I would. I have only seen the episodes as they air on CN, but even from the little bit I've seen of Riza, calling anyone, especially a DOG, 'punk' sounds really out of character for her. And unless my closed captioning is wrong(I put it on to check), she does say pup.

This is the only episode I actaully thought was better than the Japanese verison. Except for the very beginning when Ed mocks Roy. His Japanese VA did much better at that. Other than that, this was pretty awesome. The small changes to the dialouge were hysterical! Espically Riza telling Black Hayate he has a "strict Mommy now".

Man, this post is turning into a cival war between dub and sub fans.

Why did Roy not want to fight Ed at first? I find it hard to believe a battle hardened soldier like Mustang would doubt his skills and actually be afraid of Ed. I thougt that maybe it was because he is starting to like and admire Ed for his persistance in achieving his goal.
Please respond with opinions/facts.

First, think back to the end of the episode and the end of the fight. Roy doesn't want to go there mentally if he doesn't have to.

Second, Roy is a lazy SOB and fighting Ed means he'd have to break a sweat.

Because deep down Roy knows that Ed has mad skillz and a fight with him probably wouldn't be a cake walk.

That episode was so hilarious to me for some odd reason.

I watched the rerun last night, it looks like Ed starts to change his mind about Mustang after he tells him about Marco. Maybe he is starting to like Roy, but probably not(DO NOT tell me if he is or isn't, I want to find out by watching the show). I still can't get over how awesome that ending with Scar was, the music was really evil sounding.

I had my own personal FMA marathon tonight. I just finished watching Episodes
8-13, that ought to keep me satisfied until tomorrow night.

Well, it went something like that.

Yeah Hawkeye named the dog Black Hayate. I was cracking up when she was shooting at it.

I was just happy they left the random audience comments in.

Hughes: "In this corner... ROY MUSTANG!"
"GIVE ME BACK MY GIRLFRIEND!"

ya it was hilarous when Roy started 2 make fun of ed when ed tries 2 hide in the audience HA. i was cracking up

Things I love about this episode:

-How the people in the crowd aren't throwing the objects
-When you watch Hughes in slow-mo when his daughter's picture is falling on him, he doesn't even look human
-Before Mustang says his "I LOVE DOGS!" bit, he walks in and everyone looks at him...it looks like some HUGE yaoi scene would be going on. Or, I could be reading too many fanfics...x.x

I totally agree the fight was lame but it was pretty funny when edward got mad when Roy called him a shrimp

I love that ep its soo unique hey ur avatar dosent show i love all themes ive just started watching bleech ive been having withdrawils from fma coz ive seen it all including the movie wat should i watch so i dont burst out in tears from no more fma. That is a great ep coz its a break from all the serious stuff.

Love this episode! I like Roy in this episde the most! The "I love dogs" part and the "Tiny Miniskirts" part!
I have like this whole episode memorized!!!

I nearly jumped out of my chair when he said that...I was so surprised to see Roy act really...carefree with the puppy! =D Awww!

And the fight is way awesome, especially when Ed hides in the crowd and Roy HEAVILY hints that he wouldn't be able to find a small target, and he was actually taunting Ed so he'd spring up and Roy can set him on fire... XD

I was laughing so hard, and ever since then, this episode has been my all-time favorite, and the one that made me start fangirling Roy.

Yeah, when I first saw this I nearly died! Now everytime I'm in a bad mood I put in a FMA DVD (almost always this episode) and it cheers me up!

It was an GREAT episod. Fire everywere.....ooooo...fire....
