go back to learning and writing papers).
At least subs for episode 31 are up so I have something to look at
And yes, I tried every page I know of right before I posted this and probably will go and try it again right after...

Irena! I found this AMV on youtube. I didn't make it so all the credit goes to the creator. It isn't exactly Royai. But a tribute to Roy, Riza, Hughes, Armstrong, Havoc, Breda, Fuery, Falman, Denny, and Maria. But in my opinion they are all awesome, so why not post an AMV about them all.

spectator--Hmmm... Chapter 100/101 songs... "Never Say Never" by The Fray, "30 Minutes" by t.A.T.u., "Cat and Mouse" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, "Until the Day I Die" by Story of the Year... Sad-bordering-on-emo songs, all of them, but that's kind of the mood I got from 100, and 101, despite THE HUG, things are far from over. "Savin' Me" by Nickelback works pretty nicely, too, but it's rather over-used.

I'm kicking and squealing over the Chapter 101 spoilers; seriously. Other manga I follow have been sorely lacking recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with this. K, scratch that, I'm absolutely thrilled! I'm using exclamation points, it's so exciting.
Ahh, what are all the song suggestions for? /Honors homework-laden and tired.

Song suggestions would be for a possible MMV/AMV (when it happens in Brotherhood) during chapters 100 and 101.
spectator--Now really, why on EARTH would you choose that song?
You'd have to put things in just the right order at just the right time, but the Royai-ness would make me swoon if it was that good. And probably even if it wasn't--I'm that far gone.

"Far Away" by Nickelback always seems to fit Royai no matter what the occasion - I found a really nice MMV with that song a while back but it got zapped by the copyright police T___T

But I did some research and I'm not sure if this has already been brought up or not but I have the feeling that Roy will no longer be able to use flame alchemy. King Bradley stabbed Roy in the center of the palm and it looks like it has severed his median nerve.
"The median nerve travels through a tunnel within the wrist called the carpal tunnel. This nerve gives sensation to the thumb, index finger, long finger, and half of the ring finger. It also sends a nerve branch to control the thenar muscles of the thumb. The thenar muscles help move the thumb and let you touch the pad of the thumb to the tips each of each finger on the same hand, a motion called opposition."
So he would no longer be able to snap his fingers to use his flame alchemy.
Arakawa is usually good about researching stuff like that and I think it's interesting..

But he doesn't really need to snap to use his alchemy, he just needs to be able to activate his circle and have a spark or fire source around...and carrying around a lighter really isn't any harder than carrying around his gloves. Though that injury really has to hurt, rubbing my palms just thinking about it

I disagree about Roy not being able to do Flame Alchemy. He only needs to snap to get the firsts sparks, and for that he can use existing fires, matches, or something else. Besides, there is Mei. She can heal him to a certain extent.

I was thinking something along the same lines; while an injury like that might slow him down a bit it wouldn't completely impede his alchemy. If Mei got to him quickly enough she could probably do something as well.

I mean, even if he wouldn't be able snappin' fingers (What nobody knows), it can be healed afterwards =D Like everything in FMA world. For example, metallic limbs, if it works =D

Ah yes, you may be right.
Even though Roy could still use flame alchemy, I think it's a serious hindrance to not be able to snap your fingers.

I was thinking about being healed by May, but didn't she say that her alchemy can't completely heal a wound? I know she can stop the bleeding but reconnect nerves and tissue? Roy with no transmutation circle... he's joining the ranks of Ed, Al, Izumi, and Hohenheim! I can imagine Ed's first reaction being pretty amusing. Then again, he'd know that that probably meant a human transmutation, and what might he assume then? But are we sure it's that nerve that's been severed? Couldn't the perspective of it make a little room for error? The whole snapping thing is just too awesome!

Yay so I finally got to see episode 31 subbed.
I liked it! I felt like it covered a lot without being overly skimpy on the detail.
Roy did look rather dashing in civilian clothes, and Vanessa was cute lol.
