Okay, its worth a shot, some of you may have read this. It's in our own fictions section but isn't liked. Posting the link to chapter one but it is a complete fic if you wish to go on and read it all. As I say it does seem Ed/Win to begin with but it is based upon Roy/Riza initially.

And yes, I have made OC's for this fic but I do so hope you don't see any Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu in them. I worked hard to getting Grace Elric and Max Mustang just right.

In my previous post, when I was talking to CodenameElizabeth, I mentioned this show.

The first picture that Elizabeth posted reminded me a lot of that show - so I'm doing my own "series!" "Mystery Royai Theater 3000!"

It will be quite fun. But I can't really think of anything... But I figured that this would be a fun little "project" for us all to have as a back-up for when we're bored and there aren't any decent holidays to celebrate!

EDIT: @ Tombow - I've just finished saving all of the pictures and translations of Red Marker! I will now *attempt* to scanlate them... I wish I had some nifty program like Photoshop... well, I guess I have cheapo versions of the nifty programs, but I think I'll just use plain old paintshop until I can figure something else out... point is, I'll try my best! If it's alright with you, though, I may do some "editing" to the translations, so that it makes a little more sense in English... I'm not going to chop it up or anything, just give it a little polish.

The New FMA: Welcome back! I am so glad to hear that you had a great time in London! Be sure to catch up on some much needed rest. Mystery Royai Theatre sounds really intriguing. (It makes me think of Roy dressed in 1940s clothing and doing dramatic soliliqiues in an old black and white movie.)

Chiyo and Tian Ai: I saved both of your fics to my hard-drive so I can read them tonight. I am sure both of them are great!

I should seriously attempt to write a fic after University stops kicking me in the ass. I have hundreds of ideas floating around in my head, but I'm one of those horrible people who doesn't put them into writing.

I love all of the art put up over the last few days and the scanlations look great! I was going to try to do the scanlations, but my show opens on Friday, so I leave the house at 0700 and don't ever get home before 2000. Then I have to do homework!

@ RLS Hmmmmm....it is a possibility that we garnered more pages via larger sigs, but I'm sure a Mod will be around to correct that. My theory is that the number of replies per page has been reduced, or someone is throwing a wrench into the forum system. I'm sure answers will come our way.

EDIT: I discovered the reason as to why we jumped so many pages....The thread was merged from an older Hawkeye thread. I cracked up when someone posted how they couldn't get BitTorrent! It all makes sense...but does it make our attempts to get to page 600 all in vain? I hope not. I was just getting excited about counting down to 700 and that all passed. Oh well...at least the mystery is solved! I'm so P.I.

Hm, don't think I ever updated the second page of Red Marker (complete with new font!) last night - I think I was waiting for someone else to post so I didn't have to keep editing the same old post! Ok, here it is... There's just this one line of text - an author note - that I don't have a translation for... so if anyone's willing to translate it, I'll put it in the page. Thanks.

@The New Fullmetal Alchemist - That's the story inconsistencies I mentioned in my disclaimer note. That line was left out with reasons!! (to amend the author's inconsistency!!) >.<

For some weired reason, the author promoted Riza for two ranks to Lieutenant Colonel, and that author note is saying that that's the setting for Riza in the Red maker story the author is making there, yet on the next page Riza is right back to Lieutenant with no explanations, and Riza remains Lieutenant for the rest of the story. Hence I eliminated mentioning that author note altogether to avoid unnecessary inconsistency from the main story. You can add that in if you want, (and, accordingly, change any reference to Riza's rank to Lieutenant Colonel on that page,) but then Riza's rank will be right back to Lieutenant, and you will get stuck with the inconsistency.

BTW, that page came out nice!! Thanks for doing the "bubbling"!!

@Starrieidgirl - Yes I know about the thread, because I'm the one working on the threads and did the merge.^^ I'm in the middle of sorting out threads, merging similar threads, or eliminating/closing duplicate threads and such, and I do not want the part 1 of this thread to get lost in the shuffle, or get deleted by accident, since that one had been already closed, and so it's like one step away from getting deleted. Hence, I attached part 1 to this one, if temporarily, possibly, for the safe keeping. I have all the necessary original info for the two separate threads, and if needed I can separate them again when all the sorting is done, and if that is deemed appropriate, or desirable. I'm still in the middle of sorting out, so I'm not sure which is better as my opinion, but all I know is that the reason the first one was closed is because the person who closed it thought the thread was getting too long, (at 26 pages!!) so he closed the part 1 and opened the part 2, which is this one, and yet this one grew to be more than 670 pages!! So, the original reason of closing the part 1 at 26 pages does not hold water any longer. In that sense I think we can keep them together, or if everyone desire them to be separate, I can separate them again later when the sorting of threads in the forums are done. Anyway, it's still ongoing thing, and it might take some more time. Meantime, sorry for the inconveniences this might cause/have caused to all our friends on the Royai thread!!
(BTW, if both threads are to be kept together, maybe we can celebrate page 750 sooner, and that's the three quarters of the way to 1000 page mark!! )

(For all of the non-theater-folk here, that's the person in charge of finding and organizing all of the props for the show. It's usually not a cast member, but our crew is shorthanded.)

But as for that inconsistency that you were talking about, Tombow, I think that since she was promoted to Lt. Colonel, in the following pages she just simply shortened it by dropping the Col. part - I guess she figured that with the note there that it was implied... *shrugs* I'm not going to worry about it, though...

I'm going to go and do up the next page, then. My goal is to do at least one a day (every day that I'm on the site, at least) - I'll post it whenever "my turn" comes up for a new post.

Yes, there are a number of theatre geeks on this thread. (Starrie and I are two of them...) I actually had this crazy idea of going back to school and finishing out my theatre degree. Running masquerades at anime cons has reminded me just how much I enjoyed theatre in college, and that I actually had talent in that subject matter... Hmmm...

And, with that, I have absolutely NOTHING else constructive to add to this thread.

@ TNFMA Guys and Dolls is a widely beloved musical typically done in HS or in revivals at Broadway or the West End. I believe just last year in London there was a revival of the musical starring Patrick Swayze, I could be wrong though.

@ rls Prop mistress! I know that role inside and out! Did it just a few months ago and I'm damn good at it! I was actually in charge of props my senior year of HS, for only a term, dance team took precidence (sp). Question/Challenge: Do you know where the phrase "Break a leg" comes from????

@ Tombow - I'm sorry - and I never did doubt your abilities as a translator - it's just you said it was alright if I smudged a few things... besides, some of the translations wouldn't have fit into the bubbles (at least, not with the program I was using...) I wasn't aware that we had "clashing views"... but ok... I guess I'm just really, really confused, is all... Kinda hurt and confused, but a bit relieved - one less thing to have to worry about (maybe I can get more than 5 hours of sleep a night)... Yeah. Sorry, Tombow - guess I wasn't aware that I messed up *that* badly...
